They were very punctual when they set an appointment; they scheduled service within the window of time projected; and they performed the services quoted exactly as stated. They left my yard as promised; they clean up after each portion of the job. Excellent experience overall!

The work performed and cleanup were great. However, the work was not as extensive as I envisioned.

First, I was given an estimate from one of the many arborists on staff. This individual was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and personable. I then scheduled an appointment day for the work to be done. A highly experienced crew arrived promptly on that date and did an exemplary job from start to finish. As an added bonus, the entire work crew was eager to answer any questions I had, and they quickly put me at ease when it came to removing the 100 foot tall decayed tree, which stood only ten feet from my front door. I could not have had a better experience using this company, and strongly recommend them to anyone in need of a tree service.

They were very careful how they cut some of the limbs because they were over the roof of the house. They also were careful with the smaller plants that were around. Did a wonderful job.

I have used their services before. They are very friendly, personable, do what they say the will and do a great job. They are always on time. They tell you how much it will cost before hand and it is always pretty close.

Quoted me an estimate. Company didn't adhere to the ad in the Angie's List publication. He said he would call to schedule a date and that never happened.

Based upon discussion with salesperson I was confident that this company would perform work as specified. However their estimate was 3 times the lowest bid and more than double of 2-3 other Angie's List service providers.

Our trimmed trees and holly bush look wonderful and the whole yard doesn't look so overgrown anymore. We've used Heartwood for over 20 years and we've never been disappointed. Their first concern is for the trees, and they are experts at correct pruning and care.

We're planning to have our house painted and knew that some things would need to be cut back to accommodate room for the painters. Plus we had these overhanging limbs touching the roof, never a good thing and the hollies were a nightmare. Heartwood gave us an estimate that was completely written out detailing each tree or shrub to be cut and exactly what should be removed. Very sensitive to maintaining the natural shape of our mature trees and plantings. As for the neighbor's tree on our fence, they contacted them and arranged payment for that service through them. Showed up on time, did the job quickly and cleaned up afterwards.

Craig first came out to my house to look at the trees that needed work and provide an estimate for the work that I wanted to be done. The actual work took place 10 days later and went very well. They spent five hours in my large oak tree and checked all the major limbs and branches. They removed dead material and answered all my questions about the health and safety of the tree. They also treated my oak tree with something called "camber stat," that should help the tree deal with the continued drought conditions we are experiencing. I called after the crew had left because I felt that they had not finished trimming my flowering cherry and Craig returned that day to finish everything to my satisfaction. Everyone associated with this company was very thorough and professional. They were a pleasure to deal with.

I gathered one other estimate, and Stephan's estimate was far more detailed and specific (which I really appreciated), so I hired Heartwood. A team of 4 men led by Craig came to the house today, and they moved carefully but steadily to handle all the necessary tree work in about 5 hours. They cleaned up all the limbs and debris, you'd hardly know that they had done such extensive work!

The crew arrived two hours early because of threat of rain. They had the job completed in about two hours. They were very professional and cleaned all the debris in the yard. Great job! Will hire again.

I chose a competitor with an almost right-on bid after finding out he graduated from my school, ASU. He also could get to the work within five days.

We were very happy with them. They showed up on time when they said they would. They even ground out the stump for us and cleaned up all the tree trimmings, even hauling them away. The workers were very professional and friendly. We would use them again and would recommend them to others.

Excellent! I admit it started out slow with trying to schedule the work in and a few missed calls both ways, but once connected. The work was done absolutely on time and beyond expectations. Literally no debris was left after the trees came down and my driveway was cleaner after they left!

We live in an older neighborhood with lots of big, established trees - mostly Sweet Gum and Pine, but also Oaks, Elms, Willow Oaks and Poplars. A large gum out front had several limbs which were hanging out over the roof and gutters. There was significant dead wood in several trees. We had lightning-struck pines and a sad little Tupelo that was dead. Our neighbor has a giant Willow Oak with some deadwood that overhangs our driveway. The roots of the Tupelo had been cut by a landscape guy this summer. With the help of Patrick George, Heartwood's owner & founder, we had been trying to nurse it all summer. Even the day the work began, Craig, the crew foreman, talked to me about trying to save the tree. Unfortunately, the drought on top of the root trauma had done it in. I have to say, the whole experience was great start to finish. Communication throughout was thorough. The work was exemplary. They went above and beyond with that Tupelo. I recommend them all the time and this is why.

They were amazing to watch in action in fact, everyone in the neighborhood came out to watch them as well. It was also a pleasure to talk with the people at Heartwood. They really love trees and were excited to talk to us about them. The price for removing the trees was fair & reasonable and the way that they do their billing was very clear. They took great care in getting the trees down not to damage anything and not to have a tree fall on our house. They also have certified arborists on their team who were very knowledgeable and when they came out they didn't just come out with 2 or 3 guys but a team of around 5 guys. They knew what they were doing and were very efficient. They also gave us follow up advice on how to care for our existing trees properly. I recommend Heartwood and I consider them my tree people from now on.

I think that they are very professional. They took care of everything. I had a small issue that they took care of immediately. They are an A+ company. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.
