Heartwood did an excellent job once again! The two pines were removed while I was at work, and, when I returned home that day after the job was completed I couldn't tell the trees were ever there except for the backfilled area where the crew ground the stumps. Although the crane and equipment were pulled into the yard, there were no marks on the lawn where they stood. I was hard pressed to find a pine cone left behind. Fantastic work. I've been telling everyone I know about it. One other detail: your advertising on WFAE public radio was another reason I chose Heartwood and will again the next time I need tree service.

It was probably about 50 feet high. They had to use a crane. It went terrific. They came by 8:30 which they had said they would. They were finished by noon. I left and came back. It was cleaned properly. They came the next day to grind the stump.

The visit was very informative. I met with Craig for about 40 minutes. We walked around my property and he provided information on all of my trees. The maple is ok. He gave me good advice on how to determine if other trees needed pruning. You can tell he really loves his job and won't sell a service unless it is absolutely necessary. At this time I don't need their services. But in the future, if I need a tree service company, I'll definitely call Heartwood.

It was excellent. They were punctual.

They didn't charge me and I found that hard to believe. My experience with them was fine. They weren't there long enough but they gave me an opinion as to what was wrong with the lay lands and told me that they needed watering. We spent around twenty minutes on that.

I was very happy with the work that was done. The three man crew was very professional and courteous. The work done was excellent and I was totally satisfied. Communication was good from the estimate through the end of the project. The yard was as clean after the project as before the crew arrived. I will use this company again if needed. I highly recommend them.

A large hickory tree was leaning toward our neighbor's property. We had Heartwood come out for an estimate. When Pete Grisewood saw the tree itself, he said that it needed to be removed right awayl. He said that he would check with his crew to see if they could return the next day as the tree was in danger of falling soon. The company called later the same day and advised that they could be at our home the next morning at 8:30. Todd and his crew arrived at 8:15 and immediately started to work. Due to the way the tree was leaning, they used a crane and bucket truck to take the tree down. By 10:15 am, the tree had been removed and the work area completely cleaned. Even our neighbor remarked on how professionally the job was done. Due to inclement weather, the stump grinding was done several days later. Again, a very professional job was done and the clean up as well.

The crew arrived right on time the day of their appointment. The job foreman explained everything he planned to do, and they were very careful in positioning their equipment while on site. I was very pleased with the way they performed the job, and they were very keen on cleaning up after the work was completed...even blew the leftover leaves and limbs off of my roof.

They are the best at what they do. They have the best clients and host the annul tree climbing event. I am familiar with this line of work and they are experts in this field. I will use them again in the future.

They offered to run a drill test on the root system of a large, white oak tree, to check the stability of the tree. They did what they had to do, but the tree was sound. They didn?t have to take it out. I had to spend only a couple of hundred dollars on a test as opposed to $3500 quoted by another company for taking the tree out. I didn?t disturb the eco-system of my community. They were conservative and they were able to save the tree rather than cutting it down. I follow that philosophy as well. They were terrific. They were very honest about the health of the trees. They charged me around $1000 for the job. They were also very professional and punctual. I?ll use them again in the future.

Their price was very reasonable. I did not feel like they were trying to take my money. They have also given me advice in regards to removing limbs from trees. I thought a limb needed removed and rather than taking it down and charging me they told me that it wasn't threatening my home and did not charge me for this consultation. They are very honest. I will use them again.

They are punctual and professional. When they are done you can't even find a wood chip. They are fascinating to watch and they are the best. I would give them my highest recommendation.

They made an appointment. They showed up on time. They were prompt and professional. They spent about 20 minutes speaking with me about my various trees. One tree had a fungus and answered all my questions regarding the issue. He was a certified arborist.

The three man crew arrived on the day and time promised, reviewed the work that was to be performed, and then periodically checked in with me to make sure that they were on track with the proposal. They even asked if there was anything else that I wanted done, as long as they had their equipment on site (not pushing anything, more to make sure I was satisfied). They did an excellent job cleaning up and then asked me to do another walk around to make sure that I was satisfied (which I was more than satisfied).

They were prompt in answering my emails. They were prompt in coming out and giving an estimate. They were on time. I will use them for this job.

I was extremely impressed with them. When I called them the person I talked to was very nice and took all of the information. She let me know the name of the person coming and when to expect him. Everything was done exactly right. He was very knowledgeable and gave me a lot of the information I was looking for without me even having to ask. He answered all my questions about safety issues and potential for damaging the trees. He had a printer with him so he was able to give me a printed out estimate right on the spot, which was really nice. On the back of the estimate it has all the information about insurance and workman's compensation as well as contact information. I did want to get other estimates otherwise I would hired him on the spot. I don't have anything to compare it to yet, but the price seems to be pretty reasonable.

The experience went very well and I am going to use them again. They cleaned up after themselves and you couldn't even tell that they were here. They were a little pricey, but, they had someone who could check the health of my trees which I really wanted.

I requested an arborist to take a look at my trees to make sure healthy and then to discuss some tree trimming. The gentleman who came out was very helpful and professional and identified all of my trees. I used the company to apply fertilizer to two trees and to trim tree branches around house. Everything was professionally done, and the clean-up was excellent. I wasn't home during the trimming, and other than knowing what was done you wouldn't have known they were there.

They were top-notch and I was really pleased with their work. They were very knowledgeable and very professional in their approach. We would use them again.

The aborist that came to our house to look at the tree and give us a recommendation was very thorough and spent a lot of time with us discussing the reasons that he felt the tree needed to be removed. The price he quoted was in the same range as a much less experienced firm that had given us a quote several months ago. The actual tree removal and stump grinding both went smoothly and quickly and I thought that the site was left very neat. The only negative experience I had during the process was that the tree removal crew came about a week earlier than our scheduled appointment. I was home at the time caring for my young child when I realized that they were outside beginning work (one large branch of the tree had already been removed). I was very upset as I wasn't really ready to say good-bye to the tree yet. I had received a call about an hour before the team came on site letting me know that they would like to come early and do the job, but as I was busy at the time and couldn't answer the phone, I didn't get the message until the work had already begun. I would have preferred that they wait to obtain my approval before going ahead and doing the work earlier than we had agreed (thus the B grade for responsiveness).

They came right out and removed the tree stump. I like that I did not have to be home, because they just sent us the bill. It was a very easy experience. I would use them again in the future.

These people are remarkable! They showed up to do the estimate on time, they provided the estimate on time and not just in writing, but via email -- they even had a drawing of our property and which trees would be removed. Of all the tree service providers, they were the most recommended, and they just did everything right. We anticipated they would arrive on the day of the work between 8 and 8:30, and they came -- with two huge cranes, a chipping machine and two other trucks -- at 8:10. They were both extrememly safety conscious and efficient -- the three trees were loved by us, and it was hard to see them go, but it was needed. The whole job was handled with extreme professionalism -- they even put the wood chips exactly where we wanted them and drove the last load over to a neighbors who wanted them -- at no extra charge. We would use them again at every opportunity.

The only problem I had was scheduling the work. The man came out promptly for an estimate and was very professional. But I faxed back the quote okaying the work and got no response. Then I called and was told they were a month out on scheduling the work. Still nobody got back to me with a tentative date. Finally, I called to see when they could come out and they ended up coming that same day because of a cancellation. Like I said, excellent work but they drop the ball and phone follow up and scheduling.

Front office was very helpful. Pete came out within a week to take a look at the trees. He assessed the situation, told me how I could save money by doing some of the initial clean-up myself, and then returned to offer a final assessment and suggest a plan. He was patient and thorough, and gave me his professional opinion without any pressure.

Very well. They have the best equipment I have seen. All personel are top notch people. Great job from start to finish.
