Fox Brothers Painting

I had to call a couple times to get the work scheduled. They finally came out and did the work and the room looks great. I did have to pay an additional $130 for extra materials.

Overall, they were very responsive and helpful throughout the estimate process. I think some deals look like they would fit a broader need but it is often difficult to assess what needs to be done on your own in advance of purchasing a deal, especially one as extensive as painting the entire exterior of the home, given the risk for wood rot or need for specialty paints, etc.

They came in a timely manner, and they finished up before time. They were so courteous and clean everything went wonderful!

The house was over grown. Once we cleared it out I felt we could handle it ourselves and save some money. The contractor was very prompt in getting me an estimate. I may use them for other work. Good experience.

It turned out well and there's a little clean up. We called them back and we had them coming take care of it. It was quite a time ago when we called them. I understand for my wife that she was contacted by the Fox Brothers job last week. They're doing a follow up, were very timely and the work's very nice. They said that they would be here and set a whole crew done in a couple of hours and we were happy it. We worked directly with them to do the rest of it and we felt pretty well in taken care of the cost. We knew we had more than the 99 dollars paint to do and it's a win for the both of us. It took them awhile to do their follow-up.

They were supposed to show up early on Monday morning and we did not hear from them till later that day. I called them and they told me they would be there by noon and at 1:30 they called and said they would be late but would still come. I called them back and rescheduled the job for early Wednesday morning. They called me at 12:00 and said they would be there by 1:00pm and they did come out and complete the work.

Service went well. We bought the Big deal, but as usual it did not cover the job so we had to pay another $190. (This is the typical Angie's list "big" deal experience.) Price is just a teaser offer and always costs more. Work was good, people showed up on time and were clean and efficient. I would recommend them again.

A professional designer was also available on staff and provided guidance on color choices, which was particularly helpful. Finished result exceeded expectations. Everyone I interacted with from start to finish of the project was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and responsive. Highly recommended business.

They did an excellent job. I would give them a AAA! I was so pleased. They were so clean, neat, and polite. They finished in about 5 hours. They were on time. Everything went so smoothly. The moved all of my furniture, and put everything back.

excellent service and beautiful paint job. coupon was 99 dollars for one room, but i needed two rooms and they were bigger than the coupon allowed for (200 feet or something). i was horrified when the actual bill was going to come to about 550 after the coupon was applied! but shame on me for not reading the fine print. i will call them back for other jobs but i will read the fine print from now on.

Overall I am fairly happy with the results of the work. As in every job there are some issues and I had a few. Fox Brothers came to paint several rooms of my home in early January. Dan had come out several months before to give me a quote. He was very knowledgeable and helped me decided on paint sheen. I'm very happy with the sheen he selected. We had our foyer, living room, formal dining room (including tray ceiling), kitchen, breakfast area, hallway and master bedroom done in two coats. In all rooms that were painted the trim and doors were also done. The painting crew came everyday on time and were an extremely pleasant group of men to work with. They job was supposed to last 3 days but they had to come out and extra day and repaint the kitchen and hallway. I was cautioned about this up front by Matt. My walls had builder grade paint on them and because of this the walls were very porous and needed a third coat. For the most part, I am very happy with the work they did. Unfortunately, I have several issues that would prevent me from recommending Fox Brothers wholeheartedly. The first being that both my counter tops and floors had to be scrubbed to get the paint and splatters off of them. Not a huge issue, but annoying. Then there were several spots at the top of my two story walls that were completely missed when painting. I had just had them come out and repaint the kitchen and hallway and I was tired of having people in my house so my husband got up on a ladder and touched up the walls himself. Also, I asked the crew to disassemble my bed a certain way because it is a large bed with supports in the middle that simply cannot be pushed. They didn't and ripped the supports out of my bed frame. I then had to take my mattress and box springs off again and fix it. My biggest issue, however, is that the painting crew somehow threw my custom bedroom blind valances away. Matt stated that he would get me new ones but I never saw them and never heard from him regarding the valances. I called and texted him a couple of times and he told me when he got them, he would let me know. I still have yet to hear from him almost two months later. That being said they did good work for me, but I am extremely unhappy with how they have handled my missing valances.

They have been very attentive, prompt and following what I need. The guys seem knowledgeable and nice.

My master bath has large mirrors and a big window plus the shower stall and hot tub. I did all the spackle and priming prep work and got it ready. Not a whole lot of wall space to paint. They also painted my "water" room where the toilet is. The crew of 4 did a good and rapid job - though there were some drips to clean up. Dan, the owner, stopped by afterwards to inspect and clean up the drips. However, when you add the trim, ceiling, and doors to be painted the total was around $320. I supplied all the paints (walls, ceiling, and doors/trim). Not such a killer deal - not bad, but without the deal this would have been $450 - 500 which is way over-priced for painting a small bathroom. They did a good job, but not sure I would do it all over again.

It went well. They were professional and did a good job. I paid some extra money for a second room to be painted. I was very pleased with them. The price included the paint for both rooms. It was Sherwin Williams paint. They had to prime it and put paint on top of that.

They were quick and were very good at what they did. We were very pleased with their work.

Quick response by Fox Brothers to schedule the estimate. Once estimate was accepted, the job start was prompt. Project included, replacing countertops, extending and adding cabinet to existing island. Removal of knee wall and painting kitchen and ceiling. The job was done quickly. The workers were courteous and true professionals. We are very happy that we choose to go with Fox Brothers, We would hire them again if needed. .

I do not typically take the time to review a company that I have worked with, but I really wanted other people out there to know that this is such a professional company with exceptional customer service. My husband and I recently purchased a new home in Waxhaw. After getting tired of the builders beige, we decided to start asking around for names of reputable paint companies in the area. We chose 3 companies to interview and have estimate our project. Fox Brothers was our last scheduled interview and we knew before Dan (our estimator and owner of the company) left, that this was the company we were wanting to use. He provided us our detailed estimate within 48 hours and offered to go through it with us if needed. The estimate was a bit higher than the others we received, but we decided that when it comes to our biggest investment (our home) we were willing to pay a little bit extra to ensure superior workmanship and professionalism. In addition, it was just as important to us to spend our hard earned money with a company that actually still believes in the importance of customer service. Needless to say, we are more than happy with the project and our home looks terrific. From the office staff to the crew to the project manager, we couldn't have been more pleased. We have another estimate already scheduled with Fox Brothers for the end of March for hardwood flooring installation.

They painted one bedrooms with lots of windows and trim. Also, painted the outside railing.

They painted one room two coats of paint and a bathroom walls and trim. Excellent work, nice polite guys! Would use them again without hesitation.

I purchased a Big Deal coupon from them. The service was great. They had a good estimate and provided good service. They made sure they covered everything and there were no paint droppings. They came out for the estimate pretty quickly but there was a delay as I didn’t know that I have to watch my Angie’s list mailbox for a response as I thought they will email me directly or call me but it was my fault.

They did quality work, in a timely manner, at an affordable price, with very frienly customer service!

I almost hate to leave a review, because I'm afraid they will get even busier and be hard to get ahold of! As a Realtor, I have used a ton of painters. Some decent, some less than mediocre, some overpriced, some unreliable. I love these guys and am totally looking forward to sending them more work. They were quick, clean, honest, stuck to the bid. They even put the furniture back. Highly, highly recommend.

I purchased a big deal (x2) from them yesterday. They sent me an email this morning and let me know that they could only honor deal. I must have missed it; I did not see the restrictions of the deal on the site; not saying it wasn't there - just not something I picked up on easily. My suggestion is to have restrictions highly visible on the site.
