I called Father and Sons to set up an appointment to go over the work we wanted done for a quote. I was asked about the scope of work and was given an approximate phone estimate by the receptionist and told I would receive a phone call by the boss. He did call back and left a voice message. When I returned his call, I again spoke with the receptionist who gave me a verbal quote over the phone based on the message I had left for her boss. I was told the work would be over $1,200 dollars and would take an entire day to do. I am a licensed interior designer and have worked in the construction industry for twenty years. I have never experienced this situation in my career. Not only was I shocked that no one was willing to come to our home to get a visual on what needed to be done, but the cost and time allotment was out of line for what needed to be done. We hired another electrician who happily came out to give us a quote and provided everything we wanted done in less than four hours for half of what Father and Sons receptionist quoted us over the phone, and his price included the under cabinet lighting with a remote control and all other materials! Father and Sons probably are quality electricians, however, we got the feeling that the work we wanted done was not worth their time to even take a look. It was unprofessional to say the least. We have more work that we would like to have done and we will continue to use the other electrician who did come out to quote and executed the work.

It went great! I got a little extra time from him when I offered to clean up. He did everything in record time, perfectly. He is a true professional. He answered all my questions. Actually it was fun. I will use Father and Son, and Angie's list again.

Louis Sharp called me to say he was on his way. Very personable & professional. He had to fix another handyman's mistakes (be part detective) & put up a light fixture in kitchen. Could not have more pleasant or easier to deal with.

It was horrible. I had to call them to schedule appointment, then they gave me an all day /8 hour window for appointment. Then they called the day before to cancel. When it was rescheduled the contractor called me and said there would be ADDITIONAL CHARGES before he even walked in the door, service charge, extra time charges. I told them that was not what the" Angies list deal", and it was only to be $99. The gentleman on the phone still stated there would be additional charges. I cancelled the service and called Angies List. AL verified with me there were no other hidden costs with the deal I purchased. I would not recommend this company if they are not going to stand by their agreements, as well as the office staff never mentioned additional charges the 2 times I spoke with them.

The service was exemplary. I called and set the schedule, which was properly kept. I received a call before arrival that the electrician was on his way (and which verified that I was indeed able to receive him). The electrician determined the best source of power, and wired from that to the receptacle desired. He measured other receptacles that were visible from that location, and matched the height. In addition to the $99 special offer, I paid for the wire and the receptacle. He worked efficiently, and no additional time was billed.

provider installed meter box and also alerted me to some issues I had with my electrical box that could have started fire. Provider showed me burnt wires and what was causing them. He fixed issues at no additional cost.

Wonderful company and employees. Always concerned about my satisfaction of the work performed. Louis and Chris were the absolute best and they cleaned up well after the job.

Second time I used Father and Son. Both times were good experiences. They were able to troubleshoot and fix a broken wire that was taped up by a previous owner resulting in it arcing to the breaker box and becoming intermittent. Lights work great now. No additional charges.

I spoke with the someone from the company to check to see what time the technician was coming out to perform the service. When speaking to the man from the company I informed him that I did have a ceiling fan and he said there would be an additional charge to remove the ceiling fan. I informed him that no where in the fine print of the coupon does it state there will be extra charges for removal of the ceiling fan. When I asked him to please point out where this is stated in the coupon the man became rude and said well I can see we do not want to do business with you. I said ok and informed him I would be speaking to Angie's List about this to which he said go right ahead we like bad reviews.

The electrician arrived and started to work. I bought an Angie's List Deal, $99 for $200.00 worth of service. He had a rough time putting in the microwave which was of standard size. Took him awhile to do this. He seemed to take a long time just changing out flush light fixtures in two hallways. When he was done, he presented me with a bill with a balance of $300.00. I thought that was kind of steep since I already paid for $200.00 worth of services. I noticed that there was a $125.00 service/travel fee which was not located on the contract. He said the girl in the office told me about that but I found that odd since he wasn't on our phone conversation. She did not mention this charge. If she had, I would have cancelled the service. He also charged me for three hours of service at $125.00 each hour minus the $200.00 I already paid for in the deal. I was very disappointed in the time it took him to do the work. I don't believe the work I needed to be done should have exceeded the $200.00 of service I paid for. I ended up not paying the entire amount disputing the service fee. I tried to contact them about this extra charge & told him it was not in the contract. He said there was no contract & I told you about it as well as the girl in the front desk told you. He said he was going to take my the court to get the money.

I was under the impression that the $99 for $200 of electric services was the total amount to be paid. However, I was told that there was a service charge for coming to my house of $125 and a minimum charge of $125 per hour.

The worker did a great job with the ceiling fan and the outlet. We purchased two hours electrical work through an Angie's List Big Deal for $99.00. Well the big surprise was that the company charged a hidden fee of $85.00 for service and travel time! So that made our price almost double. We expressed concern about this, but accepted it. He also told us our outdoor socket was probably short circuiting and that the way to fix it would be a whole house surge protector. We said we were not interested, but he said, "they are easy to install. Let me get two from my truck and show them to you." We should have said, "No means no." He shows the surge protectors to us and talks about their advantages. The better model he would install for $600.00 and the other for $450.00. He said it would take no more than half an hour to Install. We listened to his whole talk, but we said, "No thank you." He said, "let me call my boss and see if we can get a lower price." So he haggled on the phone a bit and got the boss to give us the better model for $450.00. Don't laugh. He convinced us. He wrote up the bill for the days work, and for the surge protector. Don't laugh here either. I signed it, and he put through the credit card charge. Then he ran out to get a part he needed. I did some research while he was gone. We were floored! The surge protectors were $49.99 and $69.99 at Home Depot! I called his boss right away. I told him what the prices were for the exact models at Home Depot. He was wordless and said that he had no idea what they cost. After a bit of stumbling around, he said that he guessed I wanted a refund. I said that he was totally correct, The electrician returned and did the paper work for the refund. I showed him the products on Home Depot's website. He, likewise, expressed shock at the difference in price. So in the end, we can out okay, but we still had to pay the travel fee. When I look into any other deal, you can be certain that I will ask about hidden fees. Hopefully others of you out there can take notice that there are lots of people ready to take advantage of you if you haven't done your home work. The final kick here is that the name of the company is Father and Son Electric. - Father meaning God the father and Son meaning Jesus.

Chris called from shop first thing in morning and advised gps said he would be there in 1 hr. He arrived within the hour explained the charges and rates and went right to work. He took care to protect the floor and went about the job with obvious knowledge and excellent suggestions for me. He asked several times about options that we had for the way things could be done and explained the pluses and minuses to each for me. We worked in the attic running wiring and making sure things were right. He did excellent work and was very efficient with his time. He had all parts needed on his truck. After he completed his installation he took the time to be sure I understood the wiring connections I would need to make for the fan I would install later. I very much appreciated that. I do not know anything specifics about this company but the two individuals that I had contact with, the office person and Chris the electrician did an excellent job handling my request and completing the work. I wish I could have 10 people like Chris working for me. Knows his stuff and is an extremely hard worker. The 85 dollar charge for a service call was a bit much I thought and was not described up front on the Angies List offer.

Lewis was very knowledgeable and friendly. I sent an email Friday night and had my outlet installed Saturday by 11!

Chris was amazing. It was not easy for him to track downthe problem due to the way our electrical was laid out. He did wonderful finding isolating the issue. He kept us informal and was very professional.

They did a great job. They came and they left when they're done. It was really good. It was professional and it was done like I would do when I go service my clients. I never had any problem with them. They came out, did the work in a very timely manner and they're reasonably priced.

I am completely satisfied with how Chris knew his job.

The electrician was knowledgable, helpful and very hard working. He worked non-stop for 6 hours or more and was so pleasant and personable!
