Excel Cleaning Service

What was cleaned was clean. But what wasn't done (floors were not scrubbed or even mopped), was disappointing. (Plus the oven ordeal). Overall it just didn't look like 8 hours of cleaning to me.

Showed up on time as agreed and did the work satisfactorily.

It was clean, but not what I considered a deep clean. Like the oven and major appliances, baseboard type of clean.

When I first called Excel cleaning service, someone answered the phone with, "Hello?" This prompted me to ask is this Excel cleaning service to which the response was yes and then after a pause, she asked, "How may I help you?" The cleaning was scheduled quickly and within my date range. However, the first cleaner arrived 45 minutes early, while I was still precleaning (straightening and hiding). The other two cleaners arrived 20 minutes later and I left not long after. When I came home? I was disappointed by the quality of work. I specifically asked that floors be cleaned well; I swept the kitchen afterward and collected half a pan of visible dirt. I am aware I bought a deal, but it was for deep cleaning. This was a superficial clean at best. I am disappointed in Excel and Angie's List.

It was difficult getting a hold of this company to begin with. Once I scheduled with them they were punctual and very thorough and attentive to everything I asked them to do.

I had a difficult time getting in touch with the provider. Two people showed up late - it was a husband and wife team. The man did all the work as the woman was more interested in making comments on my décor. It was weird and disturbing to me to have this woman in my home. I hired them to clean my house not to make a friend...on my dime. They also could not stay the entire scheduled time and had to send a replacement who also could not stay the entire time.To the credit of the owner of this business, when I called to explain the situation she acted immediately. She sent another woman over who did an excellent job.

I'm quite torn on this. I worked along side the ladies to get my vacant house on the market and found them quite nice and trustworthy, but the resulting cleanliness was lacking and I had to redo much. Candace(the owner) was quite responsive and accommodating to setting up the appointment after I bought a deal. I bought 8 man hours and was to receive a 2 woman team for 4 hours, perfect. The first lady arrived on time, but the second couldn't make it. The worker notified Candice. arrangements were made to come the next day. My schedule is flexible so this was ok. The initial worker cleaned for 4, maybe 5 hours at a good pace in the ways I directed. I enjoyed working and chatting with her as we are about the same age. The next day she and Candice came to my home to finish the cleaning (at this time I don't remember all the exact hours per person, but know I got the promised 8 in total.) They began finishing the cleaning and Candice commented on how smudgy some windows were....I told her that her employee had done them the day before. She seemed surprised and said they were not to her standard (they weren't to mine either, but I didn't want to make a fuss). Candice redid them (1st floor bedroom facing South) and while it was better, it was still smudgy and I redid it later. At this point I would give them a 6 of 10 in quality. But then one (I'm sorry this was a few months ago) made a big deal of how important it was that they mop themselves out for the perfect floor. Ok, cool. But it was a terrible mop job! It looked worse than before. I redid it after it dried. Overall, I vacillated about rehiring them while my house was on the market. Pros: Nice, trustworthy, easy to accommodate. Cons: didn't clean very well and at the end of the day, I just need the house clean to sell. I wish them very well, but will not rehire.

It worked out very well. They did a great job. There was no additional charge. They were on time and very thorough. It was a good value for what I paid.

They did a good job on the cleaning of my home and were very professional. I had no problem leaving my home while they preformed their duties. Everything was handle well while the two person crew was at my home. I did have to follow up with them the morning of the appointment to confirm there arrival.

I had used their services previously. Scheduling was fine. When they came out to see the house, they determined that the job was more than they could handle. I have not used the deal yet.

It went well. It was nothing spectacular, but it did meet my expectations. My only complaint is that they had to come out twice since they arrived late to the first appointment.

They did a good job but I was a little disappointed that they didn't dust baseboards and wipe down cabinets in kitchen. The first time this company cleaned at our house, Candice the owner was here and she did a super job. I guess this just shows the difference between employees and owners. All in all, I would still give them an A rating.

I am very pleased. Girls cleaned top to bottom - dusting, wet mopping and more. Christina and LaTonya were very friendly. They asked questions as they cleaned and made sure that I was pleased before they left. I am recovering from surgery and they were able to clean around me with ease! I will use again and would definitely recommend to others. Candace was fantastic about allowing me to reschedule due to some personal issues that arose. She is one nice lady

It was great. My house hadn't been cleaned in a while, so they weren't able to get to all of it, but the rooms they did get to were spotless when they got done (including the microwave and the stove, which were in rare form).

Unable to schedule and no responses. I have called a couple times and left a voice mail.

They were fantastic and I was really pleased with them.

I reached out to them but I never heard back so I was unable to use this deal.

They did a great job and my wife was very pleased with their work. I would recommend them.

Scheduling was fine. I had no problems and they did a good job.

It went well. We paid for what we got, there were not costs beyond that. They did a good job. Nothing stuck out that made us sorry we bought the service. We were not disappointed.

My kitchen and refridgerator was already bare so it was easy cleaning. My fridge wasn't cleaned out well nor were my countertops. The girl was talking on her cell phone cleaning, discussing her private business as well as her employer. The company was apologetic and did not make me pay for the service, which I think was the right thing to do. I will still not recommend them to anyone. There were two people. The other male worker did a good job.

Excel sent a husband and wife team to work for 4 hours. They did a very good job. We have had other cleaning services that were pretty terrible. These guys were great. They actually cleaned to the same high standard that I do when I clean my house. (I didn't feel the need to go around after them and finish the job.) They were also very pleasant and professional. We have hired them again to clean this month, and are considering a regular schedule. All other previous services we would not have considered asking back.

Making my appointment: This was a hassle and took some time to get a hold of them. They use an answering service and don't answer their phone. I probably called 5 times, and send a few emails before connecting a week later. Appointment: Two ladies arrived on time and were very nice. I gave them a list of the things that I found most important and left them to do their thing. At some point, one of them quit and both of them left my house after about an hour or so. They were short staffed and had another appointment after mine. Two others showed up to continue cleaning - they were very friendly and apologized for the event. The biggest thing I wanted cleaned was my wood floor. This would have required some deep cleaning - hands and knees to get it clean. They went over it with a damp mop and it looked worse after it dried than before it was cleaned. One of the ladies that quit sprayed our new Williams Sonoma towel with bleach. I was told they would replace it or cut me a check, but that never happened. I would try and contact them, but given my first experience it wouldn't be worth it. I think they have potential and overall could have it together, but that wasn't my experience. Overall score D+.

I contacted the company after purchasing the Big Deal on December 17 explaining that I had hand surgery and needed someone to help clean our home. I heard from them immediately stating that they had no openings at the time (the week before Christmas), but would put me on their cancellation list. I have not received one email from them even after my having sent several emails trying to set up a time. I'm sure they were inundated with schedule requests before Christmas, but an email sent my way with regrets would have been more professional than my being ignored.

Great. Two people worked diligently for 4 hours.
