Description of Work: The tech was excellent and a super nice guy. My main complain was the cost. I had a pipe with a leak in it from the upstairs pipes behind the bathroom. I just thought the cost was outrageous. I know it is expensive to run trucks, etc, but this was over the top. The main reason given is because the guy had to cut a 2ft square hole in the ceiling so they called it a "demolition" charge. I could have easily cut that out for him myself had I known. I also had him replace the other pipe while he was up there which consisted of about 2 lengths of 6ft PEX. The actual replacement of pipes took about 30 minutes. The opening of the ceiling about the same. I just don't get how it could be $900. I think it is crazy how all these plumbers seem to have "job" pricing, which essentially enables them to jack up the rates for simple jobs. Be fair with people, have a minimum charge, but no reason to charge easily double or more than what it should have cost.

When the bill came, found out that the standard fee was $ 199.00 The surprise was the ADDITIONAL charge of $ 69.00 for "Dispatch" The $ 20.00 Angie's List discount softened the blow a little. Total charge $ 248.00 which seems high for 40 minutes work, even if you include travel time. (We live in the Providence Road area)

Description of Work: I called because I thought I might have a leak in my water supply from the city. They told me how to check it myself which was dead simple. They told me that is what they would do if they came out to check it for me. They could have charged me to come check it.

Description of Work: Emergency Response Plumbing is the best! Left a message with answering service on Sun. evening and received a call at 7:00 a.m. Monday - plumber was at house by 8:00 a.m. Prompt, professional and able to fix problem. Also used Emergency Response about a year ago to replace a broken water main ... they did so without completely ruining my front lawn. Will definitely use them again!

Description of Work: My basement hot water sprung a leak that was ruining my floor. After researching different plumbing services on Angie's List I contact this company. There is a minimum, about $100.00 service charge just to show up. I found a water heater on a home improvement store's website that met my needs for less than $600.00. I had planned to have this guy give me an estimate for a couple of other plumbing projects that I am planning. When the plumber showed up, I told about the water heater I found. He stated that they only install water heaters they supply. At that 100.00 away or go ahead with him. They had me over a barrel, wait longer and run the risk of further damage my floors or, eat at least $300 to $400 excessive costs. He also stated the heater had to be inspected. Implying that the city requires new waters be inspected. At that point the plumber had lied to me. He was at my house a total of 2 hours. I was ripped off and lied to. I do not recommend companies that charge excessively and misstate important issues. I will not use them again.

Description of Work: Jim with E.R plumbing was very professional and didn't take up too much time. He very efficiently corrected the leak on my toilet without the need for any tools by making an adjustment which corrected the problem the leak. I was always afraid to call because of the upfront service fee and by the job fee but I am glad I called them and will call again.

Description of Work: Late Saturday (about 4:45 P.m.) I reached Emergency Response Plumbing by phone. They were here within an hour and had to replace my hot water heater. By the way the hot water heater was located under our home and a lot of work had to be done before they could get under the house. The had to remove the water first. They did a great job and worked for several hours. If I ever need a plumber again Emergency Response Plumbing will get a call from me. They did a wonderful job and were truly professionals at what they do.

Description of Work: I recently purchased a home where the starter on the gas logs is not working. They were very short with me on the phone and told me that they did not work on gas inserts. I mentioned one of the reports that I had read online and he just blew me off. Not a good first experience.
