 + -1 moreERP was very prompt in returning my phone call and in scheduling an appointment. Even after they scheduled, they called back to try to get in earlier as their schedule permitted. The work was effective, and the toilet runs fine now. They charged a $59 dispatch fee in addition to the cost of the project, for a total of $186 for less than 30 minutes of work. The only surprise and the only negative was the overall cost which seems high.
Description of Work: Fixed a broken float in toilet.

Job 2: Everyone, from the receptionist to the technicians are always polite and a joy to deal with. They have the kind of customer service that one just doesn't see too often anymore. I would recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: Job 1: Investigated a leak from our 2nd story into the ceiling below.($103.) Job 2: We had an alarm going off on the ''anti-gravity'' pump in the basement. They came out the same day, assessed the problem, explained it to me, along with our options. They fixed the problem quickly. The problem reoccurred six weeks later and they came out and fixed it again for free even though the problem was that our children are using too much toilet paper and I buy the thickest kind so it was jamming the pump.($422.)

 + -1 moreThe repair man was very patient and tried to save the old toilet. He was very neat and went out of his way to complete the job in just the one day. Not sure what a new toiled installed costs today but I thought $650 was a little high, but they did come out the same day I called. Very quick service which is very important.
Description of Work: Originally tried to rotor clean the toilet but that did not work. We had to have the toilet replaced with a new one.

 + -1 moreWhile also being very professional and competent, Jerry Rysanek was very nice and personable and extremely pleasant to work with. He explained EVERYTHING he was doing and although I know a reasonable amount about plumbing, I also learned a lot. He was very straightforward and was informative issues/problems the house may have in the future. I would always call Parker Plumbing first if I could not fix it myself.
Description of Work: Main cutoff valve in our "new" 1967 home began leaking when I tried to work it. (Probably had not been used by the previous owner for the last 20 years) The valve was in the crawlspace and had a very long square shaft sticking out through a hole in the foyer closet floor. The valve was in a very hard-to-reach place in the crawlspace. I know a reasonably lot about plumbing and have changed main valves, but I was afraid to tackle this one myself. Jerry (Rysanek) cut the old one out and replaced it with a new ball valve with compression fittings. (I told him I was planning to cut a much larger hole in the floor of the closet and install an access door). Main pipe was also corroded on the outside due to previous moisture problem in the basement, so this was not an easy job.

 + -1 moreShirley answered the phone and helped me with selecting a replacement unit. She was very polite and helpful. She quoted me the price for the service and even called back to tell me of a price adjustment due to the type of water heater I was replacing. I had done some research on water heaters and knew that my unit was more expensive to replace, so this did not surprise me. Terry, the service representative, arrived promptly and proceeded to install the new unit and remove the old one. He was polite, efficient and very helpful. I was very pleased with the whole transaction from start to finish.
Description of Work: Replaced water heater with a new unit...the old one had started to leak...Quick service was needed.

 + -1 moreThe work was done well, on time. There was a slight leak after he left, but a phone call to the company resulted in an immediate return to repair the leak. The plumber was very helpful in explaining how the system works and working with me as I ran and connected the electrical wires for the pump.
Description of Work: Installed a Grundfos pump and an insulated return line from the hot water line furthest away from the hot water heater. The pump, when turned on, recirculates the hot water from the water heater in the garage to the hot water supply at the shower in the master bathroom at the far diagonal corner of the house. This prevents my having to waste 2-3 gallons of water to get hot water to the bathroom. The system works wonderfully. Rather than putting it on a ''timer'' or having it run constantly, I have it connected to a switch in the bath room. I turn on the switch and within 2 minutes I have HOT water at the shower and sink and have used a minimal amount of water. There is some heat loss as the water runs through the 180 feet of pipe as it returns to the cold water feed on the water heater, but that is nominal heal lost as it runs only when I need hot water. The pump is off most of the time.

water heater repair
 + -1 moreConsidering the fact that it was the Friday before Christmas, we were especially pleased when David Parker came out the next day and did the job as promised. This type of heater required a lot more work to match to the existing flue hole in the wall, but they charged no more labor, only for the more expensive heater. They did a very good job of explaining why this type water heater cost several hundred dollars more than the regular type most of us are familiar with. David did most of the work, and it was done very professionally. Great job.
Description of Work: Emergency Response Plumbing replaced a leaking water heater the next day, and did a great job. The heater was a special closed system type with its own outside air intake. It also exhausts through the same hole in the wall and does not connect to the furnace flue that exhausts through the roof. This required that the heater system be matched to the existing hole in the basement wall. It also requires a permit and inspection because of the trickier installation.

Used a flat pricing schedule that was useless when the repair was not included in the schedule. Jerry was the plumber, was nice but spoke broken English and could not explain repair needed. Overall, they made a simple repair that cost $250. Could have explained what was need to me and saved us both the trouble and most of the cost so I could do it myself. Will not use again.
Description of Work: Connection with sunk pump was broken, creating a foot of water in basement.

 + -1 moreI left a message at 7:00 AM and they had someone out here by 8:30 AM. They had a problem finding the clog and finally concluded that the problem was on the city's part of the line. They called the city and had them out here immediately. They stayed on the job while the city did their work to make sure that everything was fixed. I was impressed that they had the city out here and the problem fixed before noon. They were definitely not inexpensive but they were expedient and professional.
