Carpet To Go is a full-service flooring and countertop company with locations in North Charleston, SC, as well as Mooresville, Concord & Charlotte, NC. We are a family-owned company that has been in business since 1994. We separate ourselves from other retailers in the following ways: -Installation – All of our contractors work for us. We have excellent training and we are accountable for all work we perform. -Salespeople – Our low pressure, knowledgeable salespeople make sure that you get the right products that fit your specific needs. -Mission Statement – As a company, we have written down what is important to us. As our customer you can be comfortable knowing we live by a core set of principles. -Product Selection – Our four showrooms have it all. You can choose from our expansive in-stock inventory or choose from our huge array of special-order goods. -Price – Due to our purchasing power, we have the best prices you will find anywhere. Our commitment is to beat the "big box" stores on price and service. -Immediate Installations – On our in-stock items we can probably install your flooring the next day.
We re-carpeted the entire upstairs of our home - approximately 2,000 square feet - and received superior service from Carpets To Go. We gave the sales manager, Brad, a budget and asked him for recommendations, with the usual expectations of highest quality and lowest price. He reviewed our options with us thoroughly, explaining the different varieties of carpets and padding, to help us reach our decision within budget. Furthermore, the team that installed the carpet was very skilled and highly professional. They brought certain matters to our attention that enabled us to improve the upstairs. The team worked for two full days, finished on time and cleaned up after the installation immaculately. We strongly recommend the company and will cheerfully use them for our future flooring needs.
Description of Work: We re-carpeted the entire upstairs of our home - approximately 2,000 square feet.

I hired Carpet To Go & More to replace the carpet and pad on the entire second floor of my house, as well as the downstairs guest bedroom. I also ordered top of the line wall to wall carpeting cut to size and bound to use as area rugs on the main level of my home. I worked with Brad and felt like from the beginning of the process, his goal was to ensure that I purchased carpet that I love, that would work with an active family with two young children, while still working within our budget. It was very helpful to go to the showroom, see different samples next to each other, and be able to take home sample boards. The day of installation, the crew showed up on time, worked quickly and effectively and cleaned up after themselves. They were courteous and professional. I am in love with our new carpeting. It feels like walking on a cloud, shows no dirt (so far) and looks so elegant. A huge upgrade over the builder-grade carpet we replaced. I am very pleased.
Description of Work: Replaced all of the carpet on the second floor.
We initially worked with Carpets to Go in connection with a water damage insurance claim. They were recommended by the restoration company we were working with. The salesman, Steve, was very helpful and he took care of ordering the new hardwood and vinyl needed to correct the damage. We were extremely pleased with the work that hardwood installers Scott and Brent performed. They were pleasant, prompt, professional and cleaned up after themselves each night. They completed the tear out and new hardwood installation in just 2 1/2 days. Another crew installed the vinyl in the laundry room. They also did an excellent job. We were so pleased with this work that when we decided to replace the carpeting in our family we called Carpets to go to complete the job.
Description of Work: Initially, we worked with Carpets to Go as results of a water damage insurance claim. We were so pleased with the service that we subsequently had them replace the carpet in our family room.

We recently purchased a home that needed new carpet, padding, tack strips, and transition pieces throughout, as well as bathroom vinyl. We chose Carpet to Go on W.T.Harris Blvd. after comparing the prices and the products of several other local businesses and discount stores, as well as the big box hardware stores. Brad was our consultant. He was knowledgeable, down-to-earth, and very helpful. He really listened to us and made sure that he understood our expectations and concerns throughout the process. He also did a great job of explaining both the installation process and the types/quality of carpets that were best suited for our circumstances. The installers, Ernesto and Giovanni, did a very good job. We were not at home when the install was completed, but they cleaned up after themselves, added transition pieces where needed, and it has all the hallmarks of a quality installation. Two months later and carpet is still flat and smooth. We can find no evidence of bulging, warping, wrinkling, or pulling away from the walls. Cutouts for the HVAC floor vents were tight and accurate, and the seams in the carpet are invisible. A wood transition piece was needed between a corner of the kitchen laminate floor and the carpet, but we did not have extra pieces for them to use. Brad picked out a great color to match and the installers metered the piece so that the edges connect perfectly. Overall we are very happy with the install as well as the brand of carpet Brad helped us choose. We installed vinyl flooring in the bathrooms ourselves and Carpet to Go was able to provide the sheet vinyl at a very good price.

From the first moment we entered the showroom we were treated like family. Brad greeted us and we were asked a few questions so he could direct us in the proper direction for what we wanted. We were given plenty of time to look around their spacious showroom, and were never rushed or 'guided' towards any particular brand or color. Once we found a couple selections an appointment was made for. Brad to come measure. We were allowed to take samples with us so we could check them out with our newly painted walls. Brad was very prompt and arrived as scheduled. He did a great job of measuring as there was very little surplus once the carpet was installed. Pricing was fantastic as well and better than other places we had obtained pricing from, including Home Depot and Lowes. The installation crew did a great job as well. They were on time, worked well together and got the carpet laid quickly. They made sure there was not a mess and had me inspect everything to make sure it met my expectations. We have had it in now a couple months and love it. The color and quality are fantastic. I can't say enough about them. I have been and will continue to recommend them!

I was in a time crunch to get the carpet installed before my furniture arrived. The carpet we ordered was not in stock, and Carpet To Go worked diligently to expedite the order, and schedule the carpet layers. The installation was quality, and the installers were professional and neat. I was very impressed, and pleased that the installers didn't leave a single mark on the walls or foot boards since I had just painted the interior of my home.

I found Carpet to Go on Angie's List. I called them and explained that we were buying a house where a cat and dog lived and my little one has Asthma so I needed to replace all the carpet before we could move in. Brad was very helpful, found a date immediately on the schedule for him to come measure and said that as long as what I picked was in stock, they could come out that Monday and put down the new carpet. My husband and I went to the showroom ahead of time to pick out our carpet. Brad showed us a bunch and let me bring home a sample of the one I wanted to make sure I loved it. He came the next day to measure, brought a few other choices with him and made sure they were all hypoallergenic as he was keeping my daughter in mind. He asked what our budget was, he promised to come in within it and really did, even a bit below it. The guys showed up on time to install the carpet, they did a great job and I LOVE my new carpet, it looks beautiful and is so soft. I could not be happier and we absolutely use them again!!

First let me say that I?ve waited until a week after completion to review this project so that I?d be able to distance myself from the actual work and put things in their proper prospective. I also want to divide this review into two parts as this was both a tile and carpet project. First the carpet; Dom at Carpet to Go was very helpful in explaining the different types of carpet and narrowing down several for our particular needs and lifestyle. He ordered several samples of my choice, and they were quickly sent to my home. When we returned to the store with our choice, we were informed that it was no longer available in that color, but we could get the same color in an upgraded carpet for $1.00 more per yard. We went along. The installers arrived at the scheduled time, and were extremely courteous and efficient. They had quite a few very heavy and fragile pieces of furniture to move which they accomplished quickly and carefully. In all, removal of the old and new installation for 2 rooms, stairs, and upstairs foyer took only 5 hours and turned out beautiful. I would definitely recommend them and will probably use them again when we are ready to re-carpet the bedrooms. Carpet To Go should stick to carpets! After we chose our tile, we were asked to come in and choose grout color and reducer colors. The day before the job was to start Dominic called and said that he couldn?t get the reducer color we chose from any of his suppliers so he asked to stop by our house so we could choose another. He did, and we went with our second choice. The next day the tile crew arrived 2 hours later than expected and said (in broken English ? only one of the three crew members spoke any at all) they were delayed because they needed to pick up supplies. I told them that we have a dog that I would keep locked upstairs, but I would have to let him outside from time to time (both exits from the house were involved in this project) . They went to work taking up the old floors which, as expected, was noisy and very dusty. My refrigerator and stove were moved to the living room. After the removal they swept (not vacuumed) the area and began laying the new tile. At some point I tried to communicate that the dog needed to go outside but it was indicated that I could not walk on the tiles. I phoned Dominic and told him that we needed to have outside access by at least one door, especially overnight. It was then that I learned, contrary to what I had been told, that we would not be able to use the kitchen at all until the following day, but they would leave a one-tile width path to a door for us to use until the following day when they would come back to finish the tile and grouting. Shortly after that Dominic dropped off two boxes of grout??? At 6 p.m. we were asked how late they could stay and we went out and got dinner for them and us. They left at 8:15. The following morning they arrived late again, and after about an hour the only one that could speak English said he had to leave to go to Lowes or Home Depot to pick up the moldings. He was gone for 4 hours during which time the other two men put down tile, grouted, and sat on inverted pails in the driveway waiting for him to return and give further instructions. They ?completed? the job at 6 that evening. I was told that the following day I could damp mop to remove the haze that was on the tiles. They left us with 2 ½ boxes of unused tiles, an open box of grout, and two of their tools which we found outside. The appliances were put back in place, but the stove was left unbalanced so that every time you put something on it it rocked back and forth. The kitchen sink was left with filthy from the grout filled dirty water they dumped down it, and my powder room was an abomination of disgusting toilet, sink, and floor. Interior doors which had been removed and then replaced, and freshly painted walls had black handprints and scuffs all over them. Outside, my porch, walkway, and driveway were covered with glops and scuffs of grout. Worse, the grassy area next to the driveway where they cut the tiles was littered with pieces of tile and debris filling a whole grocery bag. The dog or a child could have easily been cut had it not been cleaned up by us. Dominic came out the next day to go over the items needing to be addressed and assured us that every construction job results in a ?punch list? which would be taken care of to our satisfaction the following week when my husband could be off work and present. That list was 13 items long and included replacing 2 damaged tiles, and re-grouting uneven seams. Additionally, we discussed the fact that ¼ round molding was used instead of what had been down previously. He told us that that was what they used instead of the toe molding we had, and the ¼ round was what was on our quote. This is true, and was an uneducated oversight on our part. We assumed we would be getting the same molding we had that matched the rest of the house, and it was never discussed. The ¼ round looks out of proportion with the other molding, and, in our opinion, detracts from the tile. We will have to live with that till we replace it ourselves. The afternoon before the ?punch? items were scheduled to be corrected, Dominic again phoned to say that they couldn?t make it and we would have to reschedule. The same crew that did the work originally arrived on the rescheduled date. However, they said they had to wait for Cisco to arrive ½ hr. later. We had been told all along that Cisco would be running our job but this was the first we ever saw him. He went over the items on the list and he and his crew spent several hours taking care of each item. In all, it took 12 days for the job to be finished when it was supposed to take 4. We did receive a credit for the unused boxes of tiles and the moving of the dishwasher which was never moved. In the end, this was not a professional job, and sadly we can?t recommend Carpet To Go to our friends, neighbors, or co-workers.

We are very sorry that [member name removed] had the experience she relays above. We strive to have all of our jobs go perfectly. We apparently did a very good job with the carpet for [member name removed] but we obviously fell short on the tile work. As you can see be our many reviews, we normally perform very well. When we do fall short, we do everything we can to make the customer happy. In this instance, we did go back and made sure that all of [member name removed] concerns were addressed. Again, we are sorry for any inconvenience that [member name removed] experienced. We have excellent tile and carpet installers and we always strive to do our best.

We already had a quote from another company that we were considering, when we decided to stop in at Carpet to Go in Mooresville. We found several carpet choices that we liked, and made arrangements for measurements to be done. The first measurement resulted in a quote that was considerably higher than we had expected, so C2G sent the expert installer, Jorge, to reevaluate the project, and he determined that we did not need as much carpet and that he could do the installation in a way that would avoid seams in some rooms. The price came down as a result, and we committed to do the project. On installation day, Jorge and two additional installers arrived and got to work. We had contracted for them to remove the old carpet, move the furniture, the whole thing, and it made it a long day for them, but the end product was everything we had hoped for. The carpet is soft, very attractive, and has great warranties against stain, wear, etc. We are very happy with our decision and will recommend C2G to our friends and neighbors.

I got a quote from Empire since it was heavily advertised on TV. I felt that Empire was using a bait and switch since they said that the special would be more expensive because it did not include everything. They pressed for an immediate commitment or the price would go up. I did not feel comfortable and went to Carpets to Go. They were easy to work with. They had the same brands and were a little over half the price that Empire had quoted. Their installation was excellent - came when they said and got the job quickly and effectively. Highly recommend.

Overall everything went good. I think they came out & did an excellent job putting in the flooring. I think there was a misunderstanding however about putting in shoe molding around the edge of the walls because they did not do that. For the amount of money I spent, I would've expected a follow-up call to make sure I'm happy or to see if there was anything that needed to be looked at & I didn't get that.

Fantastic experience. Dominic worked with me over a period of several weeks to allow me to pick out samples, take them home and test them, and then gave me quotes on different carpets and padding. He was very easy to work with and let me browse the store for a couple of hours in total. He showed up on the scheduled day and time to measure for my carpets and had my revised quote less than an hour later when I went in to the store to finalize installation. The installers showed up as planned, and my new carpet and padding were in place in less than an hour (I had not moved in to the home yet so there was no furniture to move). The installers were very courteous and professional, they scraped and vacuumed the subfloor after removal of old carpet, then vacuumed the new carpet and allowed me to inspect everything before they left. They cleaned up everything after themselves and the room was ready to go for the movers next day. I would highly recommend checking out Carpet To Go for your next carpet purchase.

Andy called after we had picked out several samples with prices. We made a decision and Andy called the company to see if the carpet was available. It was and they had it in the store by end of the week. They came out the following Monday and removed the old carpet and installed the new carpet. The guys stayed until 8pm moving the furniture back in place and making sure that I was pleased with everything. You can not tell where any of the seams are in the carpet. Everyone was very nice and professional from the start to finish. I would recommend Andy and the installers to anyone.

Excellent overall experience. Some initial difficulty getting exact quotes for the work we wanted done but got that sorted out over a fairly short period of time with the salesmen. However, we were given a discounted price on the carpet installation to compensate us for the delay in getting those quotes. Carpet installation went flawlessly and it looks great. Only took a few hours to do it, very pleased. They were supposed to do our kitchen tile install the same day but decided not to do it after we reminded them that we wanted the tile installed on a diagonal instead of square. It seems a different team does the more intricate tile installs. That added about a weeks delay to the job and then in the end we went with the square install after discussing pros and cons with the installers. Only real glitch came when they pulled up the old laminate and discovered they needed to add a layer of subfloor to the kitchen, that added a day and about $450 to the initial quote for the luan. If they had inspected a little closer when doing the intial estimate they might have discovered the need for the subfloor earlier. We left town and let the installers do the work and were very pleased when we returned to find the new tile floor done perfectly, looks great. Any job like this experiences glitches and unexpected problems but Carpet to Go was very responsive to our concerns and did a first rate job with the installation. We can definitely recommend them on price and quality.

The work crew arrived early morning as was decided. I went over with the workers what I was expecting and left them to perform their job. It was necessary for them to very diligently apply 3 coats of a cement to fill in the horrible grout, enabling to floor to be smooth once installed. The job took most of the day but when finished the floor looked and felt fantastic. I was so very happy with the floor!! Problem: I had chosen white molding and that looked horrible! It was my own fault but was very upset. It did nothing to enhance my beautiful new floor. Andrew came that night to check on my satisfaction and I told him how much I loved the floor but was very unhappy about the molding I had chosen. Andrew was wonderful. He said it could be fixed and he would take care of this. I gave him a drawer from my kitchen cabinent and within 2 days had matched the molding and set up for the problem to be fixed!! The 2 man crew came in and matched the molding making my new floor look FANTASTIC!! I can now walk on my floor in bare feet if I want to. It is so comfortable to walk on and so very easy to keep clean!! I cannot express how happy I am with my new kitchen floor. My neighbors are also loving it! Thank you so much Andrew and your team for another job well done!
Description of Work: I was desperate for new kitchen flooring. I had moved into my home with this heavy ceramic floor with deep thick grout lines. I had another company do flooring in my computer room and asked if they could do something with my kitchen floor. They said it would do too much damage removing old flooring and they could see no solution to my problem. This flooring was hard to walk on and caused foot pain. It was IMPOSSIBLE to clean!!!I was so happy with my master bath floor that was installed by Carpet to Go I again went to Andrew Pacer for help! Andrew came over measured and started suggesting flooring. I knew what I had in mind and within 1 week I had picked out my new floor!!! I had picked out molding and we were ready to begin.

I was given a day, and time. They were prompt. The installers were polite, friendly and very professional! There were 3 men and they worked as a team. The quality of the flooring is amazing. They cleaned all areas before leaving. My floor is absolutely beautiful and as my husband exclaimed when he got home,"It makes it look like a different room" I am truly very happy with the entire experience from beginning to end! Andy Pacer, and entire team, job well done!! We are now talking about an even more disaster flooring, my kitchen. I am definitly trusting this job to Carpet to Go!!! Thank you for proving my trust in you well deserved.
Description of Work: My Master Bath floor was a disaster!! I called Andy Pacer and requested new flooring, and told him I was desperate!! Andy came to the house with different choices of flooring. We discussed what would be best and easiest to care for. He left me with my thoughts and returned as soon as I had decided on my wants. He came and measured the floor. He agreed with my choice and promised me I would love it. The following day he gave me an estimate. We agreed on the price. I was able to read and print forms for signing. Later in the day he called and asked me if he could remeasure, and explained he could get the cost a little lower. He came that eveing measured and called me the next day with the results! He had SUCEEDED. We decided on date and time and I awaited my new flooring!
MY EXPERIENCE WAS WONDERFUL, FROM WORKING WITH THE SALES MANAGER AL STRANIERO TO THE COMPLETION OF THE JOB. THIS IS A COMPANY THAT REALLY TRIES TO LIVE UP TO THEIR MISSION STATEMENT. SUCH INTEGRITY IS REFRESHING.
Description of Work: HAD LIVING ROOM, DINING ROOM, AND THREE BEDROOMS CARPETED. CERAMIC TILE WAS PUT IN 2 BATHROOMS AND THE HALL, AND FOYER RECEIVED HARDWOOD.
