Carolina Home Remodeling

I asked the salesman in BJ's about gutters. He referred me to Carolina Home Remodeling. We reached an agreement. The workman called to let us know he was coming. He asked really good questions to be certain we would be satisfied. The work was exceptionally completed. Cleanup was perfect.

Very nice people. The product did not match the quality of sample that was shown to me during sales pitch. I only bought because I wanted something easy to clean. It took 15 YEARS for my old shower to stain. I have been using the recommended cleaning products and no-scratch and its already staining after 2 months. I was told its non-porous and easy to clean. The shower bar is hung low and no commercially available shower curtain will accommodate it. Overall, I threw away my money ($7500) and I will be replacing it with my flooring budget and having my bathroom redone.

They charged us a lot for their services but it was probably not worth it. We went with them because the sales person was really good and I was a rookie. Everything was good but we don't think it was worth the price we paid. They were really good at selling and we liked the guy that came to sell. Our overall experience with them was very good but they were just very expensive. The quality of work was excellent.

Sales rep comes out to home and provides you with full computerized and example windows. Quotes a high price and then the negotiation begins. He calls owner to see if the new terms can be done. But still high price. The sales rep states that he will return when the job is being done to make sure customer is happy. He never showed or called. The people doing the install are contracted by the company, but they work only for them and are very experienced in doing windows. However, they lack professionalism and I would not hire them myself as they looked like drug addicts. I was worried that they were scoping out the house as they were installing the windows. I don't know how this would compare to another company. The windows seem to be good and the install seems to be good. However, since then, I have found out that the pricing was probably triple of what it should have been. I think next time I may try Window World.

I heard about this company from their saleslady at BJ's Club. I agreed to a free estimate. The salesman was nice and professional, but I must have misunderstood, as I thought the new shower surround was to be solid surface material. I purchased the shower refit. I paid 1/3 of the cost then. They demo'ed the old fiberglass tub and surround, then measured for the liners and base. when the materials were delivered, I saw that the liner panles were thin acrylic instead of solid surface. They charged another 1/3 at this point. I talked with the boss at CHR about my disappointment in the materials and he assured me that I would be satisfied with the end result. At that point I asked to be let out of the agreement, but since I had paid 2/3 of the costs by then and they would not give any money back, I could only go ahead with the work. The installer did a very good job and the end result is very nice. My only problem is that I felt and still feel that the cost was excessive for the materials used. My advice is be sure what you are getting and don't get sucked in by the sales pitch; in other words shop around and be really sure before signing.

. I did contact CAROLINA HOME REMODELING, they came out and gave au a quote. That would have been in January. The quote was 1200 $ for building a deck and a porch. They were prompt to return my call and schedule an appointment to came out and to give us a quote. we didn't chose to go to that level of construction right now.

They did an excellent job. They made my shower safe for me. I would use them again.

I scheduled the date for the estimate, a date which was convenient for ME. They came outto the house and showed us the window sample and pricing. They did a rough measurement for the windows and explained how they would install replacement windows in place of wood windows.Next, the actual installers came out and did specific measurements and ordered the windows.We had a date for installation, but had a burglary. The burglars threw a a patio stone through the windows so we were anxious to get the replacement windows as soon as possible.They moved upthe install date and did a wonderful job. They got the job done quickly and professionally, and cleaned up everything from the job. We love the new windows!

They were professional and I liked them. They didn't finance and I needed someone who would finance. They are the only ones I went with for this type of quote: I guess their price was good.

They did a great job with the windows but a terrible job with the door. They put on the wrong door and they didn't put it on right. I probably won't use them again because of that. I also paid too much.

From the time we requested to talk to someone in BJ's to the actual installation of the product, it was a very friendly and comfortable experience. Our rep Sam spent a good amount of time giving us a demonstration of the product, which both my wife and I were very impressed with the high quality of the materials they used. Everything from the rolling screens, which we never even knew existed but now couldn't imagine any other way, to the fit and finish that looks so nice and blends perfectly with the house! Throughout the process, even the General Manager Tracy took time with us to work through the Finance portion to ensure we were taken care of and got what we wanted. Once the decision on deminsions was finalized, Carolina Home Remodeling took care of all the financing research, and secured a very good rate and terms for this project, getting creative to ensure our financial requirements that were spoke about from the beginning were met as closely as possible. Once the financing was secured, Carolina Home Remodeling set their teams in motion, and throughout the whole installation, our family was never disturbed, and they took care to leave everything clean the way they found it. start to finish everything was installed very professionally, with even the foundation that was poured getting great comments from the workers that came after. It was very apparent that they only use quality contractors who take pride in their work. We were about to have a baby within days of project completion, and Carolina Home Remodeling was so accommodating that they sent someone to the hospital so that we could sign the final paperwork. Sheri project managed everything, and ensured we met all the deadlines. We would definitely recommend them to anyone, and we absolutely love the sunroom. The roll-up screens and sliding windows brought the room to a new level, allowing us to be completely open air, or screened in with just a quick rolling up or down of the screens. Great job, and we are very pleased.

We decided not to go with them because it was too expensive at this time. The product provides little flexibility.

The process went exactly as planned. We met with the rep, Ben Shoemaker, who explained the product in detail, gave a demonstration of how it works, its composition and development. He assessed the attic for existing insulation and proper ventilation in the eaves and in the peaks/ridgevents, then using the total square footage determined the price. We had already researched Angie's regarding the company and the product, which is well-documented. We agreed to proceed, allowing us time to clear stored goods out of the attic, then setting a 2-day period for installation. Financing was arranged, 0% if paid off within one year. Ben was very knowledgable and able to answer all questions and concerns. He was punctual, courteous and professional, and confident but not aggressive. The two installers arrived with materials on the given date and on time. They had uniforms and name badges and were very courteous and respectful. They moved their materials and tools through the house carefully and worked throughout the day with no problems. They had to return the following day to finish the job and again were timely. They removed all scraps of materials left over and cleaned up insulation that had fallen through. During the process Ben and other supervisors/inspectors checked in with us both days and made a final inspection at the end. Within a few days a company rep made a visit to assess our opinion of the job and gave us the opportunity to voice any concerns or suggestions. We rated the company highly overall and had no complaints, only compliments as to their professionalism, timeliness, neat work, pride in their job, and clean up.

I am very satisfied with the siding and the installation. The siding is amazing and looks wonderful. I get excited to come home and see the different color of my house and how professional it looks. I would definetly reccomend this company to anyone needing new siding on their home.

Excellent job from everyone that was involved in the entire process. We are very happy.

We had windows installed 6 years ago by CHR so we did not even hesitate to use them to redo the bathrooms. They were very courteous and cleaned up after themselves every night before going home. When they ran into a few unexpected problems, they explained what they needed to do and kept telling me not to worry. It was very stressful to me to have two bathrooms being done in the house, but they just kept telling me to keep smiling that everything will be perfect when they were done. They worked very hard and were very understanding with our special needs son. Every time one of them would walk past our son, my son would say hello to them and ask what they were doing (which could be get annoying after being in the house for 5 days working on the bathrooms and walking past him about 20 times a day), and each time, they would make sure they said something back to him. When the bathrooms were completed, they made sure we were happy with every last detail. They held true to their promise that everything would be perfect in the end.

The whole job from the salesman, the installers and to the lady with the follow up call was great. This was the case for both home improvement jobs - the gutter/sheild job and the e-sheild job.

The initial estimate and consultation was longer than we anticipated but there was a good bit of discussion, lots of questions from us, and measuring of the space. This was mainly my husband's area of dealing with the company. The installation supervision was mine. There was some initial confusion about a few details but it was immediately resolved to our satisfaction. The salesman even came back to our home during the install to make sure we were happy and all was going as planned. Both install teams were very pleasant and it was comfortable for me to have them in my home with our children as I am a SAHM. They were very prompt and courteous. WE HAVE NOTICED A DROP IN OUR POWER USAGE ALREADY! We feel that a portion of this could possibly be contributed to temperatures at the same time last year but we are able to feel a definite difference in the comfort level of our upstairs. We have a storage closet (similar to an attic) in our upstairs hallway. This storage closet had additional insulation installed in addition to our attic. When we were putting our items back into this closet the door remained open and the temperature actually leveled off and was quickly equal to that of the hallway. This has NEVER happened before! Overall we are pleased and look forward to the additional savings in our power bill that we are anticipating!!

Carolina Home Remodeling installed a water management system, to keep water where it should be - away from my house! I learned a lot from their salesman to installation. They did a superb job! They are very professional and very personable! They did a much more superior job than a big home improvement store, that actually held water against my house! Carolina Home Remodeling installed a superior product! I now don't have to worry when it rains here in Charlotte! There's a lot to know about service, and they came shining through! Thank You!

I made an appointment for a salesman to come to my home with a lady in BJ's. I thought they were doing bathroom renovations and wasn't interested at first. The lady showed me the actual product and how it could cut down on overheating with just a layer of eshield covering the floor of my attic. I was surprised at the cost, but the salesman was able to get me a discount for ordering the same day as he gave the demonstration. The guys arrived on time and finished much sooner than I thought, less than a day! They didn't leave any debris. I couldn't even tell they had been up there except for the eshield product on top of everything. They covered the whole floor, including large beams in the center of my home. My sales rep came back out and checked their work and I couldn't be happier. I am looking forward to realizing my energy savings.

The job went well. When they first started erecting the walls we noticed that the walls had aluminum panels below and above the sliding windows. We had ordered these sections to also be glass. We told them our concern, they confirmed we were correct, and immediately worked with the factory to get it corrected. This was a quick turn around and we got what we paid for. They basically completed the job in a timely manner with the only delay being the initial error. The permitting with the city took a little longer than planned, but it was done reasonably quick. They were very careful with the our property surrounding the sunroom, kept the work area clean, and cleaned up each day before leaving. It all, we were very happy with there work.

The estimator was very professional and prompt; we did have to reschedule once, but the return visit was great. We received all the information we needed that night and scheduled our installation. We received several calls from the company to confirm all appointments and whatever information was needed from us. We also received several followup calls after the installation to ensure that the job had gone well. We were very, very pleased with the service. The installation took a few hours and the installer was very professional. We are looking forward to having many years with our new door and the savings from our energy bills as well.

I was extremely impressed at how punctual and knowledgeable everyone was, from the representative that came out to give me the initial estimate, to the workers that came and installed the product. The office kept in touch with throughout the installation process letting me know where they were with each step of the project. The price seemed a bit high but I was assured by my sales rep that I would save a substantial amount on my energy bills. I was hesitant at first and that's why I waited to write this review because I wanted to see if I really did save money on my heating and air bills. I am happy to report that my electric bill has gone down by about 1/3 and I can tell that my central air isn't running as much. We are very happy with our purchase and experience with this company. We are currently budgeting to get a new entry door installed by Carolina Home Remodeling to save even more money on our energy costs.

We signed up for a consultation at BJ's. The representative that came out was completely unprofessional. We were told the appointment would be 45 minutes. He was at our house for over 2 1/2 hours. We scheduled for after work, but with enough time before the kids' bedtime. The kids were acting up as they had to go to bed. The consultant didn't get it that he'd been there much too long and it was time to leave. We told him a number of times we were not interested, politely and respectfully. He had a hard time accepting the answer and kept persisting. He had a very pushy sales approach and was not skilled at reading an audience. His appointment went much longer than needed. He was wordy and repeated himself, essentially just not a good salesperson. The estimate was $8000. We calculated the benefits in terms of the heat savings and it would take a number of years to re-coup. For our situation, it was not cost effective because we move often due to job relocations.

We had a great experience with this company. From the time of the estimate until completion they were very professional, courteous and timely. They made courtesy calls before arriving and were on time. They gave a great demonstration during the estimate of why their product is superior and we believe they are right. They also provide a lifetime warranty on this product that is transferrable upon sale of the home. They are also members of the BBB and appear to have a great reputation. They offer many other services and when we are ready, we will be calling them again!
