I chose A-1 after reading all the positive reviews about Mohammed on Angie's List. He lived up to the praise.He responded to my email immediately and brought by samples the next day. I visited his store on South Blvd.the following day and awarded him the job. In fewer than ten days I had new carpeting and beautiful new hardwood flooring in my living room. As with any big job, there were a few bumps along the way, but Mohammed responded every time to make sure the job was done to my satisfaction. I am very pleased with the outcome, and, I must say, it was a pleasure to work with someone who cares so much about his reputation.

Carolina Carpet One was contracted by my insurance agency after I suffered some water damage in my home. The result of which required new carpets throughout my house. Carolina Carpet One was very professional, did a great job of installing, and came back to finish the next day when they had forgotten to carpet one of our closets. Overall very pleased with the experience, the staff, and the work crew. Would certainly use them again, either through an insurance claim, or on my own.

Daniel showed up the same day I called to look at the job and provide an estimate. I was nervous b/c I had had someone else in previously that said I would have to order new carpet (which wouldn't match) and that I didn't have enough to patch it and expressed that if I did patch it he would have carpet running the wrong way and you would see all the seams. Daniel was very willing to work with me. He measured about 5 times, and we worked out that if needed he could take some carpet from a closet and patch the closet. I was relieved after meeting with him. He gave me a tentative day/time to schedule that worked with my schedule and then called back that evening to confirm. Hugo showed up to do the work on time with a helper. He looked at the area and said he might have enough and shouldn't have to cut the closet carpet. He stretched the hallway carpet to cover the door's threshold and repaired and installed all carpet. It looks fabulous!! You can not even tell that it was not preexisting. You can not see the seams. Alleluia! Hugo also vacuumed everything up and moved furniture back to where it needed to be. We were very pleased!

Excellent service from start to finish! Met with the owner of the company to discuss repair options. We were working on a huge remodel of a 1958 ranch in which walls from 4 rooms were removed to make a single open space. Previously, the flooring in those areas was hardwood and vinyl. They were able to replace the vinyl with new wood flooring that matched the sizing of the old floor planks and added entire new areas of wood where the walls previously stood. We were able to see stain colors on the floor prior to the complete job to make a selection, which helped our comfort level tremendously! They answered our questions both before and after installation in a prompt manner. We were very very happy with the color, finish, and repair work. You could not see where the new wood was versus the original wood! We also had new carpet installed in a large area and staircase. Nice job. Discussed options about how to transition from hardwood to carpet and worked out a great solution. Owner stopped by to verify we were happy afterwards. What great customer service! If only all companies were run this way!

It was a pretty hefty cost. They were a little more expensive than other places we were looking at but we chose them because they had what we were looking for. We had to call them back for a couple of minor things, but the store manager came out himself to look at it.

It was pretty painless. They were very responsive and had good follow through.

He did a great job. Actually, it was hard to find somebody that does carpet stretching. He had had experience laying carpets and doing all that before he got into the cleaning business. I would rate him highly and would use him again in the future if necessary.

We decided to replace our existing carpets in the house after 14 years so looked on Angies List for likely providers. We went to 3 places to examine the carpet displays and also asked for estimates. We liked the people at Carolina Carpet One for their promptness and overall efficiency plus their display of "high quality" carpeting. They gave us 3 estimates for 3 different levels of carpeting which we found most useful. They were not the cheapest estimate but overall we thought their pricing was not unreasonable.

We got the best quote on the kitchen floor from them. My husband was impressed with the professionalism, the speed in which the quote was delivered and their knowledge. He felt very comfortable and confident in this guy's ability. Also, they had positive feedback on Angie's List. We are going to use them to do the floors.

It went fine as far as the estimate and the follow up. The guys who installed the floor had to change from nailing to glue. It ended up costing more for the glue, but they ate that cost. When a problem came up, they took care of it in a professional manner. The guys worked really late when they had a problem with the installation. Carpet One coordinated it. I would use them again.

The experience was first rate. I met with the owner, David Stophel, to select carpet that would be used. He explained the difference between the different brands and grades and gave me a real education on carpet. Because I was having this work done to an investment property, I had received quotes from competitors for a low grade carpet. They had me convinced that a cheap carpet and a heavy carpet pad was the way to go. David ended up selling me a mid-grade carpet with heavy carpet padding at the same price! It has been 6 months since they installed the carpet and it still has that "new car smell!" After meeting with David and choosing my carpet, I was contacted by his project manager - Daniel Ray - who coordinated the installation. Daniel was an expert communicator who managed the project perfectly. Since I was having multiple projects performed on the home, it was difficult to coordinate the carpet. Daniel worked with my schedule and finished the carpet a few hours before an open house. They really saved the day! Preferred Carpet One also refinished hardwood floors in the same home. I did not think they could be salvaged, but Daniel assured me that after replacing some of the stained and damaged flooring, they would turn out beautiful. The home was built in 1910 and the living room had original heart of pine flooring. The dining room was done some time in the 1950's with oak. I was concerned that the two different sizes and materials would not complement one another, but after spending some time with Daniel and the installers, we figured out the best way to stain the oak and leave the pine natural so the transition was aesthetically pleasing. Daniel and his crew really knew what they were doing. Not only did I save thousands by installing laminate, but I maintained the original look in a Historic home. Kudos to Preferred Carpet One. They will be doing all of my flooring from this day forward.
