Carolina Carpet One Floor & Home

I originally purchased pre-finished wood flooring but decided not to install it because it was too different from the existing site-finished wood flooring installed throughout the rest of the first floor. Even though it had been delivered to my home, they picked up the flooring and readily refunded all but their restocking fee. I was extremely impressed and pleased with every aspect of the service. I highly recommend Carolina Carpet One for their competitive pricing, excellent customer service, wide selection of flooring, and superb workmanship. I have no complaints at all!

Went to Décor Carpet One. Got a slightly better price and had a great product (same one selected at Carolina Carpet One) installed professionally. Guess the other carpet one store had more business than they could handle.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a contractor. The contractor no showed twice, showed up 2 hours early the other time after telling them to not show up until a certain time, and left my door to my garage wide open. They broke my sink and never apologized. Also, they have grout smeared across my brand new tile floors. Sloppy job! I'm not sure of the exact cost, but I would have rather gone with someone else and paid more than to deal with all of that.

The itemized quote helped us to make a quick decision, they scheduled the installation very quickly and had the new flooring in within a week. The installers stayed late to finish up instead of coming back another day.

We were shopping for replacement carpeting for our stairs. The store was listed as open but no one was there to assist us. The lights were off but the door was unlocked. It was not confidence inspiring. After waiting 10 minutes, we left and shopped elsewhere.

The service was good. Depending on the day, they had from one to five people in the house. It took them about seven days to complete job, that included time for drying. They did a good job cleaning up. I would say they did a good job, they had capable hard working people.

Very good job of laying ceramic tile on floor that was too rough for vinyl.

Daniel Ray at Carolina Carpet One is the definition of top shelf professionalism and customer service. For this project, he helped us determine the most suitable product to use for our space. We had very specific scheduling requests and Daniel made sure that his crews were able to stick to that. We are very pleased with the quality of the work and the product, but more importantly we can't say enough good things about Daniel.

Met with salesman in the store approximately 2 weeks before installation. Reviewed options for replacing carpeting in a home that was going to be put on the market, including carpet style, fiber, pad and price point.. Set up an appointment to meet salesman at the house with relevant carpet samples. Salesman measured room sizes while I made color and style selection that day. I then returned to the store to place order and put !/2 of the carpet and installation price down with a credit card. Carpet was shipped within one week and appointment made to install carpet as soon as it came in. The only glitch was that the carpet was supposed to have arrived within 2-3 days, but it was delayed due to mis-communication with trucking company. Carpet installation was prompt and excellent. No damage to walls or baseboards noted. All old carpeting and pad were removed. It would have been nice if installers had a small upright vacuum to pick up carpet pile pieces that inevitably will be created when carpet replacement work is done. I don't know if other carpet companies do this or not. Despite this one minor issue, I am thoroughly happy with their product and performance. Their current location on South Blvd. is difficult to find. I would recommend calling company first to get directions before going to their storefront for the first time.

They were excellent the installation was super. Worked with two subs for different flooring they were polite, professional. The salesman was patient, polite, and answered questions quickly.

Everything with Carolina Carpet One went well. They had a wide selection to choose from and their customer service was good. There were no issues they did a good job. Anything that I noted that I wanted they were very responsive. The prices was fair and the quality was good. They were on time.

At the end of the summer, my family picked out carpet pattern and color and scheduled a measurement for final quote and ordering. The sales person was great - came out to our house on time and prepared his quote quickly. So far - all great! When I returned 90 days later to pay for the carpet and schedule installation, I was told my house would have to be measured again because the salesperson I met with earlier was terrible, no longer worked with them, and they couldn't stand behind any of the work he had done. They wanted to schedule ANOTHER measurement (houses don't grow, do they?) and saw no reason why I should think this was an inconvenience - i.e., absolutely no compensation for my time (another measurement would mean missing another two hours of work). I was also VERY turned off that they would disparage a previous employee. It was not at all professional and it gave me great pause that they wouldn't stand behind their work.

Went great - furniture and newly painted walls were treated with great care.

The BEST!!!!!!!!!!! As long as I am in this area, These people will the ONLY people to work on or replace carpetting in our home! We are very fussy people and absolutely nothing to complain about. You will NOT regret using Carolina Carpet One! John J. Martin

They were great. Everything went fine. They came out and gave a good estimate. They did exactly what they said they were going to do in the time frame they said they were going to do it. They were honest with their estimates and did good work.

I was not here when the installation was done but my husband was and he was very impressed that they took the time to sweep up prior to installing the new carpeting. I am very happy with the way it looks and feels.

The crew was outstanding, everyone arrived during the timeframe I had been told. They were very courteous and friendly. The first day they had to rip out the carpet and level some of the floor which had to dry overnight. I had been told they may have to do that so it was not a surprise. After that it took 2 days to complete the rest of the work. Everything was done in a very professional manner and it looked beautiful. I would highly recommend them, they were honest, did exactly what they said they would do and were very accommodating in every way.

I picked out this store based on other's reviews. I went to their store, discussed my needs, looked at some samples, and set up an appointment to have the rooms measured so they could provide a quote. Samples were brought to the house, a select made, and a quote provided within hours. They kept me posted on the anticipated delivery date in order to allow me to arrange to have my furniture delivered. Tile in front of the fireplace was done by one crew and the carpet by another. Both crews were professional. The crews did their job in a timely manner and were friendly although focused on their job. I cannot verify that they are the lowest price as I did not shop around. However, based on prior experience, I believe the price was at least competitive and they have a good selection of price point products. I am assuming that there may need to be some re-stretching later and that was not discussed. However, I believe this will not be an issue should it be required. Although the crew took until about 7:00 PM to complete their work, I believe them to have been diligent. I am very satisfied.

I needed to replace carpet in my rental property. From start to finish Daniel at Carolina Carpet One was very helpful. They were very flexible in setting up times for measuring the dimensions of my property and picking out carpet samples. Daniel went the extra mile in trying to locate the style of carpet I wanted at a better price. The installers arrived on time and did a great job moving furniture around (and then back into place). Overall this was a great experience and I would highly recommend this company.

We got two bids for the install of our hardwoods in our carpeted living room. It included removing the existing carpet on the floor and two steps leading upstairs and the installation and finishing of oak hardood on the floor and two steps. Carolina Carpet's price was slightly higher but we chose them because of the current Angies List reviews. Their estimate included a very high price for furniture moving so we declined that option and did it ourselves (saving $500, very steep). Estimate and schedule of work was very detailed and accurate. Hardwoods delivered and stacked on a Friday to "season" in our house's humidity for three days prior to install, helps minimize buckling of the wood. Installed and sanded on a Monday. Stain sample chosen and applied on Tuesday (stain matches very closely our existing oak floors, very happy with the selection) Sanding dust is a nuisance but they did is well as can be expected in minimizing the impact. First coat of oil based poly applied Wed, screened and second coat applied Thurs, and final coat applied Friday. Smell is very strong, we closed off the house, shut off A/C, and vented the room with exhaust fan out window. Best choice is leave home on vacation during this process ( I stayed home to work, family went away). Could walk on floor saturday afternoon, moved furniture back in Wednesday after floor had a chance to fully cure. The wood looks great, very happy with the finished result. The only glitches we had came when they removed the carpet and found the floor joists running differently compared to the other rooms with hardwoods. This required the boards to be installed perpendicular to the existing floors. I was worried how that would look but in all honesty it looks just fine. I just would have preferred knowing that before starting the job. They could have determined it during the estimate process by pulling back some carpet or crawling into the crawlspace and looking at the joists. The other slight problem was a delay on Friday( said final coat would be done at noon, they didn't do it until 5pm, a phone call would have been nice) for the last coat because they were late installing the molding. That just put us off schedule a little but was manageable. Finally, they did not tack cloth the floor after screening the floor on thurs prior to the second coat as I have seen recommended by other installers, but it did not seem to make a difference in the quality of the finish. Overall, we are very happy with the installation and the way the process was managed by Carolina Carpet One. We can definitely recommend them.

Carolina Carpet One sent three people to install our carpet. The workers sent by Carolina Carpet One to install our carpet did not take care to protect our baseboards from their hammer strikes and there are many places where they marred, scarred, and in one place split the baseboard in two. There was no care nor consideration given to the installation. Moreover, the carpet they placed in our basement is uneven, is buckled, and doesn't look like professional work. Carpet seams are crappy. In addition, the language barrier between us and the carpet installers was hard to ignore. At the end of the day, Carolina Carpet One carpet installers tracked mud onto our newly installed carpet. They also failed to leave us our carpet remnants - even after we called multiple times in an effort to collect it. We will NEVER, EVER use Carolina Carpet One again.
