The service went well overall. They were punctual. I’ve dealt with them before, and they’ve delivered good service. They aren’t the least expensive nor most expensive, but since I’ve done business with them in the past, I know that I can trust what they’re saying, so they’re probably more reasonable than other garage door companies.

The service was great! They were able to come out the same day that I called, since I wasn’t able to secure the door. They fixed the door, lubed it, and now it works great!

The service was wonderful. It was easy to set up the appointment; they were able to give me a time that worked best with my schedule. The gentleman called about half an hour beforehand and arrived at my home on time. He was straight-forward, informative, and overall had a very pleasant demeanor!

When the technician was initially looking over the door, he told me what he thought it might be and why. He turned out to be right and then showed me what he found and explained everything. He was honest, forthcoming, and treated me with respect.

To meet requirement of inspection report on sale of home, the metal panel connecting the top panel to the motorized pull need to be repaired or replaced. Called Overhead Door after another company gave high estimate and said they would have to work with Overhead Door to obtain the necessary repair part. Got better estimate working with Overhead Door folks directly...repair rather than replace. Scheduled time, arrived on time, performed work, made proper adjustments. All now ok.

From the start, when I thought we would need a whole new door, to the finish when the tech said "let me try something", it was a great experience.

i purchased their high end insulated garage doors to replace the builders grade garage doors. They are definitely worth the cost as they help insulate and protect the garage better. They were punctual and took the old garage doors down and installed the new ones with all new rollers, tracks, etc within 3-4 hours. Very professional and clean. Did not leave a big mess behind. One of the panels had very small dent that I did not even notice but they pointed that out to me and replaced the entire new panel within 2 weeks. Amir door company proclaims their doors do not have imperfections but this panel did and overhead garage door company took care of the problem with absolutely no hassles!!! I actually would never have even noticed the dent as it was in the actual fold of the door. Would absolutely use this company again!

They gave me an estimate over the phone, and it was the best estimate I received. They were very punctual. The work they did was excellent. I'm really satisfied with the product.

Overhead Door was willing to work us in a tight schedule inorder for us to have use of our garage door. The technician showed up at the scheduled time, was very proffesional, cleaned up after himself and was finished in 30 minutes. He oiled the new springs, the door hinges and wheels even though he didn't have to. It was neat and simple which I appreciate.

I was very pleased with the service. They did more than they should have. They were very efficient and professional.

Everyone was very helpfull despite the many varieties of door openers they sell we managed to get it up and running.

We heard a loud noise when we closed our garage door. I noticed that the torsion spring had broken. I checked Angie's List and decided to call Overhead Door Company of Charlotte. I placed the call and they directed me to Residential Service. I explained the situation and they asked if our car was still inside the garage and I said yes (e.g. we were unable to get the door open to get our car out). They asked if the door had one spring and I said yes. They indicated that the cost to replace the spring would be $192.05 (total parts and labor). They asked if someone was going to be home and said that they would dispatch a service truck that same afternoon. The doorbell rang approximately one hour later and it was the service man. He was very personable and professional. We looked at the door together and he confirmed that the spring needed to be replaced. He replaced the spring, tested the door several times, made a minor adjustment and was finished in about an hour. I wrote him a check, he completed the paperwork and everything was back to normal. It could not have been any easier or fixed any faster.

They are always very professional when they come. We have done business with them because they are quick and when you call them they come out and give you a quote. If they have the material that you need, they will do the repair right then and there. They told me on the phone that it may not be not be done right there because the spring might have to be made at the shop, and they explained that on the phone first. I was very surprised and happy that they had my spring on their truck. He explained how to keep things in working order. Even when we had our door first put in we needed an adjustment on it, and they came out and didn't charge us for anything. Our door has been in great working order and we have had no problems with this company.

Tim was the BEST of the three people that our builder had come out to take care of the problems. He knew right away what needed to be done, explained everything, did the work promptly and we feel like they are functioning better than they have been. He was in line with what others said about the doors. The first 2 guys didn't see the main issue on the one door. We would only use Tim to do any kind of work on the doors.

We replaced a 30 year old wooden garage door with an insulated steel door with windows. The service was great from start to finish. Debbie Plott came to measure for the new door and give me a price quote. She was right on time and very professional. When I found out the door I was initially interested in didn't qualify for the government energy star tax credit, she did some research and found a door for me that did. She returned several of my calls very promptly and answered all my questions. Billy, the installer, arrived right on time and worked quickly to get the job done. When I looked out at one point and found the windows were in installed too high, he had no problem at all in taking them down and repositioning them just where I wanted them. The next day, I got a call from the company to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction, and thanking me for my business. This is the way every company should operate! I would highly recommend them.

Very professional, I liked that they provide a written quote. I checked their web site later and noticed a special which include a free piece of equipment and I am waiting to hear back from a call about the special. Their price seemed a bit high when I was comparing, but once you read the small print their price actually works out to be about the same and you can deal with installers who do this all day everyday and know what they are doing.

The price seemed competitive, and the product was good. They even sent a repairman over to fix our old door until the new came in. I would use them again in the future and would recommend them to others.

Installer arrived about 20 minutes later than expected, but got right to work. He worked efficiently and competently. I had to leave for work, so I gave him a check for the total and left him to finish. My husband is very particular about installations and was entirely satisfied with the product and the workmanship.

I called to ask for repair on spring bracket and a glass window pane that was broken out. I told the exact measurements of the pane when requesting the service. The service call was scheduled for "any time" during the day. The bracket was fixed well but the serviceman had no record of the window request or measurements. So he measured it to be exactly what I had said. They would have to special order the window and call me back when ready. After a month, I called them -- oh yeah, don't have it yet. After two months my father-in-law had a piece of glass cut at the local hardware store ad installed it. Do not hire this company to fix glass.

They did a good job. Very professional and had us back in operation quickly. I would use them again. The equipment was a little more expensive than something you might get at a home improvement store but the motor was a 2 speed versus one and the work isn't subcontracted out on the installation.

They are very professional. They promptly replied to my inquiry. They explained all of our options. I agreed to a contract and they carried it out promptly and efficiently.

During the installation process, they ended up damaging one of the panels on the garage door. It took them about six months to finally come and replace it. I felt the installation went ok, but the responsiveness to come and repair the problem was very difficult. The service was horrible for them to come and fix the problem.

This was a very professional experience. This is a customer driven company. They have excellent workmanship and follow-up. After installation, I had to request a service call within the guaranteed period and they handled it with courtesy and promptness.
