On 12/10/2014 my garage slammed to the ground after a part (unknown to me) broke. I searched Angie's List for numerous repair companies and settled on another company. On 12/11/2014 I called the other company early in the morning, leaving a message. After waiting 4hrs and not getting a return call I searched Angie's List again. I reviewed other company information and settled on Overhead Door Co of Charlotte because they don't use subcontracters and perform background checks/drug tests on their employees. Their website was easy to navigate as well (I felt like all of my questions about the company were answered on the DoorWow site). I called to set a service appointment and the gentleman on the telephone was polite, even suggesting possible problems with the door. He told me that between 3 and 5 PM that afternoon, I would get a call with my appointment time for the next door. I was even able to request an afternoon appointment so I didn't have to rearrange my entire day. The appointment confirmation call came about 4:15 (between the set times). This gentleman was very polite as well, and gave me the afternoon appointment I requested. The appointment window was set for 12 to 4 PM. On 12/12/14 Jesse called about 15 minutes before he arrived to let me know he was on the way (about 2:15PM). He arrived promptly in an offically marked van. He was in a uniform that matched the van logo and his name was visible on his uniform. He looked put together and professional. He was very polite. He explained the initial service fee before starting any reviews. He reviewed the door, opener and the problems I described. Prior to making any repairs he explained each repair, showed me needed repair, showed me the new peice and told me the price of that repair. At no time did I feel any pressure to make the suggested the repair and I didn't experience any attempts to 'upsale' me on anything. Jesse worked consistently for about an hour and didn't waste any extra time. After he finished the repairs he reviewed with me all the work he completed. He reviewed the serivce order/receipt with me at the time of payment. He cleaned up, leaving no trace of the repairs on the garage floor. He got my garage door working again and repaired broken parts to prevent future failures. I had read that Overhead Door was a little on the pricey side. I don't have any experience with these repairs before, but believe that I got exactly what I paid for. I have learned that cheaper isn't always better. This was a painless experience and I know that I'll use the Overhead Door Co of Charlotte for any future garage door work I need.

The technician performed a routine maintenance service on my garage door. He explained the work that he was going to do and did it. When he was finished he went over what he did and let me know the condition of my garage door. Then he gave me some tips to keep it in good shape myself.

They got my old garage door to work. It was very fairly priced. They responded quickly. I was very pleased. I was interested in getting a new door, but there was no pressure and was able to fix what was needed very quickly to make my garage door function.

No problems. Showed up on day we called which is a good thing since cars were stuck in garage.

The only hitch was that their online service request didn't seem to work. Once we called, the responsiveness was great.

Had another company come out ...thought it was Overhead but it was Garage Door Service. They wanted about $800.00 to fix the problem which including a brand new motor. When I realized it was a different company and not the one I have called in the past, I refused to do the work and called Overhead. They came out a day later, fixed the problem with a $28.00 part! Fantastic company and Ricky was very professional. He checked both garage doors while he was here. Highly recommend them!

Quick installation.Very professional. We are pleased with the results. The garage door openers are very quiet and all the features work perfectly.

The only problem I had was that they did not receive the email that I sent over Angie's List. Everything else was fine once I called. They were able to get someone over the next morning and Tim did a great job. Very satisfied with the service and we will use them again!

The technician that came did a great job and explained what he was doing. He informed me of what I need to do so it doesn't happen again . He also even replaced the light bulb. He got the job done in about an hour. He called before he came and came on time.

I called OH and they told me they could get someone out the next day. They said they would call back around 3 to let me know the next day's schedule. They called back, but it was to say they had someone in the area immediately if I had time. I did and the worker came and performed the services I listed. He looked hard for ways to save me $$ and was a very pleasant person.

They give good service. I think they are little pricey, but they do good work. I would recommend them to others. They are professional and show up when they say they will.

The installer arrived on the day and time promised and completed the job rapidly. He showed me how to use the new system and reprogrammed both my external keypad and the two remote openers from the old unit. He removed all debris and the old unit. I had used Overhead Door of Charlotte about 2 years ago to replace the spring that failed, and I would use them again. They are a bit pricey, but their warranty and the speed of service were worth it.

They walked me through everything over the phone, and asked me a series of questions to deduce the problem. The sun was hitting the sensor in the late afternoon, interferring with the function. I moved the sensor a little more inwards and the door worked perfectly.

It went outstanding. Price and professionalism were good.

they were hours late with no call, I had to keep calling them and they were still late, very unprofessional, the installers were poorly dressed, very sloppy. Said it "wasn't their fault" they were late with no call.

Placed a service call to Overhead Doors on Wednesday and was set for an appointment for Friday of the same week. My appointment was set up,for hours between 8 AM - noon. I received a courtesy call Thursday afternoon that a technician will arrive to my home between 8 AM - noon. On Friday morning the technician was ringing my doorbell at 8:15 AM -and the service was complete within 45 minutes. The tech was friendly and made sure my door was operational before leaving my home. I'm happy to be able to put my vehicle back in the garage away from the elements.

The technician was on time, friendly and very competent. He actually finished the installation quicker than the estimated time. I would definitely use this company in the future

Everything was done in the time promised. All information was explained well. They were professional and courteous.

My spring to my garage door broke a few days ago as the door was closing. I looked on Angie's list on 2/18 for a recommended company to use. I found one that I liked but then read the reviews and saw the bad comments left. I decided to try the Overhead Door company at that point. I read their reviews and liked what I read. I called them up around 1pm. They had someone to my house around 3:30pm and had the job complete by 4pm.

According to the tenant, the door is good. They like it and the fact that it is insulated. I like that it is a reputable company and that it has a long warranty. About the actual installation, my tenant said: he was very nice, polite and clean.. However they did tell us they would be here by 9:00 that am and didn't show in till 1:30ish. My husband had to call them. The office said he would be out around then. Just wish they would have told us that and not 9:00am. Probably not his fault. Other then that he was great.

Met with Blair for an estimate mid November. Doors had to be customized so they took about 21/2 weeks for delivery. i was surprised when she called to tell me they could install them prior to the holidays. I was a bit concerned when 1 installer arrived, but he did a masterful job with the installation. It proved to be quite a challenge due to some low-hanging ductwork, but he persisted and made modifications that enabled the door to fit with adequate clearance. I had feared I would have to have the ducts removed, but ultimately I did not. He truly was a professional who took great pride in getting the job "right". He hauled away all the old door parts so the garage instantly had a new look in one afternoon.

The technician for Overhead Door arrived a couple of hours later than they had estimated, but he helped us tremendously. We had problems with both of our garage doors, in that one would not work at all and the other one would only work with our cars inside of the garage. After some work, he was able to determine that the secondary opener, the one that was not working at all, had to have its circuit board switched out. After he did that, the other opener started working properly. It was somehow causing interference to the main opener. The overall cost was minimal about $240 with an Angie's list service coupon. Plus he went ahead and greased the chain on both doors also. I would highly recommend Overhead Doors to anyone.

Our garage door supports came loose from the ceiling and shift just enough that the garage door would not close or open completely. It was stuck halfway. This happened late on a Friday night. We called that night and they offered to come out to repair but we since it was late, we decided to have them come first thing Saturday morning. They showed up on time and had the door repaired in less than an hour. Great service and would definitely use again.

Best service we have received in a long time. The technician who came in cared and took the time to ensure every part of the garage door was functioning properly. Definitely recommend this company!!

The overall process was very efficient and easy. I had no problem contacting the company and getting an appointment scheduled around my calendar. The technician came out and evaluated the situation. He performed a thorough assessment of all the garage door components and addressed electrical issues for the opener. In addition, he programmed the keypaid to allow entry from the outside. There was a hiccup with the programming, but he made the effort to call for support and tested it multiple times to ensure proper function. Although he was working for 2.5 hours, I only paid $50 since some of the time delay was a result of programming issues.
