Description of Work: Broken spring on garage door, so couldn't open it to get vehicles in/out. Overhead Door replaced both springs quickly and efficiently. Very courteous and knowledgable service tech. Have used Overhead Door before and will continue recommending them to friends.

Description of Work: Turns out my motor on the garage door was shot not to mention i had a crappy system in there anyway. Mike (my service tech) arrived on time and gave what my boyfriend and I felt was a very honest assessment of what was wrong and what he suggested. Mike was professional....easy to talk to...did not rush us or try and sell us on something not needed. We went with him right on the spot. Our new garage door is wonderful and couldn't be happier.

Description of Work: Nothing- we were called the night before, and told that the service individual would be at our home between noon and 5. I called the next day to see if we could get a more specific time frame, and was told that it would likely be before 3 PM. At 450 PM, I called the vendor, and told them we had still not had anyone show up at our home. I was told by that individual that he would call and see what was going on, and would call me back; he did not. At about 620 pm, the repair person called and said that he was on his way. As we had plans that evening, we told him not to bother, and let him know how disappointed we were with Overhead Door. He said they had been busy, but I at least would have expected a phone call letting us know. I will not use this company again, nor will I recommend them to others.

Description of Work: Replaced 7' X 16" garage door and installed new belt drive opener. Easy to do business with, installation went fine. I am very pleased with the service I received and would be glad to use them again.

Description of Work: Garage door came off track. Called Overhead Garage Door, they were at our house within a few hours, fixed the door (spring had lost its tension)and tuned up our other door at no extra charge.

Description of Work: Replaced molding and weatherstripping on bottom of door.Replaced 2 sections of weatherstripping on sides. Made sure door tracked properly and lubricated all door rollers and hinges. Garage door now good as new.

Description of Work: On Sunday evening, my brother discovered he could not open my garage door because the spring broke. I immediately called the emergency service number (24/7) of the original installer, Overhead Doors, and although the message said the office was closed for the Christmas holiday through Wednesday, the recording said to leave a message (pressing one number -- #4 -- for residential emergency service) and an on-call manager would get back to me for the emergency. Having your car trapped in the garage -- and you essentially stranded -- is an emergency. No one ever called back -- neither Sunday nor even Monday. So much for their touted 24-7 emergency service. Someone needs to explain to them that 24-7 means 24 hours a day, SEVEN days a week. Luckily, I went on Angie's List and found the first top- rated garage door service company on the list. The owner called me back within 10 minutes and was at my home within 30. Meanwhile, Overhead Doors' "on-call manager" still did not call. On Monday, I called again (pressing #4 as instructed to leave a message for the emergency service dept) and left a message that I had no choice on Sunday night but to call the other company. I told them that I would never use Overhead Doors again. During the service call from the other company, the owner not only repaired the springs (which were not strong enough for the weight of the door in the first place), but at no charge re-installed the safety sensors which were installed too high by Overhead and not according to code. He also discovered that the track bracket for the garage door opener Overhead installed two years ago was installed upside down. Not surprising because during that install two years ago, the Overhead Door tech had to come back because a gap remained at the bottom of the door after a new panel was installed, the second remote for the new battery-backup door opener was smashed and had to be replaced, and then the tech had to return yet again because he installed the battery backwards, and then again because the digital display kept turning off. In retrospect, I should have learned my lesson during that last frustrating experience, but now this seals it -- I am through with the shoddy customer service and workmanship of Overhead Doors. They are not the only game in town and, like I said, I will never use or recommend them again.

WE WERE ABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM AFTER ABOUT 30 MINUTES OF TRYING VARIOUS THINGS WITH NO SERVICE CALL OR FEE. IN THE FUTURE I WOULD HIRE THEM FOR ANY GARAGE DOOR NEEDS
