ADT is an A level company that we feel pleased with overall. They do what they say they will do when they say they will do it and thanks to them our home is protected adequately from intruders and invaders.

Brinks is excellent. My house caught on fire and they were quick to save the day. I left a pot on my stove. They immediately called the fire company to save my home. They are a great company and really, they kept my entire house from burning down.

Excellent. Purchase decision made on a Monday, installation on Wednesday. The tech was excellent. Our home provided some challenges with installing a wired system without access to a crawl space... and at the conclusion of the project, you couldn't tell he had been here. He provided advice on where to place the keypads/motion detectors, without regard to ease of access... Instead he deferred to my requests. He was very forthcoming with any potential issues that may arise due to him ''drilling blindly'' in some of the walls, but he hit the mark each time. He even cautioned me about the ''cons'' of installing the phone ''line cut'' feature... Details that the sales person either did not know, or did not share. The sales person lacked some knowledge about the intricacies of the contract, but she was very responsive to my request for an appt.

ADT came by to give an estimate ($1654.00) The sales person was knowledgeable and thorough. However the sales person said that it was against company policy to give a written quote.

The technicians did a very professional job and stayed on the job until it was finished even though it was Friday night at 8pm. They did an adequate job of cleaning up but it could have been better. The sales person told me that it was a job that one technician would do in 6-8 hours; but it took two technicians 11 hours.

While the salesman was forthcoming in his recommendations I couldn't find in the contract or the sales material a written explanation of Brink's policy on relocating during the three-year contract. The salesman promised that if I moved after one year of the 3-year contract the agreement was transferable to my new location. The contract didn't cover this and eventually the salesman provided Brink's written policy on customer relocation, which confirmed his statements. Having had one break-in in our shed I wanted a system that would provide security to our home and shed. While negotiating with the salesperson on their relocation policy we had another shed break-in. Adding a wireless remote motion detector increased the system's cost $300. When the installation was done the installer had me sign the contract waiving Brink's responsibility if the wireless motion detector failed because it was installed in a detached but insulated and heated building.

The installer was a great worker with us to get a system to meet our needs.

Brinks sent out a salesperson who took us through their canned sales pitch, complete with flashy color flip charts and a briefcase mounted demo alarm system. She asked about our preferences and then went through the house and designed the system for us, and finally presented us with a price for installing the system. The price was very good. A day or two later, someone else from Brinks called me to ask some questions, she said she was doing the detailed system design. She eventually decided she needed to come out and see the house, and she went through it with us again, and when she was finished, the price was 2 1/2 times the original price we got!! The first person had not at all done what we wanted, the system she quoted did not have the things in it we asked for. At the end, their price was higher than another company who we liked better, so we went with the other company.

I called and set up a date for a sales rep to come out. He was there on time. I told him what I wanted, he listened and offered his suggestions. Eric was the sales rep and was not pushy at all. His ideas were the best for my home and I went with it. The people in the office and the installer were all polite and I'm very satisfied with the job.

We contacted Brinks and they sent a representative within 2 days. She came to our home and helped us design the system we wanted. They made the whole move seamless.

They did not show the first time, so I called them back and they said they were sorry that it happened. They rescheduled and did not show up again. They were pleasant and apologetic. I never heard from them after they didn't bother to show up the second time.

I called ADT, and asked for a service technician to come out and test my system, address a problem that was causing one of the entry points to remain lit and render the system unusable, and provide instruction on how to use the system with the dog in the house (disable the motion detector). The technician was in and out pretty quickly and didnt want to do a full system test (said it wasnt necessary) but he did find bad wiring in the closet and a bad contact. He gave me instructions on setting the alarm with a disabled motion detector that turned out to be incorrect and resulted in a false alarm and notification from the police the next day. I was able to read the instructions and figure out that his recommendation was incorrect. This particular technician was not very good, but my alarm service with ADT has been very satisfactory (I have monthly monitoring service with ADT).

I have had no problems with the alarm system. The installers were professional and gave their opinion on the best location for the motion detectors. Carefully explained how to use the system. Since installation, I have had little contact with the company.

We have a Brinks home security system already installed in our home, but our service was not active with them as we have a different service in place. After a period of time, we started to get piercing alarms (always in the middle of the night) informing us that the communications had failed back to Brinks. We called the Brinks number on the alarm and were promptly assisted on the phone by a technician in the middle of the night. The technician noted that the prior owners hadn't requested the system be disabled properly. Normally Brinks comes to your home to disable your system and alarms physically. However, since it was 3AM and the alarm could go off again at any time, he walked my husband through the step by step process to physically disable the alarm properly, and to remove the key portions of the alarm that were being disrupted. Very good customer service from a company we weren't actively using, which was nice.

Technician, Fred Brown was super. Not only did he fix the problem, but explained the work or the system to me.

I was the victim of a home-invasion and immediately called ADT since they were my current security company. I had been a loyal customer for several years, paying monthly monitoring. I begged for someone to come out immediately to URGRADE my system (i.e. I was prepared to buy more stuff). I was told they had no openings and would schedule me for a service call in TWO WEEKS. I canceled my service and called another company, who came out the next day and I had a new system in 2 DAYS.

Exhausting waiting on a part for approximately 6 months that turned out not even available or applicable to my situation. Also not being informed ''of a part'' or what the holdup was for 5 months.

Mr. Lamb was very accessible. He was on time and informative.

Phone calls not returned. Unhelpful help center. Rude conversations.

INSTALLED 2 UPGRADED KEYPADS, MOTION DETECTORS, DOOR ALARMS, HEAT AS WELL AS SMOKE DETECTOR. WE THOUGHT THE SYSTEM COVERED ALL OF OUR NEEDS AND THE SALESPERSON SEEMED VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THE PRODUCT. WE LIKED THE IDEA OF THE MONITORED HEAT AND SMOKE DETECTORS AS WELL. THE SYSTEM IS VERY SIMPLE TO USE. ANOTHER PLUS! WE COMPARED TWO SECURITY COMPANIES AND IT SEEMED BRINKS HAD MORE TO OFFER FOR ABOUT THE SAME PRICING OF THE COMPETITION.

THEY CAME OUT TO DISCUSS A SECURITY SYSTEM. I WAS UNDERWHELMED BY THE SALESPERSON, SEEMED VERY PUSHY, YOUNG AND INEXPERIENCED. I WASN'T THRILLED WITH HIS SUGGESTIONS AND WE DECIDED TO USE SOMEONE ELSE.

I SHOPPED AROUND, AND BRINKS WAS NOT THE CHEAPEST, BUT MADE ME FEEL THE MOST SECURE. THEY RETURNED MY CALLS PROMPTLY AND EXPLAINED EVERYTHING IN DETAIL. OTHER PLACES I CALLED DID NOT SEEM AS KNOWLEDGEABLE.

GOOD EXPERIENCE. WE STOPPED AT THE BRINKS TENT AT TASTE OF CHARLOTTE. REP WAS ON TIME, WORK WAS PERFORMED AS REQUESTED. NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER.

THEIR PRICE WAS VERY REASONABLE. I ALSO LIKE THE MEDIC BUTTON IN CASE I HAVE ANY HEALTH PROBLEMS, SINCE I LIVE ALONE NOW, PLUS IT CAME WITH A BUTTON REMOTE THAT I CAN WEAR ON MY WAIST AND WORK OUT IN THE YARD. PLUS, THEY HAD A FIRE ALARM BUTTON, TOO.

VERY THOROUGH, PROFESSIONAL, RESPONSIVE; WE ARE VERY PLEASED AND HAVE BEEN USING THEM FOR SEVEN YEARS. GENE ELLIOTT IS VERY CAPABLE AND RESPONSIVE.
