I have been using Acosta for all my heating and air conditioning for many years Every year, I get a maintenance contract with them. The cost of the contract is generally less than having it done without a contract twice a year. They contact me to schedule the servicing. The service person is almost always on time but if he is going to be late, he always lets me know and lets me know why. When the service is completed, he goes over what he did, explains things and lets me know what needs to be done, if anything. His explanations are always information and at a level I understand. He respects my ability to understand him. He answers my questions readily and honestly. I never feel that I am being taken advantage of. I never feel the need for a second opinion. I would recommend Acosta to anyone. My maintenance contract is $229.00/year. This provides two servicings of my system per year.

Since our house is now more than 10 years old we decided to start a contract on our units last year. We have had Acosta do work on our systems over time and already replaced the A/C unit for the upstairs zone. This visit was very much to our advantage. We now can be assured that our A/C will work as expected as we need it into the summer. However, the real advantage this time was that they found an unsafe condition in our upstairs furnace. There was a cracked heat exchanger. This means either a very costly repair to an aging piece of equipment or the chance to replace with a bit more efficiency and add a air cleaning unit to the upstairs that we have really noticed a difference with downstairs. With all of our family members having allergies to pollens and such throughout the seasons this has been very important to us. Even in the heaviest pollen days we have at least been able to retreat to our own homes for cleaner air. We have used Acosta for a number of years now and have found every reason to continue to do so. They are honest and fair about the options they provide and we have had the opportunity to choose options regarding the work.

The pure air system is working very well. The Lennox ERV did not do what it was advertised by Lennox to do and we had Acosta take it out ( We want to be clear that it was not their fault as Lennox did not spec the product correctly and most residential homes do not have ERV's.) We were very pleased that Acosta took the product back after a trial period and refunded our money which was fantastic customer service. Greg, who is one of their technicians was excellent (always ask for him) and he discovered a leak that the other HVAC company missed. We are very pleased with their service and will use them in the future for all our maintaince.

I ultimately chose another contractor solely because I wanted another brand of equipment, but I felt compelled to write a positive review for Acosta anyway. Lauren was great with the estimate, had a competive bid, and was on time and no-nonsense. I also appreciate that she didn't try to sell me a bunch of ridiculous upgrades that would have been pointless in a smaller older house. I would use Acosta in the future if I ultimately hadn't decided on another brand of HVAC equipment - overall very positive experience.

Acosta replaced a 16 year old furnace and AC unit. I met with Greg Plunkett. He was very professional and knowledgeable. Unlike one of the other companies I met with that required my wife to be present to get a quote, I never once felt like I was being sold. He provided me several options and recommendations and was not pushing the most expensive units. I ended up getting three quotes and Acosta was least expensive, but also the one I liked the best. On installation day, they arrived 15 minutes early. Both technicians were very pleasant and professional. It took most of the day which was expected. Everything was completed to our satisfaction and they left the area cleaner than when they started. We qualified for three rebates and their office staff is currently working on all three rebates on our behalf. Acosta made the whole process extremely easy and pleasant. I will definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone needing HVAC work.

Over the past 8 years and owning 3 homes - some at the same time - I have spent over $12,000 on Acosta services. So it pains me to write this poor review, but missing an opportunity to correct poor customer service is never a good sign for a company and there are too many other great providers out there. Acosta had the wrong date for our service meeting. Fortunately the tech called before he started our way and I corrected him. I also told him I was expecting them to show on the correct date and that he should CALL ME if that wasn't going to happen. He never called back, so I assumed I'd see him on the correct appointment day. Well, no one showed. While Acosta did send someone out to perform the service on another day, there was no compensation for me sitting at home for two hours waiting on the correct day. The office manager also stated that I should have called the office to make sure a tech was coming the right day - that I couldn't rely upon their representative to pass along a message. Ooookay. I want companies that value my time and will do whatever is within reason to keep me as a customer - and for that I meet them halfway - I have never missed an appointment with them nor, more importantly, forgotten to stroke $12,000 in checks. For the record, I was looking for a discount on another annual contract - nothing egregious. Again, doesn't bode well.

Had an 8:00 a.m. appt scheduled. I called them at 8:20 because no one had arrived. Receptionist said a technician had vehicle trouble, so ours had to help deliver some parts, but that he'd be there in 20 minutes (8:40). Called again at 8:50 when he still wasn't there, and canceled. They made no attempt to reschedule.

The last time that we had Acosta at our house for the scheduled maintenance the maintenance caused water damage in my ceiling because of it being done incorrectly. After getting another company out to look at the problem, they showed the mistake that was made by the Acosta employee. They also showed where maintenance was not done very well and how things could have been done better. I called Acosta after this happened and asked for them to repair the damage to my ceiling. After being assured that the owner would be notified, I received no further call about how you they would repair this situation. I ended up paying for getting my ceiling repaired and repainted to fix the water damage. I then wrote an email to the service department at Acosta with the above information telling them that I did not want to continue to have service from Acosta. I received no response other than a canned email from them saying the following: "Thank you for choosing Acosta Heating & Cooling! Were you pleased with our last visit? Please leave us an online recommendation. It will help others find a reliable heating and cooling company, and help us grow our local business. Please follow these instructions to leave a review on Google+ Local, Facebook, and/or Angie's List." So... I decided to leave a review on Angie's list. What makes this so frustrating is that I had been a customer of Acosta for many years and have even purchased entire systems for other houses. Each year I have paid for maintenance and it is disappointing to then find out that the maintenance job I had been paying for was not done well. For this reason, I am not renewing my service with Acosta and do not wish to have any more maintenance done by the company.

Everything went very well with the exception of the proper thermostat being defective. A loaner was installed and they came back later in the next week at my convenience to replace the thermostat. All of the install work was very good and looked neat and professional. The installers were professional, polite and friendly.

Acosta came out to give us a quote on replacing our damaged HVAC unit. The representative was punctual and arrived on time for the home assessment. He sat down with us and reviewed all our options with us. He was able to give us pricing on the spot and printed out a quote that day. There was no pressure and he provided his cellphone number to call back with any questions. Once we decided to use Acosta they scheduled the job within 3 days. They arrived on time to complete the job. The job was completed in a timely manner and so far we are happy with the work. The A/C unit is working great and keeping our house cold.

My A/C unit went out at 2:30am and I gave them a call between 3 and 4. The technician was able to get out to my house within 2 hours of calling that morning and diagnose the problem. He worked extremely hard to find the part that was needed to fix the A/C unit. The two technicians went out of their way to make sure that it was fixed that day instead of having to overnight a part and put it off until a later day. They were able to fix it by the early afternoon and everything was up and running. Also that day they did my annual A/C maintenance. I have used them for the last 10+ years and they are the best Heating/AC company that I have dealt with in the last 40 years. They really do care about their customers and make sure they are treated well. You could not meet a nicer person then Mr. Acosta, who is the owner of the business.

The system had not been serviced in years. Even I could tell it needed work when I opened the furnace. I was going out of town soon and wanted to have it looked at. The sent a technician over that afternoon. He showed me what he would recommend and what he suggested was reasonable. He called the office and asked if he could do the work today. He was able to get things back to specifications in a reasonable time the same day. I was grateful they could do the work before I had to go out of town. The technician was great.

I have done business with Acosta for over 10 years. This company is the only one that has touched my HVAC system in those years. Last summer I paid them to replace some equipment on my air conditioner/furnace. In the fall it malfunctioned and they had to repair it because of a faulty wiring connection in the parts of the system they installed. This spring a qualified technician (not from Acosta) looked at the blower motor that they replaced less than a year ago and told me that it started slow, was noisy and needed to be replaced. I can hear it running in the attic. He said it might test fine but that it was just a matter of time before it went. When I contacted Acosta all I heard was how it was an old furnace and needed to be replaced (it works fine except for the noise). When I told them that I appreciated their opinion but I would like the motor replaced they told me they wouldn't even though it was still under their 1 year warranty. I asked for the information on the part and told them I would pursue the matter with the manufacturer myself. After being told many times Mr. Acosta was the only one with that information, he has, on all requests, refused to speak to me about the issue. I think they did a shoddy job installing the parts for the original repair a year ago. It must have cost them a fair amount when they had to do the first repair under warranty. I am assuming warranty, to them, means only until they are tired of fixing things since they won't even discuss it with me. I find they are expensive, they are not very cooperative, and it sounds to me like they are more interested in selling new equipment than keeping my old equipment running as long as possible. I am offended that I can't get the owner of a business I have done business with for this long on the phone to even talk to me.

Greg came over on time for quote, explained very well about units and quoted four different levels of units within an hour. Because his quotes was the lowest among others we chose them. Service crew(four people) came around 9 in the morning, took out old broken unit and replaced new ones by 4. They cleaned up site and very easy to work with. Since inspector disapproved how they installed at first visit, crew came back following week to fix issues inspector pointed. Inspector came back and approved second visit. customer support was excellent to handle issues, followed up over the phone and paperwork to file rebate.

They installed the unit and everything worked fine. But the problem is one of the main vents, is blowing more air under the house than inside the house, so the unit would never shut off. What it is doing is putting conditsation under the house, which eventually lead to mold in the house. They were suppose to seal to the pipe, and have it inspected. However, the pipe is not up to code and so it also leaks A/C outside through that pipe. They sent someone out and they agreed the job was done wrong, and he even took pictures. They promised to send someone out, and we haven't heard from them since. I even had my insurence guy call them and they still won't come out.
