 + -1 moreThis was the first time I had used their services. It took them a day and a half to do the work. There were some very large trees. They were very professional. I would say they under promised and over delivered. They communicated very well from start to finish. I was very impressed with the cleanup. I would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: They removed one dead tree and approximately seven others that were in the way.

 + -1 moreI had a tree which had shifted position, was leaning over a neighbor's drive and in danger of falling. I called AAA on an evening early in the week. They returned my call promptly and came by the next morning, but only for an estimate. They couldn't give me a specific schedule for the work ("maybe today, probably tomorrow"), and actually did the work on the 3rd day. They also removed a 2nd tree which was dying, and gave a very reasonable quote for this 2nd tree, making the overall price competitive. The work was done very neatly, except for some twigs on my lawn from the dying tree. I was happy with the overall result and would use them again for routine tree work, but maybe not for urgent work.

 + -1 moreWorkers arrived on time and performed their work perfectly. Would recommend the group (headed by John) that serviced our trees. Removed all debris. Workers allowed us to supervise the trims (our decision to cut more or cut less). No drops from heavy limbs to damage yard or structures. Used ropes to drop large cuts. Workers have good attitudes. Will hire them again soon for larger trees to take down.

 + -1 moreDid not hire them and will not ever in the future. See above for why. Might be good for someone else who enjoys talking about what they have and is willing to show someone around their house when it's trees they want taken down.
Description of Work: Asked them to prune a maple tree, remove one tree stump, we already took branches off it. I just wanted them to use their chain saw and cut it as close to the ground as possible, no grinding and take off the branches, from ground to about 10' high on a cottonwood tree. Estimate was $800!! Apparently there's a company minimum of $500! Other company estimates came in $200 and $250. The guy told me that their Angie's List coupons were not valid, but "would give me one anyways". And the guy who came walked right past me when I showed him my backyard and pointed to the tree I was standing under in order to "oooh" and "aah" over my pool. I said "the tree is over here" but that had zero effect. He wanted to write the estimate in the house and then stopped in my game room to look at my foosball table. I escorted him to the door, saying I would not ever hire them. This would be a good company for someone who wants their things admired and is willing to pay a company minimum fee.

 + -1 moreOverall the project took about three days and went pretty well. The pine trees had to be topped off due to their size, prior to actually cutting them down. This was a fairly labor intensive process. While all of the debris was removed from the actual tree cutting, they did leave quite a bit of debris left over from the stump grinding process. Also, there were a couple of long indentations in the yard where the trees actually fell.
Description of Work: Removed four very large pine trees from my property and ground up the stumps. Also removed tree debris from two crepe myrtles my wife and I trimmed.

 + -1 moreI called Monday, Larry McAlpine came out Tuesday and they completed the work on Wed. I am over the top pleased with AAA Tree Experts! They worked very efficiently and their cleanup was amazing! Their customer service is outstanding. Larry walked me through the job during the estimate then the crew supervisor walked me through it the day they began work and after the job was completed someone walked me through again to make sure everything was done to my liking. They are very thorough and professional. They left me and my neighbors a mountain of free mulch too!
Description of Work: They removed 4 trees and pruned/trimmed 13 others.

 + -1 moreSeveral neighbors got together and had our trees banded by this company (a neighbor set up the service, collected the money and set up the time for them to come out). At first glance they seemed to do a good job except after a few weeks we realized the banding was not squirrel proof. I called once to see if they could come back and redo the trees. Got no callback so I called again and was told they were under no obligation to fix the banding due to squirrel damage (and wouldn't you think they would have a product that was squirrel proof considering how many squirrels live in trees!). They said they would "see what they could do" but I haven't seen or heard from them since.

 + -1 moreLarry McAlpine came out very promptly to assess the condition of 11 mature oak trees on my property. He was very nice and after viewing the trees he gave me a verbal, not written, estimate of $3,000.00 to thin all of the trees. He said they should be thinned every two to three years. He also bid $200 to grind two stumps. Another service sent an arborist, who said the trees were healthy. He suggested cutting two big dead branches and applying chemicals to two trees that had large fungal growths on them. He said thinning was not necessary and his price was much less than AAA. I was able to have the stumps ground for $85. My impression after this experience was that AAA was less interested in the condition of my trees than in making a maximum profit. That might be a harsh evaluation of the situation, but I think they recommended work that was not only not necessary but might be harmful to the trees. I would not recommend hiring them.
Description of Work: A neighbor's tree fell over, so I felt I should have my 11 mature oak trees checked to be sure they were healthy and safe. I was willing to have necessary work done. I had two stumps that needed to be ground.

 + -1 moreGot an estimate without even being there which was nice. Came earlier than expected to remove tree, which was even nicer. Ground stump out about a week later. Left several large surface roots in the ground in the same area the stump was ground up from. Poor communication from CS/Billing, after inadvertently missing the bill. I received no other communication from them until a letter from a lawyer shows up threating me with action, if i don't pay bill. No problem, I will happily pay the bill, however a call from them first to say "hey we show this bill as outstanding still did you forget or even send out another statement". I work in a small business I know how important it is to get paid, I also know how important it is to keep customers happy. Sending them to collections without sending more than one statement is just bad business. I missed the payment, however don't just send a happy customer to collections without making at least 2 attempts to collect payment.
Description of Work: Removed split pear tree and stump removal.

He came on Wednesday to discuss the work, and had a crew here on Thursday to complete the work. They were like Boy Scouts...the place looked better than when they arrived. Except for the missing trees, you could not tell someone had been doing work in the yard.

 + -1 moreWHILE DOING WORK AT OUR NEIGHBORS HOME, THEY PARKED TRUCK IN OUR DRIVEWAY, THEN BLOCKED OUR DRIVE WITH THE WOOD-CHIPPER. WE ASKED THEM TO CLEAR THE DRIVEWAY WITHIN THE HOUR SO WE COULD GET OUT. THEY DID NOT DO SO UNTIL REMINDED OF OUR REQUEST. THE DELAY MADE ME LATE TO WORK. WHEN THE WORK WAS COMPLETED, THEY BLEW WOOD CHIPS AND SAWDUST OFF THE STREET ONTO OUR LAWN. I ASKED THEM TO CLEAR THE DEBRIS THEY HAD BLOWN ONTO THE LAWN; THEY DID NOT DO SO. THE NEXT DAY THEY RETURNED TO CUT MORE LIMBS AND LEFT DEBRIS ON THE SIDEWALK BESIDE OUR HOUSE. THEY HAVE NOT RETURNED ANY OF THE CALLS I HAVE MADE TO THEIR OFFICE. I HAVE TALKED THREE TIMES WITH THEIR GENERAL MANAGER, ROBERT JONES. EACH TIME HE HAS PROMISED TO COME DEAL WITH THE PROBLEM. THE FIRST TIME HE SAID HE DROVE BY AND DIDNT SEE ANYTHING ASKED TO RETURN IN THE MORNING, HE CAME IN THE AFTERNOON AND LEFT A CARD. AFTER OUR THIRD CONVERSATION, HE PROMISED TO STOP BY AGAIN. WE HAVE NOT SEEN OR HEARD FROM HEARD FROM HIM SINCE.

THEY WORKED FOR APPROX THREE HOURS, RAN ALL DEBRIS THROUGH THE CHIPPER TRUCK, AND COMPLETELY RAKED & CLEANED THE AREAS WHERE THEY HAD WORKED. THEY EVEN SWEPT UP THE SAWDUST, CHIPS & LEAVES. THEY WERE VERY COURTEOUS & RESPECTFUL OF MY PROPERTY, AND DID A GREAT JOB. ROBERT JONES WHO QUOTED THE JOB, RETURNED TO CHECK ON THE CREWS PROGRESS. THE PRICE PAID WAS FAIR AND REASONABLE, CONSIDERING THE AMOUNT OF EQUIPMENT, MAN HOURS EXPENDED & WORK PERFORMED. I WILL USE THEM AGAIN FOR FUTURE TREE WORK.
