A-1 Wildlife Control

A family of squirrels moved into my attic. Chris from A-1 came out and inspected my home. He immediately set up traps and evaluated other possible points of entry into my home for other rodents and prevention. He was professional and friendly. All the squirrels were caught and I had additional repairs completed on my house to prevent any future rodent issues. I had new vents put in for the crawl space, covers on washer and dryer vents, and reinforcements around the roof. I'm very pleased with the service provided. And if I ever had a problem again I will call them.

Allen was very responsive and punctual. We appreciated his help to get rid of our extra "house guests".

What an awful experience from start to finish. While the initial call (first call to the company) went well, everything after that didnt. I will give them a thumbs up for actually catching the Squirrel, their service technician was extremely bullish on selling us on additional work and when we politely told him we weren't interested, he became very rude to us. Additionally, this service technician was never on time and on one occasion actually yelled at me because i was re-baiting the trap and i took the trap off the roof after the squirrel was caught ( note- the squirrel was in the trap for 29 hours). As a consumer, i felt i was ripped off and certainly deserved better treatment. I would not recommend this company to anyone unless you like to be treated in the most unprofessional manner.

I can call them if I have any problems, but they will come back in a while to come back and check. I now have a service contract with them to come back every season. I am very satisfied.

Responded to my request the next day. Trap was set that day and squirrel captured the next day. Repaired area damaged by squirrel nesting in my garage roof area. Repairs look great

Very courteous. Had a good service history. I was just very surprised at the cost. I've never had work like this performed so I admit I thought it would be far less expensive.

A-1 was responsive and responsible and did their job well. The raccons were humanely trapped over a two-day period and quickly taken away.

Called Allen to discuss evidence of tunnels I had noticed in my yard as it appeared mole may be causing the damages. He came over that same day to inspect and set traps accordingly in the back yard. Over the course of the next few weeks, attempts were made to catch the mole in both the front and back yards. While unsuccessful, I was pleased with the attempts and the strong customer service along with the offer to return when/if the mole reappears.

They are excellent. They are on time. They are efficient. They are also very cordial. They are available at anytime.

We discovered this morning that we had an opossum happily living in our garage. I called Allen early this morning and he gave me a two hour window of when he could arrive. Even though he was still within that window, he called when he was about 5 minutes out to let me know he was arriving and to apologize for being on the late end of the window. Once here, he caught the opossum quickly, checked the area, and assured me the opossum would be let go in a wooded area which was very important to me. The transaction was quick, efficient, and professional and I will definitely use this company again!

Called A-1 Wildlife Control at 5:30 pm, they said they would come over in 30 to 45 minutes, which he did. He found and removed the dead animal. He did what was promised. I would recommend him and I would use him again if the need arises.

It took only 1 week to completely rid my home of squirrels. A1 fixed the areas affected and it is undetectable as to where any work was done. They also secured other points of possible entry to ensure that this problem will not reoccur. Very satisfied!

Called at 1030am and got answer phone. Call returned by 11am. Appointment scheduled for same day between 1 & 3pm. Received a call at 2pm saying they would be with me in 30 minutes. Zee & Michael arrived at 230 as promised. I had a problem with mice and heard noises in the attic earlier in the year. 3 inspectors from a highly rated mouse extermination company had failed to find any traces of mice in the attic. I looked really hard yesterday and also saw nothing. I was convinced it was another type of critter. Within about 5 seconds of putting his head in the attic, Zee stated I had mice and seconds later was able to show signs of left over food. He continued to show clear evidence of mice. It was easy to see the tell tales once he pointed it out, but without the guidance of his specialist knowledge, I had not seen any traces when I looked yesterday. The previous extermination company had thoroughly sealed the house 3 to 4 months earlier - however the mice were still coming in now. Zee advised that its almost impossible to fully seal a house - which since the mice are back, I tend to believe. He sold me some very interesting baited poison that smells like food and contains nuts & seed. This seem much better than bait from the local stores and more appetizing than the other baits I have seen - I hope it works!!! Zee's knowledge was exceptional - I am glad I got their help and advice or I would have been struggling to get rid of this problem.

They were my first and only call, as I had used them before for squirrel removal. The difference in the two service calls was like night and day. The service with the squirrel was excellent. The "service" to remove the snake was a joke. The 2 service technicians arrived and I showed them where I had spotted the snake in my home and where the snake had escaped. There was absolutely no inspection. The 2 guys determined how many glue traps I would need and said they were going to "see if they had that many on the truck". When they didn't come back for some time, I went looking for them and found one guy on the phone talking to someone about a lockout service call. I'm sorry, but I had to leave work to meet them for their "inspection" and return to my job. But I'm kept waiting while they answer service inquiries for a completely different business??? They finally came in with the traps and put them down. As luck would have it, while I was preparing to write the check, I spotted a snake in a different part of my house. To their credit, they did come and capture that snake. At least that made me feel a little better about paying $149 for the "inspection" that never happened. All in all, I would have to say that I won't call them again.

A year later the bats came back so I called them to see if they were going to honor their warranty. They came out, inspected the new opening and determined that they made a mistake and were going to honor the warranty and do the repair at no additional cost.Having a warranty is no good if the company is not around to or will not honor it. Allen and his team were cordial an expedient in handling the situation and have a happy customer as a result.

They came and gave us an inspection and a quote to seal up our crawl space. They came back a week later to do repairs. Did exactly what was expected. Recommend.

I paid $149.00 for A-1 Wildlife Control to do approximately a 30 minute bat inspection. I choose this company based on their Angies list rating. I was told on the phone by Allan that the cost for bat removal is around $800.00. So, I decided to have them do the inspection. After the inspection my quote came to $3,250.00. I decided to go to Angies List again and came up with another option.Their bat inspection was $70.00 and the quote to do the same work with the addition of metal ceiling sealing around the master bedroom attic came to $1,700. Compared to two other quote their service call was over twice the amount and their estimate for the work was in one case $1,700.00 and in the other $1,500.00 for the same service. A-1 was over priced and in addition to being over priced their tried to sell me mice control in the attic. The other companies told me that the droppings were not mice. They said the droppings where bats. ....they explained and showed me. Based on the information, I could not possibly trust A-1's quote and decided to go with another Angies List option. I will let you know how that option turns out.

They came promptly to investigate after I called them to remove the squirrels from our attic. They were polite and thorough and they gave me a detailed list of their charges. A couple of times they were slow in coming out to retrieve a squirrel after it was captured in a trap. They did succeed in ridding our attic of the squirrels, but at a charge of $49 for each squirrel they removed (they caught ten in all for a charge of $490), plus $125 to close up a squirrel hole, and $500 for two turbine covers, I felt the total bill ($1,115) was a bit steep. However, I certainly couldn't have done the job myself and I was pleased to be rid of the squirrels, which had chewed through some of the electrical wiring in our attic.

This is the 3rd time we have had squirrels in the attic and had to have them trapped and removed. This is the 3rd animal control company we've used. They were responsive when called about checking the trap (which was a hit or miss with the others). We have had entry repairs made but this company showed where we were still vulnerable for future nestings. Six months later I can say that their repair work has done the job. No new squirrel families.

A-1 didn't find the offending creature and I'm waiting for the smell to disappate. I thought Felipe did the best he could to find what was causing the problem. Overall, I thought that the price of A-1's services are quite high, as was proven out by the services of my handyman.

I called about a possible dead animal causing an odor under our house. They took my information and were able to schedule me for the same day. They also explained the cost for the services on the phone so everything was clear upfront. They arrive within 2 hours of my initial call and within the agreed upon time frame. One of the techs went under the house and took care of removing our unwanted little visitor. All was completed in about 15 minutes and well worth the money ( B grade because I thought it was a bit high, but still worth it).

Zee came out and did an inspection on our roof and said that there was a gap all the way around the house which he quoted me that it would be $4300 to fix. He set up the trap and we caught the squirrel within 2 days. Left the trap for a week and didn't catch another squirrel. We are educated consumers and we definitely got another quote from another pest company which quoted us $3000 to do the same exact things this company would do. After Zee removed the trap I asked him to remove the squirrel nest which was easy to get to and it was right inside the fascia where the squirrel got in. He stated that it would be $75 for him to get it. I couldn't believe that he couldn't remove a squirrel nest which was very easy to get for that price after I paid him $169 to come out set up the squirrel trap and another $69 to catch the squirrel. I really thought their pricing to fix the roof was highway robbery in comparison to finding out another company would do the same thing for $1300 less. They also charge $20 for them to come rebait the trap if they have to. I was upset that after paying this company $240 they couldn't clean up the squirrel nest which was easy to get and asked me to pay them $75 for it. I called the owner, Allen and left a phone message stating how displeased I was that he was asking me to pay him $75 to get the squirrel nest and asked that he call me back. I never heard back from Allen and he never called back nor did he leave a phone message.
