Call in anyone else you like -- we even had a nationwide company rep come in (currently advertising a "buy one, get one room free" special... Mohammed beat them by a large margin. Will definitely use him in the future.

After being unhappy with the quotes we had received to have vinyl flooring installed at my parents home, I checked out Angie's List and found A1. I called and spoke with Mohammed, explaining that we needed some sub-floor repairs and vinyl flooring. He informed me he could take care of both. The next day we stopped by the show-room to look at samples and get a estimation. Mohammed then personally stopped by my parents home that night to confirm the scope of work, and take measurements to confirm pricing. His pricing was in line with the other quotes, but he was doing repair work that the others could not quote. We decided to have the work done. We were scheduled the following week. The crew showed up, was very polite and professional - and did a beautiful job on the installation. They were even able to save the pre-existing quarter round molding, which was great because it was already stained to match the pine walls in the home. As a side note, during the process, I was confused with how the work was going to be done and had to call Mohammed to discuss. He explained what I misunderstood about the installation, and told me not to worry, he would take care of my mother, and she would be happy. From that point, I was very comfortable with our decision. After the job was finished, Mohammed called on Saturday to make sure we were satisfied with the installation. My mother couldn't be happier, and the floor looks dynamite! It has really updated the home.

Muhammed was fabulous to work with. We met with him at his showroom to pick out tile. He listened to exactly what we wanted and didn't push pricey, expensive tile or designs we didn't want which was refreshing. He came to the house 2 days later with the samples we chose to see it up next to cabinets and the countertops and help decide the color of grout. He took measurements and gave us a quote within minutes. He worked around our schedule to have the crew get started. The morning his team came to start the job, he came with them to make sure they new exactly what to do. Muhammad stayed in daily contact with us and came back 2 days later to check on the progress and quality and make sure we were satisfied. The tile looks fabulous and the shower is better than expected. We plan on using them again for hardwoods and carpet.

Extremely pleased with A-1! We found them on Angie's list and they lived to their stellar reputation. We got a fair price for the carpet we liked, and the owner was extremely helpful working within our budget and giving us a few good options to choose from. (This process can be overwhelming in the big box stores, as you are pretty much left on your own to sort through the multiple racks of carpets to find what you want.) The installation was completed in one day and the crew was very professional and moved all our furniture and put it all back at no extra cost. The installation was excellent and the carpet looks great! They removed the old carpet and took it with them, and they vacuumed the new carpet before leaving. One other note: Don't be put off by their modest showroom. They have plenty of options and samples to choose from, just not in an elaborate (and expensive!) building. I highly recommend these guys. You will not be disappointed.

Superb from start to finish. We were expecting a lot because there were so many positive Angie's List write ups that were excellent and they exceeded those expectations. Mohammed (the owner) was awesome during the sales process. He guided us through the selection process for both the carpet and linoleum, never pressure sold us and even pointed out that we could do the extra bathroom with the size linoleum we were buying for our master bathroom because of the way the master was shaped. The instillation team was flawless. We have had a chronic squeak in our master bathroom and the installer took his time and made sure that the flooring was secured and there was no squeak before they placed the linoleum. They were professional, cleaned as they went, cleaned before they left, helped move furniture when they got there and when they left and did an excellent, excellent job. Our experience from beginning to end was one of the best we have had from an Angie's list contractor - which is saying a ton about Mohammed and his team. Use them with 100% confidence.

From coming to our home on an evening to fit my work schedule, to patience in selection of grade and color, Mohammed was terrific. As part of our negotiated price, Mohammed agreed that his team would move all the big furniture (we would take care of small items and knick knacks). They had a big job in front of them with a large entertainment center upstairs, ficus tree, beds, dressers and in our master, a bed with split, adjustable frame and large canopy. There is also a universal weight training machine upstairs that had to be moved. In total, they did 4 bedrooms, 5 walk-in closets, a bonus room, long hallway and two staircases. They worked long hours and never complained about a thing. Mohammed was great to deal with from the beginning, including working with us on the dates and his installers (led by Jose) did a great job and really went above and beyond in their work ethic and hours. The quality of the work was outstanding and they paid attention to every detail. We would HIGHLY recommend A 1 Carpet and Tile to anyone considering new carpet.

We selected this company based on Angie's List reviews, and we were extremely happy we did. First we visited the showroom to pick our carpet. Muhammad was extremely helpful, and tried to save us money everywhere possible. He gave us a great deal, and honored the Angie's list coupon we brought. Next he showed up in person to do final measurements, and again, helped us save by figuring out the best way to configure the carpet in order to not have to purchase extra. This meant we even got to carpet our closet, which we previously hadn't planned to! Finally, Muhammad knew we were in a hurry to get the carpet installed before we moved in, and was able to accommodate us, even though it meant working late into a Saturday night. The crew were among the best I have ever had the pleasure to work with. They were extremely professional, brought their own supplies, to include a vacuum, and did an absolutely outstanding job on the installation. Muhammad and his crew went above and beyond every step of the way. I am a customer for life.

We visited the store location, and the owner was very pleasant to work with. Muhammad was helpful in making recommendations, came out and did the mesaurements, gave us a great price, and his workmanship was outstanding. He was very responsive, and from the time we visited to the time he finished the project it was less than a week.

They did an excellent job. Was able to measure and complete work quickly, and at a fair price. Everything was like clock work, and clean up was great as well. They called and said they were going to be half hour delay, but ended up an hour late. We are in a different county so maybe they mis-judged the travel time. But this would in no way cause me not to use the company again. I will be replacing my carpet upstairs in the future and they will be the first on the list to do the work. They did a great job! Highly recommended.

Our house is only two years old and we have a wood staircase. We had leftover carpet from when the house was built. Our dog has always had issues going up the wood steps. This summer he had knee surgery so we thought about using the leftover carpet for stair treads or a runner to make it easier for him once he was healed. I spoke with Mohammed twice over the phone explaining my situation and we discussed my options. On the third call we had decided to do the runner. He was able to send two people to my house in just a few hours on a Friday afternoon (the same day!!). They had the equipment in the truck to cut and turn the edges under to make the runner, and in just a few hours had it installed. Since it would be after closing when they finished he said I could call him on Monday to pay with my credit card. This project was the easiest, most pleasant experience we've ever had that we didn't do ourselves. In addition to the labor of the installation the cost included carpet padding, tack strips and such. We thought it was a reasonable amount and definitely recommend A1 Carpet and Tile.

A-1 did an excellent job of installing laminate in a new room in our home. It was a good experience from start to finish.

I am a satisfied and happy customer of A-1. This was out first experience with the company and our experience was excellent in every regard. Mohammed is punctual, professional, and friendly. His service in the showroom was to choose a new product was enjoyable and and productive and he assisted in choosing the best product for the best price. Installation was smooth, his crew did a fine job even though they had to cut the carpet off-site since it was raining and we had no garage. I could tell this added to their effort and they handled it in stride. I will do business with A-1 again and would recommend them without reservation.

The 2 carpet stretchers arrived look at everything and started working. They had to move furniture, etc and never complained. After stretching carpet in each room, they vacuumed the carpet and took whatever they had cut. Very professional and I will recommend to friends.

Mohammed was very helpful and provided a good selection of materials to choose from. He helped me decide which materials would best suite my needs. After making my selections at his showroom he calculated an estimate based on measurements I provided. The estimate was quite reasonable and he came to my home the next day to take the actual measurements and ordered the materials. Within several days the materials arrived and were installed. I was very pleased with workmanship of the installers and everything went smoothly. Mohammed even followed up to make sure that I was happy with everyting. Great experience!!!!

They came out to do all new carpet in my house. They were on time and punctual. Very easy to work with. Allowed me to pay after the job was complete and I approved. The work they did was great and I would recommend them to anyone in the future

I met with A-1 after another carpet dealer I had signed up with called and told me that his manufacturer was out of stock and would take a "couple of weeks to get it in and installed". I needed to install the carpet prior to moving in the following week. I had seen that A-1 was an Angie's List top rated carpet sales,installation store and decided to go to A-1's store to see if they could help. I explained my situation to Mohammed and he helped me with carpet selection. He then called the manufacturers to see if the color and style were in stock while I was waiting. Upon finding that my choices were in stock, due to the tight time frame of one week, Mohammed came out to the house that evening and provided the final estimate. A-1 got the carpet in and installed on time. The installer and his crew did and outstanding job with no damage or markings on the base boards or moldings. They actually blew my garage out for me and cleaned up because they knew the movers were coming the next day. My experience with A-1 was truly outstanding! Mohammed went out of his way to meet with us and delivered on what he said he would do on a very tight schedule. I would recommend A-1 to my friends and family without hesitation. I will be returning to see Mohammed about floor tiles very soon.

The job went very well. I was very pleased with the owner of the company. I had been to other carpet places and nobody really wanted to answer any of my questions. I had done research online about how to buy a carpet, about pile, density and everything. They just wanted me to buy the carpets which they offered and which had the best deal, but that was not the way at A- 1 Carpet. They answered all my questions and I was very pleased. I was very pleased with the owner as he called me back to see if I was happy, if everything was good and if the workers had done their job well. They moved the furniture and put everything back. They hauled the old carpets and put the new ones. I would use them again in the future if need be.

Went down to A-1 to get a quote from Muhammed, and he showed us the options we had. We had pretty much already decided on vinyl for the bathroom, but wanted to discuss other options. We had a rough estimate on sizing, but he insisted on coming out before ordering the product to ensure we got the right amount. It was a good thing too since he noticed we needed a mix of natural and white shoe molding, and the calculation was a bit off. Once we had the exact numbers, he ordered the product. The first shipment came in quickly, but was damaged. No problem, just had to wait till the next week (only 1 shipment a week). Once the product came in, his guys came out to install it and did a fantastic job. Was very please with their work. So much so that we ended up purchasing carpet for the rest of the house where it needed replacing. He found a carpet that would match/transition well in areas where replacement was not necessary, saving us some money. Again, his crew came out and did a great job on the installation. While the installers are a subcontractor, he has been using them for years, and we are very satisfied with the results. We'll definitely use A-1 for all our flooring needs in the future.

The repair men arrived at about 1 and were done by 4. They stretched the carpet in all of my rooms in 3 hours. I was very pleased. The carpet looks like new again. I thought the price was great. Thanks. again.
