A-1 Carpet & Tile

The guys did a good job, very clean and efficient. I only hired them to do the actual carpet stretching. I (with family help) moved out all the furniture before they came, and put it back after they left. They would have moved it, but the price was too high for me.

They installed new hardwood flooring in our foyer. They tore out all the old carpeting, and the linoleum that was under the carpet. They nailed in the new hardwood flooring, and they did a fantastic job! They were also extremely nice.

A1 Carpet and Tile did a superb job installing hardwood flooring in our living room, dining room, study, and hallway.. We had originally contracted with Lowe's to do this work and spent six weeks weeks continually on the phone to get Lowes to finish the job, but to no avail. One call to Mohammed on a Wednesday evening resulted in the hardwood floors completely done that Saturday and ceramic tile around our fireplace the following Tuesday. His workers were well organized, meticulous in their work, and extremely personable. It was obvious from the quality and efficiency of their work that they had many years of experience. They took care to clean up before leaving. Mohammed called each time before they came to let us know they were on their way and followed each time to ensure we were satisfied with their work. We found their price to be very reasonable. This was one of the best experiences we have ever had with a company and we are already planning to contact them for additional work. Their installers are truly top notch, come and get the job done immediately in an outstanding manner. Mohammed stays personally involved managing the job to make sure the customer gets what he needs. He is one of the most professional individuals I have ever dealt with.

The flooring installed in my rental townhome looks fantastic. Mohammed recommened using a vinyl (that looks like hardwood) to keep costs down and it looks amazing. As part of the install, his team installed white shoe molding all around the vinyl, which really makes the floor pop. The wood reducer/transition piece he installed between the vinyl and the kitchen tile looks excellent as well. Moving upstairs, they installed carpet on the stairwell, hallway, and 2 bedrooms, all of which turned out beautifully. The job was completed on-time, on-budget, and the job site was spotless after they were done. I would highly recommend A-1 for your flooring job. The entire process from estimate to install took less than a week.

I can't say enough how great this experience was for us. It started with a phone call late in the day asking them to give us a quote. Mohammed came out that night! He showed us samples and gave us prices for the whole job or just individual rooms. We were on a tight deadline to get the carpet installed. He scheduled us for within a week..THEN called us two days later and said they had an opening that day to do the work. The installers showed up on time and were professional and and very nice folks. They did a great job of removing the old carpet and cleaning everything. The install went quickly and we are very happy with the new carpet. We then received a follow up call from Mohammed a couple days later asking if everything went to our liking.

i contacted Mohammad after reading all the good reviews on Angie's List to get some tile work done. We had a great initial consultation at the store as he laid out all my options based on my budget. I would say his selection and prices are very competitive and I went ahead and placed an order. The day before work was to began, Mohammad did contact me to say that there would be 1 day delay as his installer was sick but he would still wrap up the work in the promised time frame. The work started as promised and his crew worked long hours 8am-10pm for several days to get the work done on time. I was very impressed with the lead installer, Emilio. He did a great job calling out any problem areas/issues with the install and how we could go about addressing them. He went ahead and fixed certain items which were not in scope of the original project for a very nominal fee. Throughout the project, Mohammad kept tabs on the work done and came by several times to check. Overall, I am very satisfied with the work and I will highly recommend A1 Carpet and Tile.

They removed damaged part of carpet and stretched it. You would never know there was any damage

The tile work went slower due to the 2-man crew being reduced to a single man due to auto trouble and the second man then dropping from the crew. Despite there being only a single person laying an enormous amount of tile, he did an fantastic job. Our first round of carpet had a flaw and was replaced very quickly. The customer service and workmanship of A1 and its service providers was topnotch! We referred them immediately and would definitely use them again!

They had good reviews on Angie's List. There was no issues with scheduling. They were able to come when I was not there, I had left a key to let them in the house. There were three people here doing the work and it took them most of the day. The end results look great.

The entire new carpet experience was fast and easy. From the original selection process to measuring the rooms to the istallation - everything went really well. The selection of brands, styles and colors is extensive but not too overwhelming. After my initial selection, I decided to consider another style. Brought home the samples to live with them for a day or so before my final decision. Once made, we ordered it and scheduled the intallation. On installation day, the (very professional and courteous) associates showed up on time and ready to get started. Their attention to detail was amazing! Once complete, they left my home cleaner than when they arrived. I had previously used (2012) A-1 Carpet and Tile to install natural stone in my den and patio. That was a very complex installation that turned out beautifully!

Owner kept every appointment on time. He called several times to update me on the status of my carpet. And the installers were neat and worked hard and fast. Highly recommend!

My husband and I decided to it was time to have our entire downstairs with ceramic (Hardwood look) plank tile in all rooms and regular tile in kitchen and bathrooms. After reviewing several reviews on Angie's list and receiving three (3) different quotes and Mohammad provided the best quote, project timing and expertise in handling the project. The project began a day earlier and ended as job was projected (perfect because I am a stickler for timing). The contractors were extremely professional and worked diligently as my husband worked from home upstairs. Heavy furniture was moved. Carpet, linoleum (kitchen and bath), hard wood (entry way) ripped up and replaced with tile and shoe molding installed. Heavy furniture moved back into house after completion. The floors look great and an excellent job was done. Mohammad was always available for any questions or concerns and came by a few days after the project was completed to be sure all was well. We truly selected the right company.

This is my first ever review, but due to the fact I was so impressed with Mohammed and his installers I felt I needed to write a review for A1 Carpet and Tile. Prior to visiting A1 Carpet & Tile, I had a home improvement store contractor come out to measure and he stated they would not move my elliptical or my pneumatic bed, so I told him I would need to use someone else. Due to the reviews on Angie?s List, I decided to visit A1 Carpet and Tile and was told the installers would be more than happy to move those 2 pieces of furniture for me. I met Mohammed and he took his time to explain the choices, and did not pressure us with a "hard sell". He came to our home the same week, measured the rooms, and gave us a written estimate. He brought samples along because based on our conversations he thought one of the samples might be more like what we were looking for, and we ended up choosing that one (this was a different carpet than we choose in the store). The carpet was ordered & installed within 2 weeks. The installation crew was very professional and did a fantastic job and had it all installed in one day, even though it took them about 10 hours. The next day I did notice that there was a lot of carpet fibers coming loose at one of the doorways and I called Mohammad. He offered to send one of the installers ASAP, but we settled on the following weekend as this was more convenient for me. Not only did the installer correct the one area, but he went over every inch of every carpet edge to make sure they were all installed correctly. I would highly recommend this company.

This is the third time we have used A-1 and Muhammed is always very responsive and professional. He comes out quickly to assess the job, bring samples and quote a price. The crew behaves professionally and courteously. The job was done quickly and looks great. We will continue use A-1 for all of our flooring needs in the future.

I had visited other carpet businesses, and received estimates to replace my carpet. I became overwhelmed with the various choices, colors, textures, etc. So I put the project on hold for a while. After reviewing the comments on Angie's List, I decided to visit A1 Carpet and Tile. I met Mohammed and he took his time to explain the various choices, without trying to sell me on a particular brand. He came to my home the same week, measured the rooms, and gave me a written estimate on the spot. He brought samples along and assisted in confirming our color choice. The carpet was ordered, and installed within 2 weeks. He continuously kept us updated about the installation date and time. The installation crew was very professional and did a fantastic job. It was a one-day job which they performed on Saturday. I usually don't take the time to write reviews, but I was really impressed with Mohammed, the installers, and A1 Carpet and Tile. I would highly recommend this company.

Muhammed is very professional and responsive. He has great communication skills throughout the process. Workers got things done fast and cleaned up after themselves thoroughly. Floor looks great and I will be calling again soon!

They were quick and they did exactly what they said they were going to do. I thought in terms of service, it was fabulous. I also thought they were very reasonable. I will definitely hire them again.

Service was good, had a little confusion within the different crews on the application scheduling. Crews worked the full time and keep their mess cleaned up. Very courteous and polite.

They were affordable, did a good job, did what they said they would and were on time.

We met with the owner who was just as described in other Angieslist Reviews-very courteous and professional. He offered some good ideas for some carpet that we wanted to install on our stairs, and he even managed to have it installed a day early. It was a pleasant business experience.

final result was fabulous. Quality of installation and product (carpet & padding) was exceptional. I give high ratings to the installer - I was unable to locate seams where carpet was joined...and I looked HARD! No noticeable collateral damage to baseboards and carpet was flat as a mirror (no wrinkles observed). Cost seemed pricey, however I don't know market prices ... I will add that the price was within budget and clearly I received BEST QUALITY service and product, so ultimately this might just be my lack of expertise (I certainly wouldn't want to pay less and receive poor quality).

To give this company an "A" is too low. We thought we were going to have to replace a section of carpet but after speaking with Mohammed we decided to give A-1 Carpet and Tile a try. It was the best decision we made. Mohammed said he was going to send his best guy and he was not kidding. Jose showed up on a Sunday, yes a Sunday to accommodate our schedule. He was very friendly, very knowledgable, and even put up with us watching him work. Jose made quick work of our problem, was very friendly, answered any of our questions while he was working, and clean up after he was done. When he was finished, you could not tell where the damage had even been. To be honest, the area fixed by Jose looks better now than it did when we bought the house 6 years ago. We will definitely be using this company, and Jose again if we ever have any other issues with our carpets. We could not recommend them highly enough.

We were getting ready to sell our house and were afraid we would need to replace the carpet in our whole bedroom due to a large stain in the middle of the attached sitting room. I called and described the work to be done. I was given a quote over the phone. The owner was very patient with me as I proceeded to reschedule the appointment twice do to work scheduling difficulties. The crew arrived on time, made sure to take their shoes off at the door, and proceeded to get right to work. They were able to cut out the ruined area and patch it with matching carpet from a nearby closet. They provided some carpet of similar color to replace the closet carpet. The crew did a great job with the repair, taking care to clean up after themselves. They even brought their own trashbag and hauled it away when they were done. They did all the work of clearning out the room and putting the furniture back when finished. I couldn't be happier with the results. You can't see any kind of seam around the patch. It's only noticable because the patch carpet is cleaner than the carpet surrounding it. My wife came home and couldn't see the patch until I pointed it out to her. I would definitely recommend them to anyone that needs carpet repair.

The lament flooring was put in on 5/28/13 and looks absolutely beautiful. The gentlemen who installed it were very professional and and did a great job. They cleaned up any mess that was made and were just a great group of men. On 5/31/2013 the carpet was installed and also looks absolutely beautiful too. The workers did a great job and cleaned up great. They also were very professional and got the job done. They had to carpet three bedrooms and two sets of stairs with a landing. I would highly recommend A-1 Carpet and Tile to anyone. Mohammed was great to deal with and kept in touch with us throughout the process.
