Description of Work: I called the phone nos. provided on Angie's list and they have been disconnected. Joe Ray did our entire roof 9 years ago and I wanted him to give me an estimate on a repair, but he is apparently unreachable.

Description of Work: Joe Ray Roofing re-roofed our house and detached garage with architectural shingles, installed gutter guards on the house, and did extensive repair on termite-damaged facia boards on the garage . Working with the company was a pleasure from start to finish. Becky was prompt, professional, and helpful at every stage; she scheduled the meeting for the estimate promptly and handled our many questions very well. She gave us the addresses of houses to visit so we knew in advance how the color would look after installation.. The estimate clearly listed every step that would be included in the job and warned us to prepare for the dust, etc. that accompany any roofing project, so the only surprise was that the dust was not as bad as we had feared. Mike and his crew completed the initially contracted parts of the job in three days, re-roofing the house and the detached garage, removing old solar panels, and flashing around the skylights, solar tubes, and chimney. When we asked for gutter guards in the middle of the job, the answer was a quick "of course;" and when the fascia boards on the garage turned out to be double layered and badly termite damaged, Mike worked for an extra half day with amazing good cheer on a nasty and awkward job. Most impressive, Mike was always looking to minimize our costs. He could easily have charged more for that extra carpentry, but he took the inconvenience and delay in stride and gave us a more than reasonable price for the unexpected work. We could not be more pleased with Joe Ray and would definitely call them again.

Description of Work: Requested that they replace the boots surrounding all of the vent pipes on the roof, as one was the cause of a leak.

Description of Work: Joe-Ray Roofing removed our old shingled roof and installed a new one on our 2100 square foot home. They used the shingles that are guaranteed for 30 years. They also installed ridge vents.

 + -1 moreI was afraid I'd need a new roof when I saw some wet spots on my ceiling upstairs. Joe Ray's said the roof is still good, it just needed some patching. They said that the shingles were still guaranteed for three more years. They fixed the leaks with patches and took care of the problem.

 + -1 moreWe were doing a remodel and found that we had a leak. Hired Joe Ray's to address the leak prior to finishing project. With the caveat that it can be challenging to find roof leaks, they basically did a quick patch job that failed within two months. Brought them out again, another patch job, another leak with the next rain storm. After each "patch", I re-finished the damaged drywall inside. Finally, after continued leaking, brought in another contractor and found that there was a major issue with the roof/ chimney joint and had to re-build part of the chimney shaft and re-flash and re-roof that area at a cost of approx. $3000. Finally, it's fixed and I've once again repaired and repainted the drywall. What a headache!! I wish Joe Ray's had taken more time initially to find out what the problem was and fixed it right the first time! Would have saved LOTS to time (and probably some money, too). I'm more disappointed than anything else. Maybe repairs aren't their strength.
