About us

Clutter free is a professional organizing company assisting anyone who needs help de-cluttering and functionalizing their home or office. Organizing is not a one size fits all process. We strive to create a system that enables the client to maintain the easiest. Our process includes a free phone consultation, an in home consultation and work sessions. There are no contracts, just an hourly fee. So if a consultation is all you need then that is all you pay for but if you need assistance to accomplish the de-cluttering and organizing then you you can hire us for that too. There are no extra fees for dropping off donations or recycling. The only extra fee is for a trip charge if you live outside our 30 mile radius. We accept cash or check at time of service. Clutter and disorganization is embarrassing, costly, overwhelming and time consuming! Can't work with better than Cary!
Description of Work: Cary helped me unpack loads of boxes and set up my new home office and laundry room, she helped clear space in my new garage, and shared great suggestions for organizing my odd little kitchen. I have worked with Cary multiple times in the past and she is consistently upbeat, positive, and can really MOVE. She is busy the entire time, but somehow leave me feeling calm and comfortable moving at my own pace. At the end of every session I felt great relief and was happy to ask her help again with different areas of my home.

Description of Work: Cary is like a personal trainer for organization! I had just moved from a bigger house to a smaller one, and for a month after the movers left, I was stuck, and had not even unpacked some rooms because I had too much stuff and no place to put things. I would start unpacking and then get overwhelmed and lose focus. Cary helped me sort out what needed to be in "prime real estate," what could be stored in the attic, and what could be donated to bless someone else. She did the same with each of my three children in their rooms. Sometimes it really helps to have fresh eyes looking at your storage habits and putting the things you use most often where you can easily reach them. And she worked her tail off, schlepping bags and bins up and down stairs, taking stuff to be donated and bringing me tax receipts. She also held me accountable. When I said I'd "get around to" calling the thrift shop about having a sofa picked up to be donated, she stood there and made me do it right then. She sends me text messages, checking in on whether I have done my "homework." This service was worth every penny, because what Cary and I got done in each 4-hour session would have taken me days (at least), and having a less cluttered house has completely changed my energy and made me more productive in other areas. Thank you, Cary!

Description of Work: She went over 3 or 4 areas that I wanted to address, she said we could do a little on each or pick one and spend the time on that. I picked one since I bought one visit. |It was helpful to have someone motivate me to get rid of stuff. |

We were very happy with their services.
Description of Work: Cary helped me organize my garage, laundry room, kitchen, family room and sewing room. We are continuing to work our way through the house. Cary is just wonderful and the work goes so fast with her advice and assistance. I can hardly believe how organized my rooms are, and Cary's systems are easy to maintain. In the past, when I organized an area, things would quickly revert back to their disorganized state, but this time, the order is easy to maintain. My house feels much fresher and more peaceful than before!

I am very pleased with the performance I got in just a couple of hours. I can't believe how much she got done in just a couple hours. The job was too big for just a couple of hours so she will be back to finish the two rooms. I am so happy with the results and the skills of organizing a disaster!
Description of Work: I needed help in declutting a office and bedroom! I wasoverwhelmed with the clutter and had gotten flustrated in dealing with it.

I called Cary to help me organize my garage. She returned my call promptly and was available immediately to view my garage and do a consultation. She was very easy to talk to and extremely informative on how to optimally arrange my space. What i liked best was that she wasn't trying to sell me anything and helped me stay within a reasonable budget. She also is completely full service. She will do as little or as much as you need, I needed her help to get the shelves and rail system and it was not an issue. She accomodated me and my time frames. She was a pleasure to work with and I would not have had my garage look so good so quickly without her. I highly recommend her for any of your organizational needs.
Description of Work: I called Cary to help me organize my garage. I was getting over run with no organization, strollers, and stuff getting piled up on the floor.

We met with Cary first before introducing her to our mom. Our conversation helped us to get to know Cary and her methodology and we knew that we had found the perfect fit to work with Mom- someone who is compassionate and kind, and also energetic and decisive). We also realized during that first conversation with Cary that there are some things that family can't help other family with, and as much as we wanted to be the ones to help Mom regain control over her house, a professional option was really the better choice for us for long-term success of the organization AND health of our relationship. After introducing Mom to Cary, they set up their first organization session. My sisters and I had low expectations as Mom's house had been in a state of piles and build-up for some time, but to our surprise, Mom invited us over to her house to see the results after the session and our JAWS DROPPED. We had no idea that such significant results could be seen so soon! Within just a couple sessions, Mom's kitchen and bathroom came to a state of organization and functionality previously unknown. Soon following, the living room and bedroom and office became clear and usable. Best of all, Cary did this with Mom's buy-in and active participation! (I should mention that once we had snuck into Mom's house while she was away for a weekend and got the place "clear and usable" but it was not a long-term fix as a few months later it was back in its cluttered state without us really addressing Mom's needs in that "surprise" process). Cary helped Mom make decisions that honored the memories cherished within her house WHILE clearing up space for Mom to have people over again. Mom is so proud of her house and has her family over regularly, and has never felt like anything was thrown away or "lost" without her choice and decision (this had previously been a complaint against her daughters' help...)We continue to hire Cary on a regular basis for a few hours here and there to help Mom keep on top of things. Lest this report indicate that Cary only handles extreme cases, I also had Cary over for 2 hours to help me organize my home office after I had moved. I had several boxes of things I just didn't know what to do with- books, childhood art & memories, etc- that sat in unopened for months. Cary came over and helped me make decisions and set up my office in a way that held the things I want out and on display, and also still has space for me to do the activities I want to do in that room. I have never regretted a single decision I made from that organization session and feel great about my space and belongings. If I hadn't hired Cary, those boxes would likely still be there. Cary brings a TON of energy to each session. She helps direct her client's energy so that their decisions are engaged, then provides the legwork to plow through unfathomable amounts of clutter and belongings in a short amount of time. She brings tangible results quickly, yet her work still holds for the long-term. I happily recommend Cary to all of my friends, and my clients (I run a housecleaning company), and quote her sayings and encouragements on a regular basis!
