This was good service at a fair, if not inexpensive, price.

I called Bud Matthews to repair a four-year-old broken oven. They had an idea over the phone of what they thought was wrong (which they estimated as a $250 repair), and sent someone out right away to look at it. The technician then estimated the repair at $600-700, so I asked for the part numbers they thought it needed to see if any of them were still under warranty. When I called Kitchen Aid, I was told that the most expensive part number I had been given was actually for a different type of range. This seemed suspicious, so I decided to get a second opinion and called another appliance service person. The second person made a small adjustment on one part of the oven (without ordering any new parts, and the total repair cost was $65), and the oven now works fine. I am now stuck with a $126 bill from Bud Matthews for an incorrect diagnosis, but am at least glad I didn't let them do the larger repair.

Wonderful work as always. Timely, efficient and polite. I always use them.

First the garbage disposal stopped working and then the dishwasher wouldn't drain. Was worried that this was going to mean replacing (very old) dishwasher, but he diagnosed a problem with the garbage disposal right away. This necessitated a second visit to replace the garbage disposal, but now both are working perfectly, so I'm happy! Prompt attention and extremely professional service, would definitely use Bud Matthews again!

Horrible experience! They may be okay for small projects but the person who did the work for us couldn't handle the additional requested that we asked about. He should have said he didn't have the expertise to do what we requested. We had them enclose our screened in porch, remodel our deck, relocate our TV above the fireplace and basically put a hole in the wall and enclose it, etc. We also had them put put shelving and enclose the area where the TV originally was located. They had several issues getting the new ceiling in the sunroom straight and without any buckling. They said they had worked with the recycled plastic for the decking material and ended up installing it completely incorrectly (not even following the manufacturers recommendations on how to space the nails) and when we told them to remove it, they tried to charge us a restocking fee and the cost of some the materials they had used! Needless to say, we didn't pay that part. They also damaged the fieldstone on our hearth when they were working on TV relocation and didn't admit to doing it (very obvious that the corner was broken off) or offer to fix it/reimburse us. They had issues installing a ventilation system/fan behind the new shelving/enclosed glass and also the installation of the actual glass for the shelving. Overall, very dissatisfied with their work!

I use them all the time because they do a number of different things. They do repair kitchen appliances, and I had used them for refrigerator, water issues, and in fact just recently, we had one of our water tank heaters leak, and it is under the house, so, we did not realize it until we could not get water. We got four inches of water under the house. I called Bud Matthews, and the plumber was over here within an hour and started taking care of it, replaced the water heater, and took out the water. The new water heater cost $1,800 and $200-$300 the huge fans they brought in to dry out the area under the house. The water heater seemed a little expensive. It was great.

I had a rather specific appliance repair need. I have a Maytag Neptune washer - a discontinued appliance model - and the boot drain (door gasket) needed to be replaced. I had ordered the required part on my own many months earlier but needed it installed by a professional. Bud Matthews was one of the few businesses in the area that would service the Maytag Neptune. The workers arrived promptly, were professional and courteous, and worked efficiently. I thought the price was a bit high - $126.50 ($76.50 of which was a trip charge), but I am nevertheless pleased with the result.

Our two year old refrigerator died the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Bud Matthews sent a repairman out Monday night, even though their schedule was full. Unfortunately, it turned out that the coolant had leaked out. After several discussions (Bud Matthews was certain the sealed system should still be under warranty), he took the initiative to call all the major appliance companies and learned that new refrigerators only have a 1 year warranty on the sealed system. He called back and discussed our options (repair, replace the fridge, try a and quot;stop-leak) and the likelihood and cost of each. We tried the stop leak, but unfortunately the hole was too big, and we now have a new fridge and the extended service plan. But he did a good job, the prices were reasonable, and he was very up front and accurate about the relative costs and options. We'd call him again.

Have used Bud Matthews several times. This time they fixed our furnace. Great and professional. Would recommend.

This is the third time that I have used Bud Matthews Service, Inc, and I really love these guys. Two times I have scheduled services and their service man showed up exactly on time, and worked in a completely professional manner. One time I needed an emergency plumber on a weekend prior to a vacation, and a man came out within the hour. This visit was consistent with previous experience. I was able to schedule the appointment on the date and time that I wanted, and the serviceman showed up exactly on time. He was professional and able to diagnose the problem with my appliance within minutes. He provided a complete explanation of the issue, then proceeded to outline three different approaches to fixing it along with the fees for each. One of the items was and quot;we can try this inexpensive approach, and if it does not work well for you we can return and go to Option 1; the return visit will be covered by your 30-day guaranteeand quot;. I saw no way to lose by trying Option 2, and after three weeks everything is fine. My father was an outstanding electrical and mechanical wizard and I gained a fair amount of knowledge working with him growing up. These guys have my complete confidence in their technical expertise and their work ethic. A really outstanding group.

My neighbor had used Bud for her HVAC and recommended them. I called to have someone come out to give me a quote on a system replacement. Bud was away and I was told he would call to schedule when he retuned. After 2 weeks with no call I tried again. Bud was tied up and they would give him a message to call me. I also sent an email requesting an estimate. No one ever responded or called back. I moved on to another vendor. I guess thay did not need the business!

Re: the appliance repairs: Paul came on a couple of occasions to check out our cooktop and our washer. His opinion was right on target. The washer had a motor go, so instead of trying to sell me on an expensive repair, he suggested (due to the age of the machine) that I replace it. I appreciated his advice and honesty. He also repaired our cooktop. That took several trips since Jenn-Air did not send the correct part. He was diligent in his work. Re: the handyman work: Todd did fine work. One cannot even tell where the ceiling was repaired. The screen lattice took some time to do; he kept at it. It looks wonderful. He even created a door from one of the pieces so we can access the space under the porch with ease. Each item he worked on looks brand new. The shelf he made for the area between book cases looks like it came with the original shelves. We can't say enough about these two servicemen as well as the office staff at Bud Matthews Service. Everyone is patient, helpful, and informative. What a find they are!

They were very courteous and helpful. The estimate?was above my price range so I decided not to go with them. The serviceman was nice and competent and professional.

I thought the price was reasonable. I have used them in the past and they did a good job.

I have used them several times. The staff is completely professional. I am not concerned being alone in the house with the staff. They are a little pricey, but worth it.

Excellent work. A little on the pricey side especially including a trip charge.

They do pretty much anything, and they come promptly. My overall experience with them has been good. Their prices and quality of work are excellent. I would use their services again in the future.

I am just writing this review for previous experiences with Bud. I can not recount details now - I do know that he can fix just about anything and charges a reasonable price to do it.

Repairman arrived on time. Quickly realized the fan motor had to be replaced. Ordered new fan. Came back 5 days later and replaced the fan.

I was so pleased with the assistance. It would have been easy for him to tell me that I should replace the motor so that his income on the project would have been greater. Because of the honest assessment, I would absolutely call them again for help on other things around the house.

Their prices were fairly reasonable. The plumber that came out was very helpful and friendly. He came out to do what he had to do and did it. He could have made the minor repairs more completed than they were, but he didn't. He did a very good job for us.

It was excellent. They were the most knowledgable that I interviewed. They had a lot of experience. They purchased the right materials, completed the job, and only asked for payment after the job was completed to my satisfaction.

Actually, I liked them very much. What I like about that company is that they have a lot of different services that they provide. They have different people providing different services. I have used them for air conditioning repair, gen air stove repair by an electrician, and plumbing. I like the fact they do all kinds of things. I've been working with them now for years. They're reliable and do good quality work. They're not cheap. I would say I could probably find the services they provide cheaper elsewhere but I really trust them so I use them.
