Great response time for any problems after the sale. They replaced my roof in May. I had a small leak around an exhaust pipe that was dripping into a drip pan on the furnace. I emailed Jonathan Kennedy at 8:30 pm and he responded by 8:32pm. They were at my house the next morning before 8:30am and fixed the small leak around the exhaust boot and even did a little extra to make sure we would not have anymore problems with that exhaust pipe. Great people, very professional. I would recommend these guys for any roofing need to anyone I know or meet.

Purchased a home in need of a new roof. I checked Angie's List and called a few of the providers listed. I contacted On Tops Roofing and scheduled a time for an estimate on this job. Jonathan arrived on time and prepared the estimate and met with me. I found him to be very professional and open to all my questions about the job and the company. He spent a great deal of time explaining exactly what I could expect and the exact procedures that would be used. After he left, I did extensive online research on the products they wanted to use and the industry standard procedures. He was right on the mark about everything he said. I called later to schedule the job and we agreed on a date. When the day arrived, the crew showed up right on time, Jonathan was there to make sure the crew knew exactly what to do. They protected the house and greenery, removed the old roof, installed the new one, cleaned up and were gone by the end of the day. I haven't found a left over nail yet! Later that evening, Jonathan called and discussed the job, reminded me of their excellent warranty, and told me to contact him at any time in the future if I had any problems. In my opinion, the quality of the materials and workmanship on this job has been excellent and I would recommend On Tops Roofing to anyone needing this type of work. The price was competitive, the work was done professionally and completed on time. I feel as if I got an EXCELLENT value for my money!

We discussed what I wanted, he never went up on roof. When the salesman outlined the work they would do he stated pretty much every short cut my research said was a poor choice when re-roofing a house. Including planning on reusing skylight flashing and weaving the shingles in the valleys which the shingle manufacturer specifically indicated was not acceptable practice. Discussion with the manufacturer indicates that weaving doesn't specifically void the warranty, but weaving can cause the shingles to de-laminate prematurely and if that happened they wouldn't be responsible. This left me thinking that if they did de-laminate the roofing company and the manufacturer could then play "not our fault" games while leaving me holding the bag. While their price was very attractive (4000 under next closest bid) it was clear that they got that price via short cuts.

They did excellent work. Chris was very professional and explained the proposal and answered all of my questions and emails. The crew was on time, did great work and cleaned up the site afterwards. Our bathroom vent is a little different but the supervisor made sure it was installed properly. They installed a ridge vent on the house and we have noticed that it helps keep the house cooler. Our air conditioner does not run as much as it used to. Very pleased with how the new roof updates the look of our house. We highly recommend them.

It is a normal sized house. They did excellent work. Their employees were very professional, did a great job and really went out of their way to make sure that the job was done properly. It was a friend's referral years ago. They were all business, all work. As a matter of fact, I have referred them to a dozen people or more since they did my roofing.

Chris was very professional and answered all of my questions and calls. The crew that did the work was on time and completed the work as promised. I will recommend to my neighbors and friends.

Very good service and work. Very easy to get a hold of and on time when doing the work. A few years ago we had another leak in a different part of the roof and after several others tried to repair it without success, On Tops Roofing came and they were able to find the problem and fix it right away. That is why we hired them this time. Their estimate for the job was very much in line with others.

Let me start by saying that the workers and supervisor were good, hard working people. They were corteous and very helpful. It was the salesman who was the reason for the average rating. Except for answering questions that I had to constantly initiate (and not that well mind you), he literally did nothing for me before, during, or after the project. So, for example, the question regarding quality, how would I know if the job was done well? I see that I have a nice new roof, but, I have no idea if things were done correctly. You see, I'm not a roofing expert and I don't know if what they did was quality work because the salesman never once came by to explain things to me. He never gave me a brochure or a web site that explained these things. I had to read and figure things out on my own the whole way. He did schedule me in quickly, but that doesn't make up for everything else he failed to do. The information on the internet only goes so far. I don't know all the questions to ask! In our attic, for instance, we have spray foam insulation. Since he never came out to the house, he didn't know that. I had to take it upon myself to realize that maybe this type of thing required different handling when replacing a roof. It turns out that it does. But, I had to go back and forth with him a few times on the phone and, I believe, via email to make sure they treated this correctly. Never mind that he should have understood these things without me having to prove it to him. I then decided to call the people who put in the insulation to back me up because he wasn't convinced what I was saying had merit. The insulation person told me to tell the salesman to call him up to explain the situation. THEN, he relented and treated the issue as I had asked him. Throughout the whole situation, he never came by to see me or check how things were going. It wasn't until after the work was done and I'd had enough that he said that IF I wanted he would MAKE AN APPOINTMENT to come see me. What? An appointment?!? After all that? The only reason I went with them was because of their high ratings on Angie's List. If I'd known the kind of treatment I would get I would have gone with someone else.

Chris was punctual in coming out to make review what needed t be done and provded a quote as scheduled. The roofing job was done with a few minor issues which Chris arranged to have resolved in a very short period of time at their expense. We have had the roof done over 1 1/2 years ago and there have been no issues with it and it looks great. Based on the quality of work and the great customer service I would definitely recommend On Tops Roofing to anyone looking to get a high quality roofing job completed knowing that they live up to their word in customer service.

This summer On Tops Roofing removed my old roof and installed a new roof. The whole process occurred as expected. The ripoff and installation crews were busy and polite. They took care to cover everything properly. My new roof, looking great and strait, was the only thing left behind at the end of the day. I would recommend these guys to my boss and neighbors. The money was well spent.

They were pretty good. They were high but they came out right away. I've used them twice now. We called them and they had their guy came out here that day or the next day. The second time was last winter when we had a hurricane wind come through; it blew the shingles up and they came back to fix it. He was older; he is not like the younger generation that you could joke around a little bit but he is very professional and very well done. I don't have any roof problems.

Very VERY nice job!!! Arrived at the scheduled time, and finished on time (even with showers that showed up unannounced) Removed old shingles down to the sheathing, and replaced two rotted pieces of sheathing. Installed new felt, and beautiful architectural shingles, with new ridge vent and three additional roof vents. Upon completion of the job, went around the house several times picking up after themselves, and rand a magnet over the ground around the perimeter of the house to pick up loose nails. They did this twice. Nothing to be found by me afterward. When the man arrived to pick up the refuse container the next day, he also ran a magnet over the driveway to make sure nothing was left behind to damage my vehicles.

Chris, Juan, the crew, the shingles, and the dumpster arrived exactly on time the day of the job! Since when does any contractor arrive exactly as scheduled? By 730 AM the crew was hard at work removing the old roof and then hand nailing the new one. The job was done by 130 PM and yard cleaned up and crew gone by 2 PM. We couldn't be more pleased with the punctuality, quality, and professionalism of this company! We have even referred my parents and their neighbor. The entire process with Chris and his crew was pleasant and professional. Office staff was a pleasure, on the phone. I would highly recommend On Tops Roofing!

Chris with On Tops Roofing came to our house to meet with us and provided some addresses where we could see what the colors of shingles look on other houses. We went with Pewter Grey which looks great on a white or ivory house. We wanted Shale but looks green on a white house. The contractors are strapped to the roof to prevent falling. They have someone standing at the bottom of the roof to catch shingles as they are removed to keep them from falling and hitting the siding. I do think they should incorporate using tarp in addition to catching the shingles. They did damage some wood on the dormer to remove the flashing. The wood was rotting and they did replace it. The wood that was damaged in several other places due to the wood rotting was also replaced and repaired. The repair work was done well. My gate had some marks in it from hauling the shingles around the back on the wheelbarrow. They cleaned up the gate. They went around with a magnet and picked up the nails and other trash that was on the ground due to the roof being removed. They were careful not to ruin my wife's garden that is around one side of the shed. They came back out and painted some flashing that stuck out due to the nature of the siding and used the paint I had to match the house. They also repaired some damaged siding above the bay window due to replacing the flashing. All the repair work was done well and I will speak well of this contractor. They are careful to not damage your house and did fix the way some shingles were laying because of a ladder that was against the house during the finishing up work. One guy saw these shingles and crawled back up the ladder to flatten out the shingles so they look nice. I loved it! They are fast and do work well as a team. I do think the damage that occurred could have been prevented if the job had been done in two days instead of one. Sometimes fast is not always best. All-in-all, I love our new roof and it looks great!

I originally was looking for someone to do a roof repair around some skylights that were leaking. I was having trouble getting companies to come out and give me estimates since it was just a repair. On Tops Roofing had no trouble coming to give me a quote. As it turned out I decided to get a new roof . They came on time for both the estimate and on the day of the new roof. They completed it faster than expected and cleaned up everything. They also at no extra charge did a small repair on my shed roof. Their was a mix up with me receiving the bill and instead of them being angry at my lack of payment, they called to make sure I was ok.

Very polite and professional. Showed up on time. Did great work. Accepted the Angie's List Coupon and we saved $50.00. Would definitely use them again.

The process went smoothly. A rep came within 2 days of our initial call to inspect the job. Chris contacted us a few days later and setup an appointment to talk about the work. We had a day set up immediately. Both my husband and I were not at home for the installation but when we returned home all looked great. The only way to really know how good a roof job is to have a few good storms to test it. I have every confidence that it will be fine.

We are very satisfied with On Tops Roofing, and highly recommend Jonathan, Austin and their crew. We interviewed four contractors before selecting On Tops to install our new roof and gutters. On Tops was competitively priced and highly rated, and their workmanship warranty (15 years) was a compelling factor in our decision. The On Tops crew arrived early on the scheduled day and immediately set about protecting the shrubs, HVAC, etc. around the house, and then took down the old roof in no time. As previously negotiated, one member of the team carefully removed a piece of the existing plywood and thoroughly cleaned out a birds nest under the roof. He was then able to reuse the plywood, and reset and sealed the original brick that had been pushed in by the bird. The gentleman treated the whole process like it was his own house, and I was very happy to cross that item off the to-do list! The team then professionally installed the new roof, using the materials that had been agreed-upon. Austin was on-site the entire day, and took time to explain the process and any concerns we had during the installation. When the crew completed the roof later that day, they did a very thorough job of cleaning up and sweeping the property for loose nails. On Tops used a different crew for the gutter installation. Due to the weather and my schedule, we had to wait a few weeks after the roof was finished to have the old gutters removed and the new ones installed. The gutter installation crew was punctual, polite and did a good job (including painting and installing a rain diverter around a challenging window box), but weren't equipped with the same magnetic sweepers as the roofing crew had been. While I understood their cleanup couldn't be 100% thorough without those tools, I was disappointed that they forgot or chose not to sweep the driveway of nails before leaving for the day. Fortunately, I noticed this and was able to sweep off several nails in the driveway myself, thereby avoiding a flat tire. When later informed of this concern, Jonathan apologized and scheduled a time at my convenience for him and his crew to come back out and carefully re-sweep the entire area with their magnets. I was a bit frustrated by the original incident, but am completely satisfied with how Jonathan quickly addressed the issue. We're very happy we chose On Tops to install our roof, and would make the same decision if we had it to do again. They answered all of our questions before, during and after installation, and were very easy to work with (including rescheduling a few times due to whether). Thanks, On Tops!

theywere very careful of my plants around the house , were extremely courteous and professional. Did a nice job with clean up. One caveatte, make sure you cover whatever is in the attic with sheets or similiar as there was alot of debris which had fallen down on all on our belongiings stored up there.

Experience went well. No hard sell on front-end. Concise and directed proposal process. Willing to negotiate on price. Project was done quickly and as described by the primary representative. Crew cleaned up well. No damage to the house during the process. Project started at 8am and finished by 1:30 on 2000 sq. ft, two-story house. Touch-up work was independently noticed by secondary inspector who came out later in the day to ensure quality.

I couldn't be happier with On Tops Roofing! They were prompt, courteous, and professional. The materials used are top quality (not just the shingles, but also the stuff you can't see--underlayment, etc.) and price quoted was very reasonable, in fact was the same or less than others who use inferior materials. The roofs were replaced in one day, as they brought in a large, hardworking crew to get the job done. I just received my invoice for the work today, and it was exactly what the original quote was for, even though they uncovered more water damage on the garage than expected. On Tops Roofing is a first-rate business, they do a fantastic job, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone without reservation. No joke.

Prompt, professional, efficient

It was great! They did an excellent and expedient job with the installation. However, we noticed that some of the shingles weren't laying properly and called On Tops back to the house. They agreed that the shingles didn't look right and removed some for samples. It was later determined that the shingles were, indeed, defective so they completely stripped the roof again and replaced all of the shingles at no cost to us. Ultimately, they were highly responsive and professional, and they did good work for a fair price.
