Description of Work: We contacted Metcalf to obtain an estimate for the exterior painting of our home. They have done a few homes in our neighborhood and we liked the work they'd done. Unfortunately, when contacting them to schedule an estimate found that they only do estimates Mon-Fri 8:30-4:30. There was no flexibility/interest in considering any other times (i.e. early evening (5:00) or weekend estimate). Very disappointing considering we're a household of individuals who work full time. Even if they offered estimate 'hours' one evening a week or one weekend a month would seem to go a long way in obtaining future clients. We've removed them from consideration, and rather than sharing the positives we heard (why they were initially added to our list), will be sharing our disappointing experience.

Description of Work: Very good....professional and very responsive to items I pointed out or wanted to change. The workers were very friendly, courteous and punctual. Note, price includes an upgrade from SW Superpaint to SW Duration.

Description of Work: We had the whole house re-painted and the deck primed and re-stained. We also had several areas of rotted wood replaced. Metcalf also replaced our rotted wooden porch railings with PVC railings. Front porch furniture primed and re-painted. They were on time and did a great job!

Description of Work: Painted interior walls and ceilings of large home. Absolutely no complaints. Fully satisfied. House cleaning was provided at the conclusion of job. A very nice plus.

Description of Work: Replaced rotten wood and Painted the trim and exterior of our 2 story home. Scraped off deck and applied stain. We were very pleased with the service we received. The painters were very polite and respectful. Eric was fantastic, he was very responsive to my many questions and gave me great advice on What was best for our home.I would definitely use Metcalf again!

Description of Work: They were wonderful at first with working to squeeze us in and get the painting done before some other work we were having done in our house. The painting was fine but we had some possible issues with the workers from their crew or the other crew in our house. Unfortunately Metcalf didn't respond well to our concerns and the other company did and took care of the overall issue. For their lack of responsiveness to our issue I will not use them again.

Description of Work: We had Metcalf Painting paint the exterior of our home. They also stained our front porch, painted the front door and porch railings as well as the garage door. They did an awesome job. The crew was on-time every day and worked well past "quitting time". I would happily hire them again!

Description of Work: We used Metcalf painters for work inside and outside the house (approx 3400 sq ft). For the interior they painted with Sherwin Williams paint upstairs and downstairs hallways which included: 2 sets of stairways, 14 doors, the trim work and they applied several coats of a high gloss paint onto 2 sets of banisters and 2 sets of railings. Outside they powerwashed and painted the 3-sides of the wood/fiber cement part of the house and all trim work including 2 car garage and 3 doors. Superior work to anything or any painter we've had in the past. The BEST!

Description of Work: Painted two bedrooms, including the ceiling, walls, doors and trim. I did receive a quote from another company that was a little cheaper, but I felt more confident in the organization and response time from Metcalf. We did a walkthrough at the end and they quickly addressed just a couple very minor things that my picky self pointed out. The end result came out great and it was nice to have the work done in less than two days.

Description of Work: They caulked all needed spots and painted five rooms. They did a good job of prepping and cleaning up. I would certainly use them again. In 2006 they painted the out side of my house and did a great job.

Description of Work: Repaired & replaced many areas on exterior of house (cedar siding), power washed and painted, stained all including my decking (front and back). This is an excellent company to work with from the owners to the workmen. Very professional, pleasant to work with and customer focused! Highly recommend them. This is the second time I have used them and I will again. They are reliable, prompt, clean up site each day before they leave and made sure I was happy at the end of the job. They also kept me abreast when they found additional repairs both of us did not see initially and made sure they had my approval before proceeding so there were no surprises when it came time to pay at end of job! I have also received many compliments from friends and neighbors on their work.

Description of Work: Painted entire exterior including doors, porch, trim, etc. Repaired wood rot in a few places. They were all great. Spent much of the time with prep, tape, washing, removing dirt, old paint, etc. They cleaned up after and did a super job all in all. I got three estimates and theirs was compatible with the lowest estimate I received. I would use them again and have recommend them to others.

Description of Work: Don and his crew painted interior walls and trim. This included finishing walls, caulking new trim, putting primer on new trim and painting walls and trim. Don also helped us with colors. He gave us his unbiased opinion on the colors we had chosen. He was also willing to make changes as we saw rooms get finished. He also did his own walk through to make sure that his crew had done a good job before we did a final walk through.

Description of Work: Painted bonus room, bathroom. Removed wallpaper and painted in kitchen/dining room.
