They were very nice and professional. He came over and took a detailed look at the house. I liked everything about except when it came to the very end and I was trying to make sure I was comparing apples to apples. I wanted to use the Sherwin Williams Endurance paint which is number one tested by Consumer Reports but they said if I insisted on using that they could not warranty it for five years. The company I ended up using did want to use the Endurance paint, which is more expensive, and they also had the best price.

They did a very professional job making sure everything was covered and they are skilled at complete coverage without drips or misses. This was the fourth time we've used them. I'm sure we could find someone cheaper, but you get what you pay for.

Price was good. Process was good, UNTIL we had a problem. We noticed that the glass top of our range/over was broken subsequent to the work. The glass was not broken before the work. Metcalf denied that the workers broke the glass, and even worse, implied that we were just saying that they did to get Metcalf to pay for the fix! Definitely would not recommend Metcalf for any work. We had used another vendor for our upstairs popocorn ceinling removal but gave Metcalf a shot because of price - mistake!!!

They were there about a day and a half. I liked the professional of the salesperson/part owner. I liked the explanation of the pricing. I like the preparation, application and cleanup. The crew was accommodating. They did a thorough walk through once the job was complete to make sure I was completely satisfied and there were no flaws. They had found things I had not seen.

The team arrived on-time ready to work as discussed and planned . Prior to prepping the walls for painting, all furniture was moved away from the walls and moved to the center of the room. The furniture was then covered with sheets of plastic; rugs were rolled and covered; and all other items were removed from the painting areas. The hardwood floors were covered with painting tarps, all kitchen appliances were carefully wrapped in plastic to ensure they were not exposed to paint droplets. While we have used other painters in the past, Metcalf takes the time to quality inspect their work to ensure that it meets there own quality requirements before they parented their work as final to the customer. Once the painting was completed and we accepted the work as satisfactory, the rooms were cleaned, furniture was put back in place, hardwood floors were dust mopped and damp mopped. Once cleaned a ready for final inspection, all work tools were removed and cleared from the area. The team worked hard and was careful to ensure to keep us informed of their work plan for each day ( what will be done, and when they expect to complete. They were very precise in their plan and work schedule and kept their commitments to complete the painting on time and as scheduled. The work was completed within two days with exceptional quality. Both my wife and I are pleased with the work , quality of service, commitment to customer satisfaction, and respect for the customers time and personal space. Metcalf Painting provided the best service and quality.

Metcalf estimator was prompt, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout, and their bid for painting whole house (inside and out) was lower than others. Work, including some carpentry, was done on time. Workers were curteous, careful, very good painters. I recommend highly.

This was a very nice job. Steven West assisted us with paint type selections and color suggestions. Also, suggestions as how to handle the front exterior door job. It was a fiberglass stained door which continually would fade. So we went with a paint instead. Painters very professional and hard working. Quality of painting very good. Only callback was for the front door as it seemed that new coat(s) did not completely cover the original door color. An additional coat was applied and it looks great now.

We got several estimates and chose them. Their service was great.

He does great work. He is very personable. His workers are great, they work hard every day. They do not take breaks or fool around. They are neat, tidy and clean up after themselves.

Metcalf was extremely polite and professional from the original visit to provide an estimate to the completion of the job. Our house was in dire need of an exterior repainting and also had several areas of wood rot that needed repair. The crew did an excellent job in replacing and repairing the areas of wood rot, matching the existing wood patterns and textures perfectly. They painted the entire exterior of the house, window sills, shutters, and garage door. Our 20 year old house looks brand new now! They even sanded and put a nice stain on our wood front door, so it also now looks like new. They completed the job in a timely fashion and yet didn't leave any details out or cut any corners. The price was very fair and the service excellent. Their crew even helped my wife get her car out of the mud when she got stuck parking in the grass while they were here painting the house. I'll definitely use Metcalf for other work in the future and would highly recommend them. I can't say enough good things about them. Thanks!!!

I worked with Steven West for this work and he and his crew were fantastic. Steven was very prompt and responsive with the initial estimate. He explained everything they would be doing and answered any questions I had. He was also very accommodating when my wife and I changed the scope of the work 2-3 times on him. These were increases in scope and before they had started work, so not exactly surprising they went along with it, but still he was very responsive each time I emailed him. The actual work was terrific and I still haven't found a single drip of paint anywhere it wasn't supposed to be. I came by the house twice while the crew were working for unrelated reasons. The crew were always very nice and seemed to be working with great care. Steven did a final walk through with us afterward and everything was great.

Outstanding quality, fantastic personnel working for Mr Metcalf (i.e., the whole crew was prompt, polite, very hardworking, and patient with my young family).

They did a wonderful job. The paint was smooth and consistent and the trim was all sharp and clean. We were extremely pleased with the quality and professionalism and would highly recommend Metcalf Painting.

I dealt with Eric. Eric was very professional and punctual. Eric provided the estimation and helped with the color selection also. The staffs were well-trained, took care of small details of fixing the walls. Work started in-time. Staff put extra time to finish the work in time. Eric was checking in-between and making sure that work is getting done in-time and with good quality. I called Eric one week later to fix one some area, which needed retouch, staff came and fixed it also. Overall I am very happy with the quality of the work and I highly recommend to anybody looking for indoor painting.

The work was excellent, almost flawless. The interior walls were patched and sanded very well. Even using an light incident (parallel) to the wall, it is almost impossible to see imperfections. A ceiling was patched and painted. Outside, the painting was very nice. There was one area that required some touchup on the walkthrough, but this was done very promptly. Basic steps like waiting a few days after powerwashing before painting, or for primer to fully dry, not paining when it is too cold or humid, were all followed. I think this will make a difference in the long term performance of the coatings.

Eric met me at my home for the esitmate. I pointed out areas that would need additional work, ie. nail pops, dry wall tape repair, etc. He told me the job would take 3 days. He got back with me the next day with the estimate and the job was started two days later. The work was completed on time and within budget. The painters were professional and on time. I would not hesitate to call them again.

Craig was recommended by a neighbor who is picky. I knew that if he had done work for them, then he must be good. We hired him to paint the entire interior of our house. His team showed up every morning, bright and early, and worked long, hard days. Everything we asked for, they did. They fixed all walls before painting, and noticed the littlest imperfections. Needless to say, we were very pleased, and will gladly call them again.

They were easy to contact and schedule an estimate. Mike did a great job explaining what the job would entail, how long it would take, and their warranty. All jobs were finished on and on budget. I highly recommend them.

Craig Metcalf is the owner. They were professional and prompt. They responded very quickly and communicated online with me. They sent me an estimate very quickly and it was reasonable. They said the work would take 3 days and it took 3 days. They were neat, kind, professional and cleaned up when they left. They were great and I recommended them to my brother.

Craig came out to give me an estimate for painting the whole house. Once he looked at the house he recommended it be powerwashed and and the woodrot repaired and just those areas painted, which was quite a bit less than painting the whole house. We went with that and it looks great. The carpenters did a great job as well as the painters. I will be calling on Metcalf for all my painting needs from now on and recommend him to all my neighbors. Great company!!

They were on time for both the estimate and the actual job itself. Work was completed in a timely manner and we were happy with the quality. Most importantly, the price was fair and I didn't feel like they were trying to take advantage of me. Another quote we received was more than double. We would definitely hire them again.

They did an amazing job because it was hard. The people that had put the wallpaper up did not prep the walls and it was not an easy job. They worked really hard at it. They got it all off. The walls look great. I was afraid that the walls would look uneven and damaged and you can't tell. They did a great job and I would recommend them. They were reasonably priced for the amount of work they had to do. They came back for touch up in the bathroom.

Overall experience was excellent. Estimate was given in a timely manner. Crew arrived on time and were very professional. Paint job looked perfect upon completion. Chose them based on Angie?s List reviews and I would definitely use them again. Pricing was competitive as well.
