+ 0 moreTriple shredded hardwood mulch was full of trash including landscaping rock, shredded plastics from pieces of mesh bags, ziplock bags, bottle caps, etc., shredded food wrappers, and even shredded pieces of aluminum cans. My dogs run on my paths and to this day, 10 months later, I daily walk the paths to pick up jagged rock, plastics and metal that work their way to the top and could cut the paw of a running dog. It is also unsightly. Lawn and Order took no responsibility for their trash filled mulch, no offer of anything, not even willing to come back and take a look at what I described over the phone and in a letter.

We have a fairly small yard, and they invoice us about $180/month. They come every other week to cut the grass, edge, fertilize, etc. They also look after our bushes, and remove leaves. I would highly recommend the service!

+ 1 moreThe services weren't bad at all but their billing is atrocious. You never knew what you owed, when they serviced you, what was paid. Just felt very unprofessional the way they handled their accounting practices. Since I left them I see they have changed some things so I must not have been the only one complaining. Their work was good don't get me wrong I don't mean to bad mouth their business, just couldn't work with their billing services.

+ 1 moreI started using Lawn and Order about even or eight years ago after several failed attempts with other similar providers. Since then they have maintained my lawn, handing mowing, seeding, etc, blown hard surfaces off, kept the shrubs trimmed several times a year, etc. I have a large, landscaped yard and there is a lot of work to be done. They have done a fantastic job. They are always responsive and helpful and seek to solve any requests I might have (including politely handling requests from my dad when he is in town, when in some cases his requests probably fall outside their mandate). I would unequivocally recommend.

The proprietor, Joe Bailey, has been very responsive every time I've needed extra services, such as purchasing and putting down topsoil prior to reseeding. Their monthly fee is reasonable for the comprehensive services they've provided. I highly recommend them.

+ 0 moreI originally thought that the price seemed higher than the norm for the mow, edge, blow...until the guys came and took care of weeds growing out of sidewalks, blew leaves to the curb and spot treated areas with Roundup. My original intention was to hire them for when we were out of town or out after a surgery...but we used them all summer. They can do anything with the yard....overseed and aerate, fertilize, treat for weeds, etc.

+ -1 moreDid a fine job, but left a bunch of weeds in the backyard. I emailed them and they responded saying the weeds would die off. I responded with pictures of large weeds that never died and they simply ignored me. Our yard looked decent for a few days but definitely wasn’t worth the money. I would probably hire them again to get rid of leaves, but nothing more than that.

+ -1 moreJoe was great to work with and very responsive. He provided us with pictures of his recommended new plants and gave the name of a nursery we could visit to view. Once we made all our decisions he confirmed the date that the work would be performed. He and his crew arrived on time and he walked through everything we were doing to make sure we were all on same page. He had a large experienced crew and work went smoothly and quickly. At completion we had a walk through to ensure everything was complete and we were happy. He provided instructions on caring for the new plants over the next several weeks.
Description of Work: We were adding 5 plants in our back yard and adding new pine straw to entire backyard. Also under our elevated deck and screen porch we added a barrier and edging and installed 5 tons of crushed rock to prevent erosion. They also installed a flagstone walk from our back deck to driveway. In the front yard at the street they removed juniper from both sides of driveway and replaced with mulch. They added topsoil to the sides of our driveway to make even with lawn. They also dug out the root system of a tree to had removed and filled hole with topsoil and covered with mulch. They pruned 7 bushes in front of house. They also removed three large and four small bushes from in front of porch and replaced with new shrubs and azaleas. They also added new pine straw in front natural area.

They even left the perfect amount of extra grass seed in a bag for addressing spots needing additional attention through no fault of their own (an irrigation issue I had to address.) I also used this company for past year for lawn treatment. I’ve been very happy with the weed control and fertilization. I opted for additional control of fungal prevention. Major reduction in brown patches and mushrooms in my lawn. I’m going to continue to work with them. I mow my own lawn.

Description of Work: I initially contacted them for weed control only. Their initial application did not get rid of weeds so they had to come back and apply stronger chemical. Unfortunately, it also killed the grass in the infected areas (I knew this going in). I have also retained them to do the aerating and over seeding of yard and to bring in top soil for bare areas. All in all, they are very professional but in my estimation, very expensive for year round service.

+ 3 moreWe couldn't have asked for a better lawn service company. Joe, the owner, is the most honest and caring person you could find. He was always very prompt in replying to any phone calls or emails. If there would ever be a problem, he would come and fix it immediately. He certainly always went above and beyond to help us out. His crew was always very courteous and respectful. We couldn't have been happier.
Description of Work: Lawn and Order has taken care of our lawn the past few years. They did weekly mows, fertilized, weed and disease treatments, pruning, fall cleanup, etc. They did it all and we couldn't be happier. We have moved out of the area and certainly miss the care they provided.
