Description of Work: James Taylor Construction (specifically Bryan Sepich) replaced the roof on my house. They fixed some pieces of the decking and installed the paper and architectural shingles for our roof. I COULD NOT BE MORE SATISFIED with the job they did. Bryan and his crew gave me a fair estimate, did not try and sell me more than what I needed, and delivered what they promised. One of the things I liked most is that he was in constant communication with me to make sure I was satisfied with the job performed. I could not be happier with the job they did and HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to anyone looking to get work done on their roof.

Description of Work: Replaced the roof and several boards. It was just okay. They need to come back and repair the gutter they damaged. I would use them again, only if I was there to supervise the entire time.

Description of Work: He was on time, and very nice. He assessed my roof and provided me a quote. I will definitely be using James Taylor to replace my roof.

Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal for a $505 Deposit for a New Roof. It has been great. The job is almost complete and the only thing left is the final walk-through. We are very happy and everything has been fine.

Description of Work: On April 11, 2014, James Taylor himself responded to my Angie's List request for a quote to replace my roof. As he left my house, he took my email address (he already had my phone number) and told me that he would send a quote (along with insurance and other information) directly. | |On April 15th, I received the following email from Angie's List: | |"Hi Lawrence Johnson, |Lawrence, It was a pleasure to meet you last week. Because of your proximity and the small size of the project we have decided not to offer a quote. Thank You for meeting with us and good luck. |Thanks, |James Taylor Construction" | |It appears that James told me one thing....changed his mind....and tried to cover himself (said politely) by telling me via Angie's List rather than directly by phone or email.

Description of Work: They replaced gutters and downspouts. In summary, the communication to schedule and plan the job was not a strength--more emails/phone calls than needed and a bit slow response and difficulty in nailing down the time to get a "A". The installation crew did a great job and addressed my need for some customization to accomodate rainbarrels.

Description of Work: Didn't show up to check out my needs on the day he said he would. Didn't call either. I then called Mr. Taylor, and he came out the following day. He said he was very busy, but said he would be able to do the work in about 2 or 3 weeks. I said OK. After 8 weeks of no contact, I sent emails to his partner and also his company website asking them to call my cell number. Still no response!! I give up. I want my $249 refunded. William Bauer

Description of Work: We bought the Angie's List deal for a new 30-year architectural roof, with the old removed and patched. We paid some on top of the deal, due to the size of our roof and that we asked for a new ridge vent system. But we knew the cost after the estimate, which still proved to be a good value. | |The roof looks great, as do the vents. They arrived before 8am on the designated day and were done before 6pm. Bryan came and inspected it again the next morning, even picking up a couple missed nails and scraps. As with any outdoor work, we had to reschedule with the wet weather, but I preferred the roof be put up when it could be done well. I would use them agian.

Description of Work: I received an initial response from the provider via the Angie's List message system on July 23. The provider stated that someone would come by my home some time by July 27 to review the job and that the work would be scheduled for July 31. I sent a reply with directions to my home due to my home being new and not on any GPS/map systems. I also asked if I needed to be home for the initial visit/review. I received no response to my message. Nobody came by my home for the review by July 27 (that I am aware of), and no work was scheduled for or performed on July 31. I then called the provider (Mr. Woody) on August 1 for some type of update as to what was going on. He did not answer his phone, and I received voice mail. I left a message, mentioned what his message had stated about the schedule, that nobody had come by the house and no work had been performed, and asked that he call me to let me know what was going on. It is now August 5, and I still have received absolutely no email or phone call in response to my inquiries. It only takes a few seconds to send a quick email or make a quick call to say "Sorry we're a little swamped" or let the customer know whatever is going on, and due to the lack of response of any type I am no longer interested in doing business with James Taylor Construction/Ed Woody.

Description of Work: What a great service. Paul and Scott came and reviewed the job with us. They went from room to room reviewing our needs and making recommendations. Then they performed the work in a timely manner. We have had the opportunity to deal with many service individuals in our 19 years at this residence. We have never had service like the two of them provided. Thanks for your recommendation.
