Description of Work: They replaced our shingle roof. They were by far the cheapest quote, including other companies with Angie's List deals. The quality of the materials and work was very good. There was virtually no litter around the house after they left and so far I've found all of one loose nail on our back deck. They did break one flood light bulb which was promptly replaced. Also when the material was delivered the day before it was the wrong make and color of shingle but this was the distributor's fault. They were able to bring the correct shingle the next day and still finished in good time. My only criticism was they did not respond to many emails and phone messages. Having said that they did communicate essential details so to me this is not a huge negative but I would have preferred a little more responsiveness. I will have them quote some siding repair that I'll have to tackle next year.

I gave a ding on this review for responsiveness since they were so booked up for the summer, I had to schedule the work to be done a month in advance. Overall though, I'm happy with the work and I'd recommend them to my friends.

Description of Work: made and installed shades. Prompt response, but they were overwhelmed by the Angie's List response to their special, so they had many more orders than anticipated. They measured our windows on May 11, and because of the overwhelming response, they did not have the shades ready before we headed out of town for three weeks. That said, they were prompt in responding to setting up a time when we returned so they could install the shades. The shades were perfect, and the installation went quickly and without any hitch. Very professional.

Description of Work: On May 13, 2015 Kevin Beddingfield measured two dining room windows (nook) and porch door for custom blinds. I was replacing 1 in metal blinds. He returned on June 24 to install the new hardware and blinds. Both measurement and installation was handled efficiently and professionally. The 2 inch "wood-like" blinds are very attractive and have opened up the area. I am very pleased. I think this was a great deal.

Description of Work: I liked their work. They came and replaced my roof, all in one day, and it looks wonderful. I would have to say that my only complaint with them is in communications. They do seem to have a problem with that. All the way through the process, it was hard to know what was going on. In fact, I was surprised on the day they did show up. | |As part of this, I would probably not go through Angie's list on their big deals anymore. Because of the trouble with getting James Taylor to respond, I contacted Angie's list only to find out that it was beyond the time for a refund. Dealing with contractors, in normal course of events, it often takes longer that 30 days to actually have things happen but Angie's list won't refund your money after 30 days. They took it almost immediately, but they won't give it back. Major complaint with Angie's list.... | |In the end, all turned out well, I have a nice roof, for a reasonable price. I would use James Taylor again. Just not through Angie's list big deals.

Description of Work: Job went well. Price was a little high because of the oddities of our roof and parts required a flat roof which we went with tin - a nice touch. We also had an area where water was not draining properly and they voluntarily built it up so water would flow. The gutter and light got damaged, but was immediately fixed. Punch list was corrected in timely manner.

Description of Work: Complete tear off and new construction shingles. Very fast clean job. They did an excellent job! Bryan was very personable and easy to do business with.
