Description of Work: We purchased blinds for (2) garages and screen porch. Blinds for screen porch had to be special ordered so there was some delay in getting the job completed but the blinds are wonderful and Kevin did a great job in getting them hung.

Description of Work: This company did an excellent job putting new shingles on the house. All the old shingles were removed. It was done in one day. They did a wonderful job cleaning up their mess and especially, getting up all the nails with a magnet.

Description of Work: |Replaced 6 window blinds. The work was excellent but the cost was quite expensive.

Description of Work: They put on a new architectural roof. They did good work, were quiet, and cleaned up after themselves. The price was good too.

Description of Work: The work was performed in a good manner, leaving no leftovers or removed pieces. |If I have any criticism, it would be it took awhile to get the job done from the time we approved it. In fairness to the company, this all took place almost immediately after the really bad storms we had, causing a limb to fall, hitting the roof. The good news is, we didn't have any leaks, and were okay with waiting until they cleared some serious damage jobs.

Description of Work: I think the roof is OK. It did not leak in the summer's heavy rains, looks fine and was competitively priced. That said, I was disappointed in the overall interaction. | |I would consider using them again but would discuss the negatives below in advance and not pay until all were satisfactorily addressed. | |The positives first - |- They were responsive to email and answered my questions quickly and clearly. |- The workmanship overall seems fine and the workers competent. |- The team was punctual and pleasant. |- The final trim guy seems to do especially fine work. |- The gutter guys also seemed good. | |Now the negatives - |Poor cleanup, failure to honor verbal commitments, billing issues, other oddities. Details follow. | |Poor cleanup |- They left a lot of shingle remnants in my gutters. The gutters clogged in the big rains and massively overflowed. I now have wall cracking near one of the overflow areas and the overflow may have caused it. After the rain I had to pull shingles out of the downpipe with a plumbers snake. |- We found nails on the ground for weeks, especially at the back of the house. |- The attic fan control box was disassembled and left that way. The screws are missing. | |Failure to honor verbal commitments. |- There was a plywood sheet with water marks that I requested be replaced that was not. I assume they skipped it because it had no significant rot and the attic fan is mounted in it so the sheet would have been troublesome to replace. I was OK with that with one caveat - the foreman verbally committed to providing a document for resale purposes stating that the sheet was fine. He did not do so. |- I was told that in the event of rain a large tarp would be pulled over the work. It rained and there was no tarp. They "left it at another job site". We got lucky and the rain was minor, but they were not prepared for rain as they had said they would be. | |Billing issues |- I am 90% certain that there was an error in the number of plywood sheets billed. Probably 3 were used, maybe 4, not 6. I was there for the whole thing and even requested some replacements that were not done. |- The initial bill did not consider the Angie's List prepayment. This is not a big deal and was corrected upon notification. | |Oddities |- Installation of the ridge vent was done by nailing through thin plastic vs. thick molded holes. It's not my area of expertise and they said it would not invalidate the warranty. However, I don't see any positives and it seems more likely to crack. |- I pointed out boards with soft edges that I thought could stand replacement. They "hammer tested" them and they seemed OK, so I assumed they were just trying to keep my costs down and did not press it. However, see the related billing comment above. |- There is a thick spot at one roof edge that I don't understand. Too many layers of shingles, perhaps. No idea why and seems to do no harm. |- I was surprised by the lack of fluent English speakers on the job and by the on site supervisor mostly being absent, but neither of these ended up causing problems. |

Description of Work: Tried to get an estimate to repair some wood shutters. He promised, after texting back and forth and emailing back and forth to stop by and give us an estimate. He never did.
