Bryan and his crew were pleasant to work with, answering any questions we had. The coupon was for $5999 for the siding and we also purchased covering the fascia and sofita which was not included in coupon offer. The crew was punctual, professional, and cleaned up after themselves. We are happy with completed project.

I thought the inclement weather and snow gridlocks would cause serious delays but the roof went up very quickly after my initial contact. The owner followed through on one pipe that caused a minor problem and came back to check on it again and get it painted.
Description of Work: The team Installed new architectural roof in one day. The house looked so good that the plumber thought I had re-painted. I am delighted with the results!

 + -1 morePurchased coupon thru Angies List. Coupon was $5999 for siding but we added wrapping fascia and sofits which was additional $1159. We were contacted by Bryan S. within 2 days to make arrangements. Work was started within a two weeks. He was very pleasant and helpful as was his crew. They put in some long days to finish before rains. They were punctual and cleaned up after themselves each day of the install. We had one minor flaw which they came back and corrected within a week.. I would use them again. They also tried to help with a roof runoff problem by putting up a rain deflector at no cost.

 + -1 moreWe were very happy with this gutter installation. Our home previously had no gutters, so this was a new installation. We contacted the company after purchasing an Angie's List deal, and a representative scheduled a visit within a couple of days according to our schedule. He gave us a quote at that visit, and we made an appointment for installation. The installer was punctual and professional, and very efficient. We have a relatively small home, so installation only took a few hours. There were a couple of quirks with our roofline, but the installer came up with creative solutions to ensure proper drainage. They also accommodated our requests so that we could install a couple of rain barrels. I would recommend this provider.

Said, "how can you tell me if I need a new roof if you don't get on it?" Didn't get any kind of response from that VM I left for 4 days. Will not be using this company.

 + -1 moreHis response time was very poor. I thought I'd hear from him, and I waited to hear from him. I emailed him, and didn't hear back. Finally, I called him. He said he would come out right now, and I said that I couldn't have him over right now (I was at work). I described what I needed done (gutters on my pergola), told him my address, and said that there would be some extra gutter sso we'd need meet. Unfortunately, he came out while I was gone, against my wishes, and did the work. I would guess he shorted me about 8-10 linear feet of gutters installed. I would not use him again due to his unprofessionalism.
Description of Work: I bought a big deal for $279 for 50 Linear Feet of New Gutters and Downspouts Completely Installed.

 + -1 moreJames was great. He was responsive to my phone calls and we often emailed back and forth to communicate. He first came out to look at the windows I wanted done and since the deal was for three windows and he only did two for me, he reduced the priced. However, because our HOA requires that those nice clean white windows be painted the current color of our units' trim which I don't even like, he had to charge me more for the sandpapering and two different coats of paint needed. He also painted the trim on my screens. Still it was a reasonable cost. James did the work himself and was very thorough in everything he did. He cleaned up everything and vacuumed after he was done and rehung my blinds and curtains. He's very bright and I enjoyed talking with him and finding out more about his family and life. I hope I didn't distract him too much! I asked him about some other possible jobs in my house and he's looking into that. I'd recommend James Taylor at James Taylor Construction any day.

 + -1 moreThis was the best service ever. My husband is a general contractor and usually when I (the wife) hire my own people to do a job, my husband has complaints about it. Not with James Taylor construction. He did such a good job that my husband was blown away. They were on time on budget and extremely professional. Their work was superior and they left the yard very clean. After the job was done, they sent someone to walk the yard and make sure that all the little nails were picked up. I would use them again in a heartbeat. We are considering windows soon, and I plan on giving them a call.

 + -1 moreWe thought the Big Deal for a roof for $4,399 sounded too good to be true, and sure enough, it was. The estimate came in at an ADDITIONAL $5,100 which puts it in line with other estimates we've had, so its not a deal at all. I wish we hadn't had to put $4,399 on our credit card just to get another estimate that's no better than the others.

 + -1 moreI didn't bother to call him back because I didn't want to argue with him. I also didn't want to do anything that would make me feel uncomfortable. Having someone on my roof without knowing if they are insured makes me nervous. What if they injury themselves while giving you the estimate? Things happen. I just joined Angie's list yesterday. I think I will just look for someone else. I feel like this guy didn't want to be bothered. I hope I have better luck next time.
Description of Work: The professionalism of the gentlemen who called me was horrible. I was glad to receive his unexpected call for a visit within 15 minutes because I really need the work done. After confirming he would be in my area shortly I hung up. I called back to ask him to bring a copy of insurance and he seemed offended. He told me he does $2 million dollars of work per year. I said okay....bring a copy of your insurance. I asked if he was getting up on the roof and he said yes but just to assess the job. I told him if he is getting up on the roof I would need to see copy of insurance. I have had bad experiences in the past with contractors/repair people and I am very cautious. His response was the he was scheduled to complete $2000 worth of work that day and really didn't need this extra job. I was shocked he would reply that way considering that all the businesses that use this service know customers can place comments on the site. He might be a great contractor but his conversation and professionalism was pretty bad. His comments made me feel like he was better than me or that he was doing me a favor. Especially the last comment he made before he hung up on me. If he was busy and didn't want the job. He could of just said so. That would have been fine. To think that it was all over a request for a copy of insurance....was I asking too much?

 + 0 moreWe had a great experience with the folks from James Taylor Construction. They replaced our roof and gutters. Since we had a 'big deal' we got a fantastic price. We were able to compare their estimate against those of other local roofers for additional services we requested (such as drip edge) and James Taylor Construction was much more reasonably priced. Sometimes it took a few days to get callbacks, but it was a minor annoyance as we knew we would eventually hear back.. Ed even came back several weeks after the job to give me a copy of the invoice so I could get a rebate from the shingle manufacturer. If I need services these guys provide, I will be calling back!!
