Jim Taylor came to inspect the problem we thought was a downspout problem. He explained that it was really a drainage problem below the surface which is work he does not do. He referred me to a drain expert. It turned out in addition ro the drains the retaining wall needed to be taken down and replaced. I got four quotes on that total work. I will not need Mr. Taylor's services so I want a refund on the "big deal" I paid for. Mr. Tay lor was honest about the situation and I certainly would use him if downspouts were my real problem.

I worked with Bryan to set up and install a new roof for my house. Bryan was very easy to work with, responded via email and phone. The new roof looks good, the installer guys were hard working and respected the rest of the house. I'm not an expert on roofs, but so far (2 weeks post install) everything looks good and no problems! Would reccomend and use them again!

Never heard from the contractor. This makes Angies list look bad. You have given them a high rating yet they don't respond to customers trying to get work done.

The add ons were a little out of my budget. The communication with the provider was excellent!

The company was not very responsive to scheduling the work. My guess is that they had a large response from the coupon and had more business than they knew what to do

Gave them a call Monday. Left a voice mail requesting a call back for service. Two business days later...... nothing. I saw a few others had the same issue and the company responded with some stuff about running specials etc etc... and I decided to try anyways. I really don't care about the excuses on running your operation. Lack of communication cost you a customer, 6 grand in service, and netted you a bad review.

That service turned out okay. He did something for me as far as the sink upstairs. There were some problems still afterward. The work he did contributed to some mold that we had later on. He was responsive and I don’t remember him being late to do the service.

James Taylor Construction truly deserves all of the many accolades it has received to date, and then some. The reroofing was professionally handled from beginning to end. Ed arrived at the appointed date and soon followed up with an estimate. He also came by at one point and left shingle samples on our door so that we could research the options and make an informed choice. A date/time was scheduled and his crew arrived even earlier than anticipated to set up. They worked 12-13 hours, well into dusk. Even though there was a small amount of work to be completed the next morning, they cleaned the area as if the work was finished. Once they were completely done, you really could not tell that a job of that magnitude had taken place, except for the fact that the house looks beautiful!! Thank you, James Taylor Construction, for your Angie's Big Deal, and for doing such a great job.

It worked really well. They were very professional and did the job well.

The installer Kevin was very personable and professional; he called to give us a time he would be here and arrived then had the shutters installed without difficulty. We only installed shutters on our 1st floor townhome, but already had Kevin measure the other rooms so we can just call him when ready to do those rooms in a few months. The shutters look great and make the room look more open.

I saved thousands of dollars with this company. James Taylor Construction was my fourth and final estimate. Same materials as competitors but $2k-$3k less. Bryan Sepich was my contact person. He was quick to show up and respond quickly to any question. I preferred on-line contact for any questions and for estimate. This proved quick and efficient. Clean-up crew showed up twice to make sure all debris including nails were removed. Nails in yard and driveway were only glitch but was quickly addressed with two visits with rolling magnet.

Everything went well from start to finish. Work was performed when promised and end product was delivered as promised. Very professional and easy to work with!

Had some trouble getting together due to them being so busy but James was very professional and apologetic about it. When he inspected the roof he identified two areas while another contractor had only identified one, feel confident the second one James identified was the major source of the problem. Quickly repaired (two days later), no leaks now despite torrential rains in August.

I have been contacted twice from the contractor via email. However I still have not heard from the contractor, he has not dropped off samples and I still don't have a date to get the work done. At this point I am just getting my money back and will not be doing business with him.

They indicated they would start the following week and then put it off twice and I have not heard anything back in regards to my emails sent through Angie’s List messaging.

Kevin was very professional during the quote and installation of work. Scheduling was easy, and we even texted back and forth about appointments, which was very efficient. Window treatments installed are high quality and met my expectations. I would definitely use James Taylor Construction in the future for gutters, storm windows, and additional window treatments. Glad I found them through Angie's List!

It didn't go at all since the company never physically contacted us. The biggest surprise was that the company is located two blocks from our house!!!!!. Do not use this company. I really do not see how anyone could as they never contact you. Also the company lowered their price on the same deal two weeks after we bought the deal.

Great customer service. Friendly and on time and would recommend this company to everyone!! Definitely I will be using this company to replace my roof next year.

There were gaps in the back door that should have bee winterized. Air still gets in.

The experience was great! Bryan is extremely personable and his team is professional. The roof is beautiful. We are looking at new windows and will use this company when we decide to have them installed.

When you buy the coupon you are asked to put dates of when you want service performed, those dates are not really for that but for them to come our and assess the job. When they came out they, they stated that they would need to then schedule the job for a week or so later and that the job required additional cost. Since I was on a timeline, they worked with me and tried to get it done by my drop dead date when their team did finally come out. At the end, they did not charge me the additional $100 since they put in the amount of gutter listed on the coupon. The two young men that came out were very courteous and professional. They worked focused and got the job done quickly. The gutters look great. They worked with me to make the gutter fall in a way that would not interfere with our recreation area and so it would drop into our rain barrel. They cleaned up after themselves. All in all I am pleased with the service and the gutters. We had heavy rain the next day and they held their own. thanks for a job well done.

Bryan Sepich was great to work with. The project went well from start to finish. All clean-up was included in the price. The project was completed on time and on budget. The roof looks great and we have experienced no issues.

Frankly, the only negative was the multiple phone calls it took (at least 3) to get a response. It seems they had some internal communications management issues that got straightened out, as well as some staff on vacation. James Taylor personally came out and gave a very clear and professional assessment. Their bid was very competitive. I would have chosen them but had another roofer I knew better through friends that was willing to negotiate hard in the end. I would consider James Taylor and his company again for other services.

Because the place to install the gutter on the left side of my house is slanted to the back, the water could not emptied through the front down pipe, which is originally designed to be there. After calling James, he sent two guys to install an additional down pipe on the other end of the gutter, and solved the problem perfectly. And he did not even charge me for that. I am very much appreciate the service. That is why I upgraded my review.

The service went well. The technician did a great job and he was very professional. I had no issues with scheduling and he showed up on time.
