Very fine quality of installation and cleanup, plus was willing to do a couple add on services for fair price. Great experience with this contractor.

Almost all went well with James Tayler. The work was done quickly and they were thorough, and the exterior cleanup was terrific. The roof looks great. Three issues; all addressed: 1) I awarded JT the contract with the agreement that the skylights would be flashed, but those instructions did not make it to the workers. They had installed "ice-guard" up to the skylights, which is fine, but they didn't run it up the curbs. Fortunately I was there to mention the contract and my concern and they immediately redid the skylights with flashing (but didn't change the already stuck-down ice-guard.) Two of the workers spoke enough English that we could communicate okay; my Spanish is quite limited! JT warrants that work for 10 years; I'd have liked at least 15. 2) The HVAC exhaust pipe pieces had separated some and there was a minor leak that I spotted from the attic on the first rain. JT was back quickly to seal the leak within a couple days. 3) To replace one piece of rotten board, one worker started cutting up additional pieces of my roof to get to it...but I stopped him and I cut out the rotten board from inside the attic instead. One more note: I elected to have the ridge vent put in, but no one ? including me ? thought to take steps to prevent sawdust and scraps from filling the attic and covering items stored there. It?s a bit of a mess. I?m not sure I?d say yes to adding the ridge vent now; ...just stick with the old gable vent and fan. All that said, I believe their work is likely superior to many others. It was definitely better that what the original roofer did! I would choose them again.

I bought the Angie's List Big Deal, which was $199 for $500 worth of service. I was looking for blackout shades for the bedroom (I work overnight and sleep during the day). I also inquired about basic shades or blinds in the family room, if there was to be any leftover value from the Angie's List Big Deal. The rep (super nice guy, for sure) wrote up the proposal. The two bedroom shades exhausted the value of the Big Deal. The rep said it would take about two weeks to get the shades installed. After hearing nothing for four weeks, I contacted him and we made an appointment for about two weeks later. He came in and quickly and neatly installed the shades. These blackout shades come far short in darkening out the room. The body of the shades are dark, but so much light is let in on the edges and the bottom of shades that they are nearly useless for total darkening purposes. The deal was for $500 of service for $199. That means that these shades for two standard-sized windows would have normally been $250 a piece, including installation. If that is the case, I would strongly urge avoiding this deal, and going to the big-box store and buying and installing your own. I don't like writing bad reviews, and I guess this isn't that bad, but this is what Angie's List is for, to be honest and specific. It's a lot easier just to plug in a bunch of A's and be done with it ( and I admit, I've done it), but that dilutes the rating system for those who truly do provide excellent goods and services.

James called me back fairly promptly to set up a time to give me an estimate. I got the estimate quickly and after comparing quotes, theirs was the lowest and I accepted the proposal based on the great reviews here. Everything was done via email after the original quote. They had a lead time of 3-4 weeks, which was fine since I didn't have any leaks or other pressing needs. They said they would drop off samples, but since I hadn't received any two weeks later, I followed up and they said they would come out in the next 5-6 days. A week later I followed up again and samples were brought out promptly. After negotiating price a little bit, it took a couple of tries to get an updated quote but eventually (about 5 weeks after the original proposal was accepted) the team came out and installed the roof. I believe it took two days. The waste dumpster and forklift tines scraped my driveway pretty badly, but it has weathered out okay over the last six months. They did a pretty good job of cleaning up, although they did leave an entire shingle on the roof and I continue to find tar paper, shingle pieces, and the occasional nail on the ground. About three weeks later, I got the invoice in my email, which reflected the original quote. I emailed them back and once again got the quote corrected and closed everything out. It seems that they did a good job with the roof, but they do seem to be overwhelmed with their deals and give the impression of being disorganized. Overall, I'd use them again based on pricing and good work.

James Taylor emailed me to say he could come on Friday afternoon (April 10) between 2-4:00 to give me an estimate on replacing my roof. He never showed up nor has he called to explain or apologize. I rarely if ever have given an "F" rating to any business but I have no patience for someone so rude as to not call and follow up. It's been four days and I've heard nothing.

I ordered more blinds than the coupon would cover (approximately 15). When they were installed, the house looked totally different. The blinds gave the rooms polish. I am extremely pleased, especially the chocolate ones that I picked for the dining room. The service was great, and dealing with the provider was a pleasure. Will definitely use again.

They were affordable and were of good quality- they did a very good job.

There were extra costs associated with the deal after we purchased it which brought the final total above what we'd been quoted by other service providers.

The installation went great. Total time was about 4 days. The roof was removed and installed in two days. The extra time was because two soffits had to be repaired/replaced. Bryan was the supervisor of the project and he was great to work with. He followed up on everything, he remembered everything we discussed, and he was interested in making sure we were happy with the entire project. He even went out of his way to help me get a rebate on my roof installation due to a program that the material supplier had going for veterans. I definitely would do business with this installer again. Highly recommended.

They did a fantastic job. The gate looks great.

He came out and gave us an estimate of how many shades on our window would be covered by Angie's deal. I was very impressed with the quality of his shade, I order three window over the original deal. The shades look fantastic. I will definently call back to have the remaining window done.

It was pretty good. He was honest and straightforward. He gave options to help save us money. It took about 4 weeks to get everything made because it was custom made in a factory. The price was good. I had no complaints.

The cost of the project was more the the Big Deal was for.

There was some slowness in getting everything done. It was two months between the time I bought the Angie's List Deal and completion of the roof. Other than that there were no problems. He responded to phone calls promptly. There was one corner where the aluminum drip edge was not lying flat on the roof which lifted the shingles up. I called him about it and it was fixed the next day. The roof looks very nice and the yard was cleaned up with no debris left.
