Their prices were higher than I expected. They were highly professional. I got another quote from another company and their approach that they provided, seemed to be a better approach, so that's why I went with them. They were very highly responsive.

In short, the work was meticulously engineered and delivered, and the sealed spaces perform exceptionally well. Steve has a great crew. The resulting "rooms" are nearly NASA-grade clean, remain completely dry, maintain the temperature of the living space (reducing energy use), and all have significantly reduced radon levels. An additional benefit is that sealed crawlspaces remain pretty much bug-free... The IES team always responds quickly whenever we have a question, concern, or require a fix (stuff happens). Highly recommended.

Went well. Came at scheduled time. Neat job. Added drainage on outside. Repaired waterproofing inside.

The assessor was good, but the plan they drew up included some things that we felt really were not necessary. They priced it as a whole job rather than each item, and we did not want all that they proposed.

IES was fantastic from fist contact through project completion. Steve came out for the initial consult and really impressed me with his knowledge. I was also very happy that he was willing to talk technical with me. I have some experience and like to talk details, but not all providers are willing to do that. After getting our quote and making a decision to move forward, Stephanie stepped in as the project manager. She was a pleasure to work with - knowledgeable, friendly, and responsive to all my questions. She set us up with an appointment for the project and let us know approximate timing through the course of the 2-day project. Since we were replacing HVAC ducts, there would be times when the A/C wasn't running. Plus we would need to run the fan continuously while the materials in the crawl space cured. It was very nice going into the project with accurate expectations. The crew that did the work was also wonderful. They arrived on time and did high-quality work. As someone who's pretty handy, I was pleased with their work. Overall, we've been thrilled with the sealed crawl space. We no longer have moisture or mold problems. As a bonus, the house appears to be more energy efficient. We have another job spec'd out with IES for our attic spaces, and we'll have them out as soon as we have the other constraints completed.

They did the analysis but their offer seemed a little pricey. But the audit was good. The price was fair. The price would have to be better to use them in the future for the additional services.

I was very disappointed. I had expected a much more complete examination of the energy use of the house, with recommendations for things like what windows should be sealed up better and how much better window treatments would help. I feel that essentially what we wound up with was a recommendation of all of the insulation improvements they recommended in the crawlspace and attic, and estimates of how much they would charge us to do that. Essentially, I paid $100 to receive an estimate from them.

It went very well. The tech showed up pretty much on schedule. Performed the audit and explained his process as he went. We were send a written report several days later with the audit information and assessment. We also got a quote for services to address the recommended improvements for energy efficiencies. I was really impressed because I had originally purchased as an AngiesList deal and the time had expired on my coupon. The honored the coupon with no problem or extra charges and performed the work in a timely professional manner. We are considering the quotes and will undertake some of the projects ourselves.

The service was fine. They were professional and did a very good and in-depth job. They gave me a lot of information. I got to see where my weak spots were. The report was very good, detailed, and easy to follow. The workers were super nice and easy to talk to. The scheduling was easy.

I just paid the $99 for the audit. I thought they were fine as far as the audit itself. I guess there was a little disconnect in my expectations. I was expecting things like they would tell me that I had some glitch on a switch or I can do better window treatment here or something like that instead it seemed to be here is where your biggest problem are and we wanted to sell you a $6,000 solution. I was really hoping for a little bit more inclusive energy audit. They were definitely very familiar with their products and with what they were trying to sell.

We didn't end up doing the work, but they were excellent.

Service provider was extremely friendly and courteous. However, I was expecting an overall house energy audit, and it seemed that they were a little more focused on looking to sell us their products.

The service and expertise was great from the start to the finish. They first came out and gave a clear explanation of the recommended work and price. This was one of three estimates we received. While the price was higher, it was close to the others. It was clear from the estimate that their work was more through. It was obvious they understood the issue and what needed to be done. They arrived to work on at the time they said they would be here and kept us informed of progress. The job took about two days to complete. They were the only company that of the three estimates that provided a warranty and one that can be transferred to a new owner should we ever sell. They cleaned up from the job. They were very great. We had them come out to check everything and told us what we could do if we wanted to. Our attic was not up to code but they upgraded it. We never really saw any results in our energy bill but they were very nice overall.

They came out and did a great job. It was an illusive problem. It's an old house and the lead based paint on the plaster caused the peeling. In the begining of the project they went ahead and sanded the whole area. They did a very good job containing the space due to the lead being air born. The paint that they used ontop of it did not stick like it shouldwe are so now back to square one. I spoke with them again and they suggested that now we would have to cover it up with sheet rock in order to solve the issue. They did state that they had not seen anything like this before. The owner was very good and he was the one who handled it from the very beginning.

Bought service via the big deal on angies list. Called up for an appointment a few days later. No hastle in scheduling. Provider came by at the scheduled time and quickly made their way around the house. I walked along and asked various questions as he performed his audit. I was more interested in the energy efficiency questions such as insulation and sealing, but the provider seemed more interested in talking about air quality issues such as dust and possible mold problems. After the audit we did a review of his findings and he said he would send a written report via email a few days later. Received a detailed written report including pictures a few days later. Decided after the audit not to perform any follow up actions .

Punctual, professional. Advised that I did not need additional services based on his findings. I always appreciate when a business does not try to sell me things I don't need. I remember neither the date nor the amount. Indoor Environment was great and I would definitely recommend them; Angie's List, however, is being a major pain. I keep getting emails and phone calls to submit a review for this service I used 2 years ago. Fine, I submitted a review, please stop the harassment already.

It took a while to set the appointment as they did not contact me right away; in fact, I had to contact them. They were very professional friendly and did not put on any high pressure sales pressure. The ideas and price seemed reasonable but I will get other estimates to confirm.

Steve was fantastic! He's very knowledgeable about his business and trade. He was very educated about the crawlspaces and what the former standards were and what they are now. He also provided us with (2) options of how to seal the crawlspace but unfortunately we couldn't really afford the top quality work he was offering. Duct cleaning was listed as line item as $1200. He was definitely willing to wheel and deal but still, it was outside the realm of what we could afford. We ended up finding another vendor who offered equally great work with tons more references and who offered a lifetime warranty. I'd consider Steve to offer the Mercedes of the crawlspace world; if you can afford a little better quality, call Steve!

ge waSystem was up and running 3 days after my old one failed. Day one technician came out to repair old system if possible. Compressor, wiring and fan bearing shot. Day two sales person showed my options discussed prices. Because of previous estimates, his price a little high but he could have the system in place the next day with a better than average warranty. Day 3, two technicians came by the house on time, spent most of the day installing system, wifi thermostat, uv filter, whole house filter and replaced the plenum and air exchanger which were holed and rusted out. No problems with system since.

The overall experience while he was onsite was excellent. The was punctual, patient with me, and was very thorough. The one issue that I have is that I never got the final report with the photos and recommendations. I have not had a chance to contact them to find out what is going on, but I would have expected the report and followup contact by them to see if I wanted to pursue any of the remedies that were reviewed while the contractor was doing the walkthrough.

The crew arrived on time and started work immediately. They answered our questions as they went along. The owner of the company also came over to my home while his crew was working and stayed most of the day. They completed the work in a timely fashion and cleaned up and let my home as it was prior to their arriving. The vapor barrier install is exactly as promised. The quote listed and pictured each item that would be install and described what each piece was needed. The attic vapor barrier has helped keep the upstairs of my home on a more equal temperature level as the downstairs.

We expected the audit to go well and it did. Our only disappointment was their inability to forecast the ROI. Without that information it is going to be hard for us to justify the improvements considering this would be a large investment. In retrospect it feels like we shouldn't have had to pay to get a proposal, but I was willing to pay the $100 for the information and I'm sure the company would credit the bill if we decide to move forward with them.
