If I could I would give this company 0 stars. They are not honest and totally misrepresent their work in a highly unethical, illegal manner. They utilize fear mongering sales tactics to rope you in and charge astronomical prices for work that they do (in reality don't do). They are very good at this shady sales tactic. We contracted with Indoor Environmental Systems (IES) for several projects and ended paying almost $100,000 when all was said and done. Because of the issues we have experienced as detailed below, I am going to utilize an independent inspector to review all of the work that IES has done for us to make sure the rest is legit, safe and performed as contracts indicate. One of the projects was for 'Closed Crawl Space Repairs'. The scope of work detailed: Ground & foundation walls covered using insulation liner; Foam/foil (150mil) radiant barrier - Provides moisture, radon & temperature control. The main intent for these repairs was to eliminate (at the least reduce) radon. The IES salesman indicated that their process will 'most likely eliminate the radon completely' but that there was a small chance it would not and in that case we would need to contact a radon mitigation company. The completed work had zero impact on the radon levels, so I reached out to a radon mitigation company. They came and did their inspection and informed me the product used by IES is not safe for crawlspaces and does nothing to help with the control of radon. Not only is it highly flammable (they showed me by holding a lighter up to the material and it instantly combusted) but is also against building code ASTE E1745-11 CLASS A, B, C. I contacted IES with this information and was provided with a link to a general product page [*** Link removed ***] by the owner Stephen McLeoud. Nowhere on this page, or any of the specific product detail pages is there any mention of radon, let alone being able to control radon as the scope of work indicates. In a very poor attempt to further divert from being held responsible/liable, Mr. McLeoud also sent me this link: [*** Link removed ***] He stated, "When reviewing the HOW TO INSULATE A CRAWL SPACE refer to Benefits of Prodex Total Insulation In Crawlspaces, find #7 which states radon resistant." This link talks about sealing the ceiling with the product that was used, however our ceiling wasn't sealed. And using Prodex Total Under Concrete for the floors, which wasn't used on our project and is specific for being used under concrete slabs. Therefore, the statement of being radon resistant is false. Important to note that I tried contacting insulation4less.com (sole distributor of the product used) multiple times over several days to get feedback from them. It went straight to some sketch voicemail every time and I have yet to receive any call back. I even tried to contact the product manufacturer and their phone number is disconnected, and their is no email address on the website. Crazy...

Great! Stephanie managed the project perfectly. She kept me well informed and provided reminders as needed. She, Dan and Steve patiently answered my many questions. They were all very knowledgeable and I always felt they were trying to do what was best for me. Miguel and his crew did excellent work. Everyone showed up on time, was courteous, did great work and cleaned up afterwards! I don't know what more I could ask for!

They were great! The owner came and was really good! He advised me on what we could do on our own and what our options were.

We were grateful for the help we received from IES and would not hesitate to use them again.

It was okay, they did what they were supposed to do but they were to pricey. They didn't find the mold but I think they are okay. They need to be ready to be more clear with pricing and what it does and doesn't include. I was thinking it would be an whole inspection, it wasn't clear how many rooms would be covered. I suggest to better clarity on the pricing and what it covers.

They were fine. Efficient and thorough and I'm very pleased with their performance. They were very quick to provide a quote. It took a little bit to get on the schedule. But they were quick and reasonable. The workers were professional.

IES handled the job very professionally throughout the whole process -- from quotation through installation, including timely responses to my questions. The crew showed up on time and were very courteous to us during the whole job. They were able to complete the entire job with no problems within the specified time frame. The old and very moldy duct work in the renovated garage space was replaced according to their plan. They installed a small exhaust fan to remove/circulate air under the renovated garage space. After the installation we noticed a major improvement in indoor air quality and improved winter heating due to the fresh air intake which eliminated problems with negative pressurization. Approximately 18 months after installation we have noticed no decline in air quality. We are very pleased with the work done.

I found this company on Angie's List, purchased an offer they had on Angie's List, and asked them to come out to find the source of water leaks and bad odors stemming from possible mildew or mold. Meanwhile, my builder brought in another company to remediate the problem, which they did. So despite Indoor Environmental's prompt scheduling and willingness to help I didn't need them. But Lori Medlin, who was the contact person there, could not have been nicer. Not only did she offer to schedule a prompt evaluation of the problem, but when I didn't use them she offered to have Angie's List reverse the charges. She even emailed me this morning to say she tried but couldn't because I had to personally contact Angie's List, and gave me the number to call. I took care of it, but if Lori's professionalism is any indication, this company would likely do good work. I would not hesitate to use them or recommend them.

No drama. Tech was on time and professional. Audit was thorough enough for our purpose. Report was likewise.

They were great and super helpful.

Good. Very professional. Very thorough. Pricey, but worth it. Wish they had caught the problem when they fixed my drainage and sealed my basement 1.5 years below, because I am certain that it was there before because the same symptoms in house and allergies existed between service, but they took care of my 86 year old dank basement well and I will use them again, hopefully not until their 7 year warranty wears out.

Fortunately sample analysis indicated no problems. Recommended installing indoor humidity monitors to ensure air quality stays good and recommended addition energy conservation changes. All will be done. Third time I've used them and they remain exemplary.

I bought a big deal for this service and it was good. I got a quote and did not move forward with the service. But the owner was professional and talked me through everything. It made sense and the estimate was good, but we decided not to move forward at that time. It was a quick turnaround, maybe a week or two.

I am going to hire Indoor Environmental to repair damage done to my crawlspace when it was treated for termites. It is expensive, but should save me significantly with home heating and air conditioning costs in the future.

It was fine. They came out within a few weeks. They were great, gave me some ideas and that was it.

It was very good. They were very courteous. They were on time. They gave us good information. He was very courteous and very clear. He explained everything. They were a little ahead of time and they were very professional.

The service turned out good. They were thorough in their testing and were honest in reporting they found no mold. They could have made more money if they reported there was mold so I appreciated their honesty.

It went very well. The did the initial analysis which led to a contract for them to do the insulation.

There was no delay on their service after we purchased the big deal. It was fine. I contacted them last year for a humidifier in the basement and I thought that the estimate they gave was very high. So, I ended up not calling them again. But the original job they did, I was very pleased with that. The price for the original work that they did was reasonable.

It was fine. They came shortly after I purchased the big deal, I think within a few weeks after I purchased it. There were no extra charges apart from the big deal. They were very professional and very knowledgeable. I did not purchase any service but the big deal was very cost effective.

The first great thing about this provider is that a live body answers the phone every time - no voicemail. They were able to come out the next business day to provide an estimate, and schedule the work for early the following week. The crew arrived on-time and took all expected steps to protect the rest of our home from any mold / dust released as work was being performed. The work was completed quickly and professionally, and all cleanup was completed to my satisfaction. I thought the price was a bit on the high side for three hours work (even given the specialized skills and equipment used while the crew was onsite). Since this work was covered by insurance, cost did not factor into the decision to use IES, and I would use them again should I have a need for the type of work they perform.

I got 3 quotes from various companies that perform crawlspace incapsulation. IES was in the middle quoting around $10,000 plus they were the only one to offer a lifetime warranty. Their plan on my 1970s house was to remove all the old insulation, scrub down all the wood to remove mold, spray the wood to prevent future mold growth, wipe down all the duct work and patch any holes, seal all the walls, put up insulation board on the walls, put down a thick, reflective floor cover, and several other items. This would make the crawlspace essentially like another room. The crew was very polite and professional. They arrived on time and worked diligently. After the first day's work, there was one item that was missed, so when they returned the following day I relayed that info to them and they apologized for missing it and had no problem doing some rework to fix the issue. We also had them clean and apply a mold preventative paint to all of our ductwork for an additional cost. It has been almost a year since the work was done. We've had a very wet summer and I haven't seen any moisture in the crawlspace at all. I had bought 5 temp/humidity sensors to place around the house and crawlspace. During the damp summer, the crawlspace is usually about 5 degrees cooler than the house with a 5% higher humidity than the house. I am very pleased with the results and would recommend IES to others looking to do similar work.

The service was great and exactly as quoted/advertised. We had interviewed several companies for the work. IES was certaily the higher priced quote, but our confidence level in the quality of work they would perform was high, and very important due to serious health issues of a family member. Steve was very helpful when he came to assess and quote the job. Stephanie was always available by phone and very responsive with questions throughout the scheduling and actual work process. Miquel did an exceptional job of leading the team in the actual remediation. We have a very large crawlspace (~2400 sq ft) and it was amazing to observe how efficient they were while doing an exceptional job. It was very cold the two days they came in January (yes, I'm very late in submitting my feedback!) but they worked non-stop throughout the project. When I was quoted 2 days to perform the entire remediation, I simply couldn't believe it could be done in that amount of time - but they completed the project on time. When they finished, there was no evidence of the massive amount of work (they promptly hauled all materials and old fiberglass to the dump) except for our beautifully lined crawlspace. I called about a few spots I wanted to have sealed as well, and they came right out the following week. More expensive? Yes. But if you have a serious mold problem and want to make sure the job is done right, professionally and with quality, I would highly recommend them.

I set up 3 meetings with 3 vendors to get estimates, one of which was this one. We set up a time but I had to cancel as I had something come up. I left a message for them to call me but we never connected. Meanwhile I found a great vendor and gave them my business.
