They were great. They came out within 24 hours of us calling them. They were on time and cleaned up the area after they were done. They were fantastic, an over all very good job.

Five Star Painting was very efficient and professional throughout our entire experience with them. They came out within 3 business days to quote the job, and were able to put us on the books to complete the work the following week (snow and a sick child delayed the work a bit, but they were so willing to work with us/accommodate our schedule). We had received two other quotes, both of which were more expensive than Five Star's quote, as well as more estimated days (Five Star brought a crew of 4 painters and they finished the job in one day). The crew was friendly, efficient, hard-working and meticulous. The owner came out with the crew to oversea the start of he job, and came back at the end to make sure we were satisfied.

We found Five Star Painting on Angie's List and are very pleased with the service provided. Robin and Tom were great to work with. They were reasonably priced, courteous, professional, and they really cared about us being happy with the work performed. They also cleaned up and left the house in the same condition as when they started. During our initial quote meeting, we took as much time as needed and even were able to bounce some of our color ideas off of Tom. We will definitely be hiring them again to help with other painting projects.

Fantastic service and price. I couldn't be happier. They were quick to schedule me even though it was very close to Christmas. The crew came in and completed all the work in just two days and left zero mess. The work was flawless and the price was vastly lower than another quote I had received.

I wanted the job done prior to the end of the year and they were able to schedule the job on short notice. The job was done well and I'm happy with how it turned out. Robin took the extra time to go to the paint store and help me choose the color I wanted in order to get a good match with the carpet.

Robin called immediately after receiving an e-mail from me. He was courteous and helpful and said that his son would be glad to take a look at the house THAT DAY to start giving me an estimate. We agreed on a price, but when I met with Robin on the first day of painting, he pointed out some areas on the wall (thank heaven) that hadn't been properly sanded or finished. With his help, we decided to paint that area with flat paint, because he informed me that an eggshell finish would show every defect in the wall. We decided to use eggshell everywhere else. Also, the garage was in much rougher shape that I had remembered, and he said that the extra work involved would probably necessitate an increase in the price. Two doors were unfinished, as were the casings around them. Also, the bottom area of all the garage walls looked terrible, and he suggested using 2 x 4s to give the garage a finished look when they were through painting. The job took two days, and Robin was in and out, checking on the progress. All of his workmen were courteous and professional, and they were excellent at their craft. Robin and I negotiated a small price increase (Thank you, Robin!) that I felt was more than fair. When I went back a day after they left, I was absolutely amazed. The garage job was done so well that it looked like any other room IN the house, and the bottom casing even went into a small area where the water heater was. I didn't expect that! The inside looked beautiful, and they had cleaned up everything. Their solution to the screened porch dilemma worked out perfectly. Robin should be a designer as well as running Five Star Painting. I called him to thank him for the excellent job, and he said something like, "I was planning a walk through with you, but it sounds like you don't need one!" I didn't! I could not be more pleased and plan to recommend his company to anyone I talk to. His is the ONLY painting company I will use in the future, and I am thrilled to have found them. Prompt, Professional, Reasonable, Reliable! Doesn't get much better than that!

from first contact with robin everything went very smoothly. he was on time for the estimate, gave us the benefit of the angies list discount a week early , was fairly priced ( had 3 estimates for the job) and finished 2 days before he said they would which was great as we had a tight schedule between closing on our house and moving in before x mas. he was very responsive to all questions . the painting crew was wonderful, cleaned up after themselves and worked very quickly. there were a few issues which were corrected immediately with excellent customer service. i would recommend 5 star without reservation and would certainly use them again in the future.

5-star painting is the only painting company we'll ever use. You won't regret calling them for you job. I called Robin Green the owner in April 2013 to get an estimate for some major renovations. At the time we were preparing our townhouse to sell in order to move to a bigger house (more on that later). Robin Green and his manager Tom Kjerrumgaard stopped by and we discussed the project which was massive. We had a budget of $ 4000.00. Our living room ceiling had two spots where the joint tape was coming loose between the sheet rock. This needed repaired and the ceiling needed repainted. The trim was in awful shape and needed repainted - this included crown molding, chair molding, baseboard and the mantle of the fireplace and the door frames. The downstairs half bathroom had old decrepit wallpaper that needed removed and the walls repaired underneath. The master bathroom was in the same condition but worse. The popcorn ceiling was coming apart. We wanted it replaced with a smooth ceiling. The master bedroom ceiling and guest bedroom ceiling also had joint tape coming loose but with a popcorn ceiling - in this instance we wanted the popcorn ceiling kept. The guest bathroom needed to have the popcorn ceiling replaced with a smooth ceiling as well and we needed re-painted. In the guest bathroom we wanted to keep the wallpaper however. They painted ALL of the interior walls including a 25 foot high entry way wall. Robin could have milked this for all the money in the world but instead he worked with us to SAVE money by showing me where we could cut some of the work on getting the trim painted. He told me he could get the work done in 4 days but they did it in 2. When I saw the work - especially the ceiling repair in the bathrooms I was astonished!! The ceilings were perfectly done despite the fact that they did the work VERY fast. I've had other painters work on the house and would never hire THOSE guys again. In large part to all of the work Robin and Tom's crew's did we managed to sell our home in a month for a good price. We were so impressed with the work they did we had them over to do a special paint job on our new house in the master bedroom. I will have them back again in the spring to paint the master bathroom and repair the ceiling. These guys are awesome. It would be a mistake to hire someone other than 5-Star!!! Great job guys!!

I called on Monday, got a detailed quote on Monday afternoon, and the work was scheduled for Tuesday morning. Everything was done on time with excellent professionalism; they were very careful and cleaned up very well. My wife was thrilled with the quality!! I will definitely use this company again - no worries.

They took the time to really handle tough areas--high ceilings, to low baseboards with precision and skill. Neat and clean. what a relief to have our home comfortable and attractive with a responsible professionals. We recommend them as they fit the name of 5 Star--out of 5!

Rebuilt front steps and landing, prepared house and screened porch for exterior staining/painting: replaced rotted cedar boards on house, power washed, caulked where needed, painted/stained (2 coats) house, front door, back screened porch.

From the beginning, Five Star was very professional. Their quote provide details on each room, what type of paint would be used, how many coats of paint would be applied and how much it would cost. I booked them on a Thursday and they were ready on Friday morning to start the job. They completed the job in two days and left the house in a very clean shape.

They were on-time, very polite, and quiet. The clean-up was very good too. All done in one day. The crew even lifted one end of a credenza for me so that I could put a slider under it. The credenza was in a room not to be painted. They were so nice. At lunch time they asked if I wanted anything from the store. Gosh, when does that ever happen? It was a pleasant experience.

Robin at Five Star was excellent to deal with. He took time on the initial visit to measure everything and talk through the different options and possibilities without making us feel rushed or like we were being up-sold. They were responsive to our scheduling needs since we were painting to prep the house for sale. The work was done quickly and professionally. Touch-up areas were addressed without argument. Robin was able to address issues that came up during the job like discovering that the closets and pantry also needed painting. Very glad they were able to handle the dynamic situation since the outcome was much better as a result. Thankfully we added the powerwashing of the driveway as it looks like new! Very reasonable pricing given the amount of work done.

Extremely fast response on both quoting and getting the job done. They followed up quickly on changes I made to the quote. They had a cancellation and were able to come the day after I signed the contract. They sent five guys who were all excellent workers, quiet, very careful, fast. After the entire job was finished I only found two tiny touch-ups I wanted them to do. They are just fabulous!

Some stains remained on siding of screened porch from roof runoff. They came back and cleaned them off promptly.

Because of a Living Social/Amazon Local coupon deal the team was stretched and had to bring in additional resources. This meant that some finishing aspects of the paint job were not completed to my total satisfaction - nails and hooks for paintings not replaced or missing, outlet covers not screwed back in properly, screws missing. Also in one bathroom there was paint spray on the bathtub fittings. However, given the discount from the coupon these were acceptable, minor issues but they do mean I can't give them a A grading on every aspect.

Taylor Green and Five Star delivered exactly what they promised. They were on time, professional and completed the job to exceed my expectations. From the first visit that produced their competitive quote, to the pre-work walk through and crew introductions, to the timely and neat execution of their work we were thoroughly please and satisfied. Beginning with the power washing through the job-site clean up and final walk through, we couldn't have been happier with their performance and results. We are happy to recommend them.

We had Taylor and Five Star Painting do some extensive work for us in December, 2011, including repairing some interior damage caused by a broken water line, several interior rooms repainted, exterior siding replacement, and painting the entire exterior of our house. we spent $8,500 with them but felt we got a very fair price with superior customer service. We had some additional minor work we wanted done and were curious if we would receive the same service for a $500 job that we did for an $8,500 job. The service was excellent! They were on time, professional, and very considerate. We highly recommend Taylor and the team at Five Star!

They came when promised and even started a day early! Terrific crew and work was all done very well. Good clean up too. I plan to have them do our next projects. Very professional organization.

The quote was for $1900. The lady that came out was very nice. She appeared knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to work with. In fact, they were my second choice. We were going to go with them and quite frankly the only reason we didn't was that we got the initial quote and I talked with my wife and we wanted to add a couple of other things there and I believe the lady went out of town for a few days. In the meantime, we'd gotten a third estimate in and we really liked the company as well. So, we had heard back from the other company but we haven't heard back from Five Star. It wasn't much of delay but it was enough for us to go ahead and make the decision. We will definitely use Five Star again in the future. I have nothing but positive things to say about them.

Cleaning crew arrived on time. Spent about 10 hours on first day. Completed job as promised in three days. All punchlist items were addressed and completed before leaving.
