there were a few issues which were corrected immediately with excellent customer service. i would recommend 5 star without reservation and would certainly use them again in the future.

Robin Green and his manager Tom Kjerrumgaard stopped by and we discussed the project which was massive. We had a budget of $ 4000.00. Our living room ceiling had two spots where the joint tape was coming loose between the sheet rock. This needed repaired and the ceiling needed repainted. The trim was in awful shape and needed repainted - this included crown molding, chair molding, baseboard and the mantle of the fireplace and the door frames.
The downstairs half bathroom had old decrepit wallpaper that needed removed and the walls repaired underneath. The master bathroom was in the same condition but worse. The popcorn ceiling was coming apart. We wanted it replaced with a smooth ceiling. The master bedroom ceiling and guest bedroom ceiling also had joint tape coming loose but with a popcorn ceiling - in this instance we wanted the popcorn ceiling kept. The guest bathroom needed to have the popcorn ceiling replaced with a smooth ceiling as well and we needed re-painted. In the guest bathroom we wanted to keep the wallpaper however. They painted ALL of the interior walls including a 25 foot high entry way wall. Robin could have milked this for all the money in the world but instead he worked with us to SAVE money by showing me where we could cut some of the work on getting the trim painted. He told me he could get the work done in 4 days but they did it in 2. When I saw the work - especially the ceiling repair in the bathrooms I was astonished!! The ceilings were perfectly done despite the fact that they did the work VERY fast. I've had other painters work on the house and would never hire THOSE guys again. In large part to all of the work Robin and Tom's crew's did we managed to sell our home in a month for a good price. We were so impressed with the work they did we had them over to do a special paint job on our new house in the master bedroom. I will have them back again in the spring to paint the master bathroom and repair the ceiling. These guys are awesome. It would be a mistake to hire someone other than 5-Star!!! Great job guys!!

We had some additional minor work we wanted done and were curious if we would receive the same service for a $500 job that we did for an $8,500 job. The service was excellent! They were on time, professional, and very considerate.

Maybe the quality of the work varies with the crew you get. Since I had to call them back twice, I apparently didn't get the 5-star crew. For that reason, I can't recommend this company.

"I’m sorry your experience with Five Star Painting wasn’t what you had hoped it would be. Because your review is posted on Angies list and the importance of customer feedback is the life blood of our business I would like to respond. I am Robin Green and one of the Five Star Painting Franchise owners along with my two sons. I am the one who left you the message about our software update. We were putting in a new Corporate software system at the time of your painting project and were running into a number of issues. We were all frustrated with the progress and when we were told the new system would not product an invoice we couldn’t believe it as well. Once Taylor told me you wanted an invoice in addition to the estimate and he had told you the system was unable to product one I called you to let you know we would generate one by hand until our Corporate group could get our system corrected. We never heard back from you until the review was posted I was not part of the call or communication between you and Taylor but I’m sure he had no intent to be rude to you or any customer and we all apologize if we left you with that impression. If you look at all of our other reviews in the markets we service, Raleigh and Wilmington, you will see we have received 95% A’s. with just a couple of B’s on Price. I would ask that you reconsider revising your D grade on our professionalism and allow us to provide you with a special offer to prove we are truly a professional business that takes our customer feedback serious.
