Bob's estimate was fair, he and his crew were polite and professional. The job came out well and we received a lot of compliments. We are very pleased.

Overall the process went very smoothly. Having been burned by contractors before we were very hesitant but Bob restored our confidence in having people work on our home.

They had great ideas to accomplish what we wanted to do, and proved to be skilled at carrying them out. Bob was realistic about the cost, timeline, and what he could do. Both he and Carl were there when they said they would be, worked hard all day (I think they only broke for lunch.), and cleaned up at the end of the job. They did an excellent job, and I would highly recommend Decks by all Means.

Bob gave me a very competitive bid for replacing a 2nd story deck and stairs. His team was always on time and started work bright and early. They were very professional in how they approached the project. Bob had a very good knowledge of the local deck building codes. As a result, the inspections were a breeze. I was extremely impressed with the workmanship, attention to detail, fit and finish and overall appearance of the deck. They used premium, pre dried materials with a very low knot content. The small cosmetic touches were a nice surprise too. The crew members were pleasant and took time to answer all my questions and concerns during construction. I highly recommend Decks by All Means.

The job was competitively bid and the proposal and price provided was competitive enough to win the job. High quality materials were delivered on schedule and the job started and finished on-time. The job was also finished on budget. The crew was professional, punctual, and worked hard the entire time on site to build a quality deck. They hauled away the debris from the old deck and thoroughly cleaned up the work area before leaving each day and when the job was complete. After the job was completed, my wife and I decided on some added changes she wanted to the original pergola design. Mr. Bob Means, the owner, made himself available to discuss the new work, ensuring the change was made promptly and completely to our satisfaction. I was completely satisfied with the cost, schedule, quality and management of the entire project.

The deck that they built is a 30 by 12 raised deck and is 20 feet high. They did a good job too. The project was great and the person who came out to get the work done was great too. I chose him, as he was the only one available. It took them 1 week to build the deck and they used pine wood.

Bob, his 2-man crew and the various subcontractors did a great job. Quality was top-notch and the process was smooth, taking approx 3 weeks start to finish even with some weather delays. The crew cleaned up the work area every night and were very low-profile. Only rarely did we need to be home during the work day (wife and I both work), as they were able to meet us around our schedule. What separates this company in my opinion is that their work included a near-complete strip-down of our existing decking and rails, as they placed brand new boards and rails. The other companies we had come out for quotes were only going to use our existing deck rails and build a roof on top. Decks by All Means tore off the existing boards (kept the foundational supports) and laid down a new decking. Our existing deck was only 7 years old so it didn't need replacing necessarily, but starting from scratch on the boards and railing was really a nice touch -- now the grilling deck matches the porch flooring in terms of newness. The permit process was handled smoothly and the deck really looks great. We are very pleased customers.

I had originally met with 4 different deck companies last year and Bob offered the best price. Delays on my end held the project up for several months and Bob waited patiently until we were ready to pull the trigger and still honored his original quote even though we had changed the design significantly. His crew was on the job by 7:30am each day of the project and were incredibly competent. They even helped figure out some design challenges. Top shelf experience every step of the way.

We contacted him for a quote and he was able to get started within a couple of weeks. It took about three-four weeks due a few small delays getting permits from the city.

ALTHOUGH WE ARE VERY PLEASED WITH HOW THE WHOLE THING TURNED OUT, THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE DEADLINE. I THINK THE BOSS GOT SICK OR SOMETHING BECAUSE IT TOOK THEM TWICE AS LONG AS WHAT THEY SAID IT WOULD.
