DECKS BY ALL MEANS

There were some minor cosmetic things I noticed after construction and just cleaned up myself, but all in all I think I got a very good deck at a great price. I would absolutely use Deck by All Means again.

Bob Means built a new deck for us from scratch. We provided plans and he was able to not only interpret what we wanted, but he made suggestions that really helped improve the design of the deck. His team on site (led by Butch) was professional and easy to work with. They cut no corners and dealt with minor issues that came up with skill and ease. The words of the final inspector were: "He always does great work".

Called in asking for quote to replace deck. Owner told my deck was to small and that this is the busiest he has been in 30 yrs of business. Owner told me he could come out and give me a quote but would likely overcharge me for the work and probably not worth it. I do appreciate honesty but there is room for tactfulness.

Seven years later and the deck is still in great shape! Bob and his crew do quality work using quality materials! One of his guys recommended treating the deck with TWP stain. TWP is FAR better than any other stain on the market! I use it every other year. This deck get direct sunlight and still looks great!

Bob and his team did an excellent job of building our deck. Bob took a lot of time with us at the onset, working with our ideas and helping us determine what would work, and more importantly what would not. His team was terrific. They were very pleasant to deal with, courteous, worked clean, (tarps on the ground to keep the deck clean while they worked), and were clearly excellent craftsmen truly building quality into the deck every step of the way. The result was a well designed deck that fit our need and the space we had for it perfectly. We would highly recommend these guys.

Bob understood what I wanted and was responsive to questions and changes. Once we settled on the design, he let me know when they would start. The project ran very smoothly. He took care of permitting and inspections. His team showed up each day and did the work without issue and we are thrilled with the results. Highly recommend!

Bob Means and his team were great. They do exceptional work and provided me with a wonderfully constructed and safe deck. The craftsmanship is top notch. Bob and his crew was a pleasure to work with! Even as I added a 12 foot 2nd tier deck just as they were finishing up! His guys showed up and worked hard every day! Bob and his crew did an excellent job on my new deck. He responded in a timely manner to texts and calls. He and his crew were punctual and professional. I would both recommend DBAM and hire them again.

Reached out to bob and he came out and tried to fix however the temporary patch did not work out, however he is committed to his craftsmanship and sent a crew later whom resolved the issue. I was overly impressed by the new deck but even more bobs ethics to stick behind his work. Thank you bob !!!

Bob was awesome to work with and his crew did an excellent job repairing the structure of our oversized deck and removing and installing new trex railings. We couldn’t be any happier. Bob was prompt and communicated regularly. We plan to use him again on another project later this year and will recommend him to our friends.

Overall, the project went smoothly. We had a bit of a bump with the start date and miscommunication about the size of the new deck. Bob handled this with extreme professionalism and corrected the situation quickly. Bob and his crew removed a small grill deck and added on a new significantly larger deck running the length of our house - on a highly sloped yard. He was able to preserve the existing outdoor stairs which saved tremendously on costs. Bob handled all permits and inspections. He also coordinated with a power washing and staining crew and electrician. He handled all of the details which was a huge help to us. Bob also handled a last minute addition of a gate to complete the job. The new structure is gorgeous! And quite sturdy - we joke that should a tornado every visit our street, the house may blow away, but we’re pretty sure that the deck will still be standing 😉 I have already recommended Bob to friends and would hire him again in a second if we need additional work done,

The whole experience was excellent. Normally I don't choose the least expensive provider in a contract company, but in this case I did and it was a fantastic experience. Not only was the work top notch and done on time but the price was significantly lower than the other bids I had. I would highly recommend Decks By All Means to anyone building extending or redoing deck in any manor. Quality people, quality product, quality price.

He called to cancel less than 30 minutes before he was suppose to be at my house to give me an estimate to build a deck. Please see what I have written above. He is not true to his word, unreliable and unorganized.

Very, Very professional. Bob (the owner) was on top of things. Even when we had some unexpected delays due to required city inspections, Bob kept his cool and worked through it all. Impressive!!

The builders were quick and professional, and they did a fantastic job with the deck and debris removal! The picture speaks for itself. Mr. Means was patient with my many questions, and worked patiently with me on some design tweaks to make it the deck we wanted.

The experience was good, but I did not proceed with any services with them.

We love the new deck! Bob made important changes to the design - eliminating steps leading out of the house and screened in porch to the deck, expanding its length and width, narrowing the staircase a bit to the backyard which allowed the landscaping below to remain the same, and extending the staircase so that it landed on the deck below instead of on the ground. The crew of 5-6 individuals was awesome. I was really impressed by the way the team worked together and discussed the best way to overcome the difficulties they were presented with (because the height of the deck increased, siding had to be removed and an electrical outlet was left close to deck level) . The crew was fast - the entire process was completed within a week of my initial phone call to the company! (Please note that the cost of service did not include staining which was performed by another provider).

Bob and his crew were a pleasure to work with and listened to my ideas and concerns throughout the project. They approached this old creaky house with sensible solutions that worked with the existing structure and created a lovely outdoor living space. Bob is very detail-oriented and goes over and above for his clients. Honestly, I've been meaning to write a review for months but put it off, because I don't like writing online reviews. But Bob really did a superlative job and his skilled crew deserve a high recommendation.

Everything went great. Bob's crew was able to build everything I wanted including some custom ideas. They even worked straight through and fixed the deck when a tree fell on it half way through construction without missing a beat, and without any evidence of the tragedy. Great crew! Attached photos were taken about 1/2 way through the staining process.

They did great work and priced very fairly. would recommend.
