DAVE'S ROOF REPAIR

On Thursday I noticed a ridge vent had come loose. I called Dave and asked when he would be available to come out and give me an estimate. He showed up the next afternoon as promised, gave me an estimate (including his discount) and completed the work promptly and professionally. He also discovered a smaller roof vent that had come loose and secured that as well. If I ever need roof repairs in the future, Dave will certainly be at the top of my "call-first" list.

Dave came at the agreed time, quickly saw the boots around the pipes were weathered and noticed the flashing around my chimney was lifted. He gave me an estimate which I thought was reasonable. I told him to do it, which he did in 15 minutes. He did not replace the old boots, but instead installed new boots over the old ones. It doesn't look so great, but it stopped the leak i had.

I called Dave on Saturday (expecting voice mail) but he was working and stated he would be able to come by the following Monday which he did. He addressed our concerns (secured loose shingles and repaired both pipe boots) and fixed another problem that we didn't know about. Dave is efficient, practical and reasonable. I am very pleased with the outcome and will definitely contact him for any future roof repairs. Thanks Dave!

Called Dave on Monday, 30 Jul at 08:00. Left a voice message. Dave called back before Noon and after listening to the repair needed said he was fully booked, but could come no later than between 08:00 & 09:00 on Saturday. He said he would call if he finished any other work sooner and arrange a time for the repair. (We had a couple of nervous days while waiting on Dave because of the possibility of thunderstorms, but he had done work for us before and the quality of his work and customer service has always been super, so we felt it was worth waiting until he could fit us into his schedule.) A little before Noon on Fri, 03 Aug Dave called our home number and left a message saying he was enroute and would arrive about Noon. When he arrived he called my wife's cell number and said the estimate was $200.00 for the repair. My wife was at meeting and said she could be home in less than 10 minutes and asked if Dave could go ahead and start the repair while she was en route. Dave said, he could do the repair and leave the bill under the front mat, so she didn't have to come home. My wife said we definitely wanted Dave to do the work, and that she was ready to head home any way and that we had some matching shingles in the garage (left over from an addition of some dormer windows we had done a couple of years ago). When my wife arrived Dave was working on the roof. He came down and got some shingles from the garage and showed my wife why the damage had occurred in the first place. The builder had used roofing nails that were about an inch shorter than they should have been (presumably to save money). Dave completed the repairs. He said he would take $10 off our bill because he knew we'd found him on Angie's List. Neither my wife nor I had remembered that there was an Angie's list discount. While we would have been 100% satisfied without Dave giving us the discount it was just an extra nice thing for him to offer it when he didn't have to do so.

Dave was quick to come out and give us an estimate. He was the third roofing company we contacted for an estimate. Dave was extremely thorough in his inspection and quickly worked us into his schedule to get the leaks fixed. Dave didn't mind installing a roof vent we had already purchased. The price was fair and Dave was the only roofing company that found the cause of the leaks. We have not had a leak since. One other roofing company we got a quote from wanted to replace our entire roof and the other company told us that it was the brick on our chimney that was bad and we needed to have a new chimney put in. Dave never tried to sell us something we didn't need and we appreciate his honesty and the excellent work he did. He showed up when he said he would, he finished the job when he said he would and he did not go over the estimate he gave us.

Arrived on time, polite and respectful. Took off shoes when entered the house. I had Dave installed an attic fan and my roof is one of the toughest kinds to work on. He was very patient and careful, very professional, cleaned up the pieces as he worked on the roof. I called a few contractors and Dave's price was competitive too.

He was recommended by someone. I rate him very highly and would use him in the future.

Dave stopped by to provide an estimate for patching a leak on my roof. His estimate was $100 less than another vendor's, and he said he could do the job right then. That meant I could avoid any additional leaking. He spent about an hour on my roof patching and sealing different areas and touching up some flashing. Then he provided an invoice and a guarantee that if any additional leaking occurred, he would come back free of charge until the leak was fixed. I had no more leaks after the next hard rain or anytime thereafter. I'm glad to find someone who can do a small job like this one quickly and efficiently.

Dave came out soon after I found him, was on time, did the work immediately, and was reasonable in price. The fix held up in the next years rainstorms. Very responsive, very expert at his inspections, and very professional. Highly recommend Dave for roof repair work.

He found a leak in the roof and fixed it. He was reasonably priced. I expected to pay, most guys walk in the door and you are charged $75. His time was fairly priced and he included a warranty, any problems in the next 3 years. I found that impressive. He is the whole company, his wife answers the phone and takes appointments. He did an excellent job, he took all kinds of time, he took hours and the fee was quite reasonable. If you broke it down hourly it was fair.

I called him and he called me back in 5 minutes and said he would be there by 1:30PM and was there within 2 hours after our call. He was very cordial and prompt. Overall, he did a good job!

When the vent kits, I had ordered, arrived I e-mailed Dave at about 07:30am on a Saturday and briefly described the job and asked him to call me when he could fit the work into his schedule. Dave called about 9:00am and said he could fit the work in later that same day. We agreed Dave would give us a call when he was en route as he was not exactly sure when he could arrive. He called back about 11:50 and arrived shortly thereafter. Dave looked at the roof/vents and said he'd need some shingles because the plastic vents were slightly larger than the new aluminum kits. Fortunately, because of some previous unrelated contractor work I had some correct/matching shingles in the garage. Dave had the new aluminum vents installed and the old plastic ones out and the job site cleaned up in about 40 minutes. The new vents are excellent! Dave did a wonderful job.

time After finding Dave on Angie's List I left him a message ion his website. He called me within 24 hours and we scheduled a day/time for the estimate. Dave arrived on time and as soon as we discussed the work he immediately went up on the roof and made a complete inspection and provided me with an estimate. It only took him about 15 minutes to give me the estimate. I asked Dave if he could please put us on his schedule for completing the work. Dave said he could begin the work immediately if that was okay with me. I agreed and he went to work. He used some of the spare shingles I had saved from the last time we'd had some work done. He used the paint I had on hand to paint the chimney cap. He also used the gutter hangers I'd bought to re-attach the gutter for us. The work was done quickly, neatly, and at a reasonable price. We couldn't be happier. I will call Dave again the next time I need any roofing repairs and based on his excellent work and pleasant and professional demeanor I have no hesitation in recommending Dave to others.

Called Dave and set up an appointment about three weeks out. It seems he's a busy guy. Since we didn't have a leak, this was fine. On the day of the repair, he showed up and got the job done. No problems.

Dave arrived on time, and did a good job as far as I can tell. A little more than I wanted to spend, but I think it was a fair price.

He is very thorough, he makes sure that he diagnoses the problem correctly so it will be fixed right the first time, and the problems are fixed when he is done. He came up with a way to fix our leak that wouldn’t cost us an arm and a leg and he warranties his work so he’ll come back for no charge if something happens.

Dave is fantastic. This is the second time I have had Dave's Roof Repair replace shingles. This is an invaluable service since the big roofing companies don't do this kind of work. Too small of a job I guess. Dave also walked around the entire house to be sure there were no other loose shingles. I really appreciated that. I also appreciate the fact that Dave responded so quickly to my call. Less than 24 hours. I consider Dave to be a real find when it comes to roof repair.
