Description of Work: I contacted Dave after my gutter cleaner noticed some shingles missing from my roof. Dave was very prompt in returning my phone call and in coming to my home to access the issue. He thoroughly examined the roof and accessed for damage and gave me a fair price for the necessary work. He repaired the damage in a timely manner.

Description of Work: We had some water spots in our second floor bath and then noticed some in laundry room on first floor under the bathroom, I went into the attic and saw some moisture stains and used a rubber spray to try and seal the leak. It did not completely work and then looked at AngiesList for roofing repairs with Cary, NC location (keep it local) and saw the many positive reviews for Dave's Roofing Repair. I called him late Thursday PM and he said he would come Saturday AM to check problem and give an estimate. He was very prompt, simple explanations, action to correct problem and a very good estimate. He said he could do job from roof with the problems on the roof ventialton and exhaust vent - for a total of three repairs. He stopped by on the 28th and was fixing problems as we were returning home. Explained what he did, his warranty and price discoiunt. He also offered to coveda heat spin vent to help cut down on heat loss above on compartment of attic. Very satisfied with Dave and he also gave referral for other projects and they were also list on AngiesList. Thank you for your great service.

 + -1 moreDave came out on a Friday for an estimate and had the repairs done the following Wednesday. The damage was over the garage and Dave could not only see it as soon as he walked up the driveway, but immediately spotted what was causing depression in the roof. The nails on the flashing had loosened up and let water under the shingles, which of course rotted the wood sheathing underneath. Dave came out Wed morningand had the repairs done that afternoon. Dave was fair, professional, and honest. Of course I hope I never need roof repairs again, but if needed, I will not hesitate to call Dave again.
Description of Work: Repaired/replaced an area of water damaged roof. Repaired the flashing at base of dormer and sealed flashing nails. Installed protective covers on all plumbing vents as preventative maintenance.

He removed the old, cracked silicone sealant on the vent pipe and then applied the proper type of sealant to the pipe and gave me a 3-yr guarantee. After he finished, he showed me the old silicone sealant he had removed and we both agreed that this product should never have been used. Dave is a highly competent contractor who knows his trade well. In addition, he is kind, considerate and easy to talk with. It is hard to find these two qualities together in a contractor. I highly recommend him.
Description of Work: Dave fixed a leaking vent pipe on the roof for the gas fireplace.

 + -1 moreNoticed water dripping in from around an exhaust pipe to the roof during heavy rainstorms. Contacted Dave and was glad for the quick response. He informed me the pipe boot was cracked and went ahead with the repairs that afternoon to replace all 5 pipe boots. Very grateful for the quick response and speedy repair. Would definitely contact him in the future if needed.

 + -1 moreDave Burnett examined the area of my roof that abuts the chimney when I became aware of a soft area of roof deck. The previous installation of flashing had been insufficient & water was getting around the flashed area, damaging the roof deck. He came on one day to examine the area and then returned another day, at my request, so he could coordinate the repairs with work I was having done on the chimney by another craftsman. Dave expertly replaced the wood and flashing and re-laid the shingles in one session, coordinating and cooperating with the other craftsman so as to achieve a total repair of the entire area, including both the chimney and the roof. Dave was professional, courteous, and helpful throughout, and very accommodating of our needs. It was a pleasure to work with him.

Unfortunately, when he found out I lived in Garner, (24 miles away from his business address), he told me that I was outside of his service area. He was prompt in responding to my call and professional, but I was surprised to hear that 24 miles was too far to for him to travel to do the work.
Description of Work: No services were performed because the owner, Dave, who did call me back on the same day that I called and was professional and courteous, said that my Garner address was out of his service area. With the company in Cary and my knowledge from Google Maps that it was only a 24 mile drive, I didn't expect to hear that.

 + -1 moreI called on a Wednesday and Dave came to the house on Saturday to provide an estimate. When he got here on Saturday and saw the situation, he had all the chimney flashing and matching new shingles on his truck so he offerred to make the repair immediately. The chimney area on the roof was still in the shade and thus he was able to work for a few hours on the repair even though the day was getting hotter near the noon time. I have been very pleased with the quality of the repair and there are no leaks. To my surprise, he even provided a 3 year guarantee for no leaks. Dave is very professional and knowledgeable about roofs. I would use him again and have already recommended him to other people.
Description of Work: Need roof repair around the chimney. Water was leaking on the east side of the chimney flashing into the ceiling of the storage room. Dave put new flashing on the top end of the chimney and along the east side of the chimney. There have been no leaks since Dave has done the repair and I am very pleased

He quickly made the repairs and did one additional job for a modest price. I would recommend and use his service again

 + -1 moreDave diagnosed the source of a leak onto my interior ceiling-- water was getting in through a couple of PVC exhaust pipes-- and quoted a price to install a couple of exterior boots as well as to correct a bulge in the shingles on the ridgeline. Gave me an explanation, price and date. He'd had experience with other houses in the development and thus had a leg up on understanding the cause; the point there is that others had hired him with good results. He was prompt, professional and courteous, and I would not hesitate to use him again or to recommend him to others.
Description of Work: Dave diagnosed the source of a leak onto my interior ceiling, and fixed it by installing rubber boots around the exterior end of two PVC pipes poking vertically through the roof; he also flattened and sealed a bulge in the shingles on the ridgeline.

When Dave came to make the actual repairs? he cleaned up and fixed their mess too!! Amazing. We came back to perform repair at the time he said he would. Once he was complete, you would neve know any work was done. The roof matched perfrectly. No debris on ground. The repair was very tricky and he had asked us to monitor it closely after the first heavy rain. We were impressed with his professionalism and reasonable rates. We were also specifically looking for someone who specialized in repairs, not replacements and we are glad to find him. He is now our go-to repairman for roofing problems

Dave billed the estimated amount (no surprises). Dave left no trace that he'd been working and the work appears to be of high quality. Of course, you'll note the theme here that DAVE did everything. He's a one man show and seems to take his business very seriously.
Description of Work: Dave showed up for free estimate, was going to fix it that very day but we were running out of daylight. Came back at the agreed time, did the agreed work, my roof is no longer leaking. Seems affordable and reasonable for the work done. Left ZERO signs that he'd been working, everything completely cleaned up and the roof looks just like new.

Description of Work: We have a non-working attic exhaust fan, and a leak in our sun room. We want to get an idea of how much it'd cost to fix the problems. We called and set up an appointment with Dave. Dave came out on time, even when it was raining really hard. He was very professional. Dave made recommendation on the fan and even suggested what we could do to save some money by testing out ourselves whether or not the exhaust fan was the problem or the temperature sensor. It was raining so hard so Dave said he would come back later to look at the roof. He did come later while we weren't home, and called us, as he promised, and gave us the detail of the cost to fix our problems.
