DAVE'S ROOF REPAIR

Dave came to inspect and repair a leak at the rear valley of our roof. After the inspection, he recommended two repair options using either plywood or metal sheeting. Given the age of our roof, he recommended to metal sheeting. It was installed quickly and cleanly and we have had no problems with leaks afterward. He gave a three-year guarantee from leaks for his work.

We have used Dave before and would hire him again for any roof repair!

Dave was very responsive to the our concerns when he arrived. After inspecting the roof and going into the attic he determined where the leak was coming from and was able to find out where the leaks coming from. He also fixed some of the damaged shingles on the roof. The work done was very professional and I was pleased with the price.

I called Dave last night during the heavy storms which led me to discover the leak in our attic. He came over the next morning and I showed him where the leak was coming from. He climbed up our metal roof and found a leak around the pipe and sealed it and everything around it to be thorough. I really appreciated his work. I trusted him and I think he did a great job. He gave me the 3 year leak guarantee, and I am very satisfied.

Having done roof repairs in the past myself, it can be difficult to diagnose exactly where the problem is when it's not raining. Dave was able to locate the problem quickly, and the repair worked beautifully when we got a heavy rain two days after his visit. Subsequent rain events have not produced any further leaks, so we are very satisfied with the work, and are happy we found Dave through Angie's list. Would highly recommend Dave to anyone with a problem roof!

I called Dave and described the problem. He said he could come 3 days later and do the repair for $175. I accepted and he came and did a good job. I did not need to be present and he left me a bill in my mailbox for me to send him a check. His quick response helped me a great deal as I am repairing items on my house that is under contract for sale.

Dave did a great job and was really good to work with. He was great at coordinating the repair and working around our schedule. Dave was also very professional, respectful of our home, clean and took his time to ensure the job was done right (also repairing some small things he saw when taking care of our job.) Next time we have a roof issue, we will be calling Dave immediately!

Everything went really good. Dave came out when he said he would, looked around and decussed what he'd have to do and how much it would cost. He was quick, professional, and skilled. The only thing I can say is $250 for a little over an hour of work is kind of expensive, otherwise no complaints at all.

I called Dave for an estimate and he came the next day and did the repairs. I am glad to have found a very professional and great guy like Dave here in Angie's list.

Repaired leaking roof flashing around chimney. He explained what he was likely to find, made suggestions as to what to correct the next time the roof was replaced, and showed me things along the way about the probable source of the leak, as well as giving me a written 3 year warranty against further leaks to what he repaired. And he did it the same day he gave me the estimate. I couldn't be happier.

He was in and out, very quick. It was a minor problem but one that required someone brave enough to go up on my roof and fix a water leak in the ventilation pipe. I enjoyed talking with him and he gave me his opinion on the overall condition of my roof.

I didn't realize until he arrived, but Dave had done a roof sealant repair for us about 7 years ago. He is very professional. I called on a Monday after a 2-inch heavy rain in Raleigh the previous Saturday. I had also called another company but Dave was first to return my call and called the same day, whereas the other highly rated company did not call back until the second day, but I know the roof companies were probably busy with calls after the heavy rains. I told Dave we saw some leaking on the ceiling during the heavy rains. He said he could come out on Friday of that week, which he did. He saw the leak spots and spotted an older stain I had not seen. He went out on the roof to determine the problem and came back and told me he could fix two loose ridge vents that would have caused both problems for $350 and would give a 3 year guarantee. I told him to please go ahead and do the repair. He came back down and told me he would also secure another ridge vent and could caulk a leak in our foyer window casing. I told him to do whatever was needed and to tell me what I owed. The total bill came to $400. and I feel certain we are in good shape for the next three years. Dave had previously come to fix a sealant and fixed them all while he was on the roof. I appreciated that.

I had identified a leak around the dryer vent in our attic. He fixed that along with other ventilation pipes. 3-year guarantee

Dave was very responsive and professional. However, I felt his pricing for the minimal time and materials needed for the repair were quite excessive. Hence, we parted ways without doing business, and I found another contractor to do the repairs for $175 versus $300 as quoted by Dave.

All went as planned and better.. Dave fixed the problems that we knew about and more.. I hope I don't have any roof problems in the future, but if I do--I'm calling Dave...

Dave arrived as scheduled. He checked out the situation , gave us a price and went right to work repairing our roof. He was very professional, efficient, and cordial. We will absolutely use his services in the future.

Repaired roof where there had been 3 sets of satellite brackets -- fixed spacers around drain vents on roof -- straightened out some shingles that were wandering.

Dave arrived on time and was efficient in his inspection. He gave me a reasonable estimate and, upon my approval, did the work quickly. He did find another pipe that he hadn't spotted at first, fixed several spots that needed "nail-downs", trimmed a couple of branches off the roof, and fixed those without charging more. Dave also gave me a fair response to my question "How much life do I have in my roof??"

I would give him an A+, he was excellent. He was good and I will say about them, they were prompt, on time, courteous and the guys worked the whole time they were here, it just wasn't that good a deal. The price was very reasonable.

We had a leak in our roof that showed up during a recent heavy rainstorm. I called Dave and he returned my call promptly to say he was on vacation for a week. He gave me the name of another contractor if I did not want to wait for his return. I called a roofing company and got very poor response - late returning my call, transferred me around inside their company until I got someone who said they would have someone call about doing an estimate in the next week but it would be at least two weeks to do the repair. I called Dave again (on vacation). He returned the call promptly and agreed to come out as soon as he returned.He came promptly at the appointed time. He went up on the roof and came back to say he could repair the leak and give me a three year guarantee for $400. I agreed. He finished in less than an hour, and gave me the receipt with the promised guarantee. I won't know if the repair is good until the next cloudburst, but even if it is, $400 for an hour's work seems pretty high. So he was prompt, courteous, and I have a lot of confidence in his work based on all the positive reviews on Angie's List, I was just taken aback at the price. I thought he was going to have to do a much more complicated and lengthy repair.
