DAVE'S ROOF REPAIR

I asked Dave to repair what I thought might be a roof leak that only occurs with "wind driven rain" from very strong storms. He suggested the issue was from my brick / mortar instead of from the roofing itself. He was able to perform the repairs (caulking / sealant) immediately after I accepted his estimate and offered a 3 year guarantee. He was professional, well spoken, and timely.Since this is an intermittent issue, I can't be sure it is truly fixed until the next strong thunderstorm. Hence, the N/A for quality in the rating. I will know sometime next summer when the intense weather returns.

He was responsive but I am surprised that he believed that this was too big a of a job. I had much higher expectations given such great reviews. Unfortunately, I feel like my time was wasted.

Called Dave's Roof Repair and the person (Dave) on the phone asked me to call another number to make an appointment. I called the other number and got a very pleasant lady which was Dave's wife. I made an appointment and on the day of the appointment Dave called me early to see if I could meet with him earlier, I said that I could not because I had another appointment scheduled. He met me at the scheduled time. I told Dave that we have had some leaks for some time (older home of the 60s) and we called out a plumber who tore into the ceiling to repair some pipes but we still had leaks and would he please check to see if the leaks were from the roof. Dave inspected the roof and said that he saw some areas that might be the reason for the leaks. He repaired the areas and some flashing near the chimney. It has been some time now, major storms with plenty winds and rain. No leaks! Dave guaranteed his work for 3 years. We will have to replace the roof before then but I trust that if we called him he would come out and fix. The price I thought his price was very good. I had a very good overall experience.

The whole experience was great. When I called to schedule the appointment, I was greeted live by a friendly voice and was able to set something up very quickly. Dave showed up during the agreed upon time period, listened to my concerns, did a walk around with me, and presented me with a very reasonable estimate. He then performed the work immediately, while continuing to answer questions and offer advice. He was very meticulous in performing the work and checking for any other issues. This is exactly the kind of company that I feel good about using, and I will be recommending them to others.

With rain storm Sunday night - noticed leak in ceiling of den and suspected vent pipe, when upstairs bathroom and bedroom closet over the ceiling showed no signs of being wet. Called Dave Monday AM and made appointment for 2-3 on Wednesday. He arrived on time, very friendly and after listening to me and visually inspecting the roof from outside and inspecting the attic - explained to me the problem and what he recommended to do to fix the problem. We discussed the overall condition of the roof and we discussed that the roof should be looked at in about 2 -3 years to see if needs to be replaced. He recommend an attic fan when I do replace the roof. Gave me a rough estimate of what I needed to start saving for to replace the roof. Very knowledgeable and I would definitely recommend him based on this experience.

Great work; very prompt and professional

Dave was fantastic. He was able to give me an estimate for the attic fan installation over the phone (which included the cost of the fan itself), and he came in under budget. He arrived promptly, assessed the best method and placement of the fan, and installed it without delay. He answered all my questions, was helpful, friendly, and professional. Once he had determined the best place to install the fan, he discovered there was wiring already available there, and the fan was up and running when he left. I feel very confident that it will work well and do the job for which it is intended, thanks to Dave.

We had 2 shingles missing from the roof. Called Dave and he came out the next day and assessed the situation. Not only did he replace the missing shingles but he crawled over the whole roof to make sure there was nothing else wrong. We have a very high pitched roof that is not easy to navigate but he did a great job. Was very polite and got the job done immediately. Great service. Would call him again.

Had scheduled for a Saturday morning, then he called asking if he could come by sometime after 6pm on the 21st which was fine with me. He ended up getting there close to 8:00, a little later than I expected, but we hadn't set a firm time so I can't fault him too much for that, and it was hot so it made sense to be on the roof later. He replaced 2 vent pipe caps and looked at the situation involving our soffit which was leaking. Unfortunately he didn't do soffit repair so we are in the process of finding someone else for this. The new cap stopped the existing leak. He also got a neighbor's frisbee off a different section of the roof for us.

Had leak near gutter in kitchen. He found and repaired the problem with the roof, and cleaned out the gutter near the leak as well. Also noticed a couple of other issues (hole in brick) that could have caused other leak and fixed that too. Contractor was prompt and reliable. I have used him for my roof repairs before and would do so again. I appreciate the prompt service.

Dave gave an initial quote by email and showed up on time and prepared with all the necessary equipment and supplies to do the job. He worked by himself, but very efficiently and the job was done in less than three hours.

I called Dave, he came over within 15 minutes, gave me an estimate for the work that I originally wanted and pointed out another problem as well. Price was reasonable, he started work right away and was done that day. Great service, very knowledgeable. Shared a great amount of insight about my roof. Included 3 year warranty. I called Dave Burnett and made an appointment for the following week at a time that was convenient to both of us ( a day I would be working at home.) He showed up on time, diagnosed the problem, gave me a fixed price, mades the repairs, and also inspected the rest of the roof and hammered in a few loose nails here and there. It has rained since he was here, so I know the repair works. He also guaranteed his work for 3 years.

I found shingles blown from my roof, called Dave's Roof service, he arrived the next day and performed the necessary repairs at the time. Very pleasant, and professional. Price was a bit high.

Dave was extremely responsive and very reasonable. He came, looked at the roof, made the repairs and was on his way all in the same day. We were very happy!

Dave started out on a good foot arriving promptly at 8AM for the estimate, which to me is important . He came armed with supplies and the price was fair ($275.00) so he started the repair immediately. He also checked over the rest of the roof and did some caulking in a few places that needed it. I only hire people who are knowledgeable and experienced (he's been in the business for years and has excellent comments on Angie's list) and also must have a pleasant attitude. If the last quality if missing, I will not do business with someone. Dave was great! He explained what was needed and offered suggestions to deter this happening again. I've never had roof damage before from an animal and this one seemed determined to get in. Dave pointed out animals tracks all around the house, front and back. His promptness, quoting a good price and having the materials with him to do the repair right away really helped to ease my mind. The completed job was excellent! My father was in the trades and one thing he always did was clean up after himself. When I hire someone I want them to do the same thing. Dave did not disappoint in this category either and I didn't even have to ask to make sure that he would. I offered him a trash bag for the old shingles and wood and he declined, saying he'd take it all with him. He even swept off some leaves that had accumulated on the roof and then swept them off the walkway. I would absolutely hire Dave again in a heartbeat if need be and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Dave was very flexible with our (re)scheduling. He showed up on a Saturday and did the repairs on the spot. His price was fair and provided excellent service. He was honest and straight forward in diagnosing the problem without any salemanship (compared to the other quote we received). This level of Service honestly deserves an "A". I wish the cable comany, heating company and all my other vendors were this professional.

The job went fine. So far, so good. I was very impressed by his expertise and the way the job was done. I liked the ease of doing business with him. He was very up-front about the details. The job was done in about two hours; he couldn't have done it any better.

Dave provided a prompt estimate, returned within a few days to do the repair, and did a great job . . . we haven't had any trouble since! I would absolutely use this service again.

Dave promptly responded to my email through angieslist and set up an appointment within a couple of days. On the day of the appointment he was on time, explained what he was planning to do and also gave the exact estimate. He was very professional and completed the job quickly. Overall it was a great experience dealing with Dave's roof replair.

We were happy with them. The roofer told us on the phone that it would take two weeks before he could get to our house. He also told us that he had another number if there was an emergency. He was extremely polite and professional. He explained all aspects of the problem. His explanation was totally consistent with my diagnosis of the problem. He crawled up in the attic and the crawlspace to look at it. He didn?t have to do that, but he put himself in great physical inconvenience. I didn?t compare his price with anyone else, but he spent 4 hours doing this. So I felt that his price was totally fair. It was a simple repair. He could have made it complicated, but he didn?t. He was very straightforward and honest. He is a craftsman. He is proud of the work he does. He had numerous references. Other people in our housing development have used him as a result of my comments. He was terrific. I have recommended him to others and I think he has made a career from my posting. I would definitely use his services in the future too.

He was pretty professional. I called a couple of other roofers and it looks like they were pretty busy. I did check his references and everyone had good things to say about him, I talked to at least 3 people. I didn't comparison shop so I don't know if the price was high. He did his work professionally and he did it in the time he told me would. He also gave me a guarantee on his work. I also had him check the whole roof for other leaks.

Arrived as scheduled to provide estimate. Provided advice which was not influenced by cost. Repairs were done on time and effectively.
