It went very well.

the outcome is great; we were able to fix a wall that was likely going to give way in our background, create a new patio and create a terrace down one side of house.

He came and spent a lot of time with me and gave me a lot of information. He was going to give me a quote in a week and I never heard back from them. I even called and left him a voice mail in case he had an incorrect email. He seemed like a good guy and I was looking forward to hearing back from him. He spent at least an hour or more with me. It was a big job and maybe I turned him off saying that I may wait and do the job next year. I enjoyed interacting with him, but the experience leaves much to be desired.

Artworks kept to their schedule and price. Mike Curtis and crew came by to survey progress during an overabundance of dry weather, and made additional suggestions about watering. He offered to replace one patchy area if needed. However, that area established itself and now I have a nicer lawn than before. I hope to use his company in the future to correct backyard sod and drainage issues.

We've used Artworks twice. Mike is one of the few landscapers I could find in the Triangle who will draw up a landscape design so that you can do the work yourself. Our yard was totally discombobulated from the previous owners but we didn't want to spend thousands paying someone to fix the mess, so he came out for a few hours and talked with us about what we wanted. We felt that he really understood what we were looking for, and that he had a true knowledge and appreciation for the plants he recommended putting in. We're going to attempt to do the work ourselves, but if we can't we're definitely going to get Artworks to do it. We also have a 15'x15' pond in our backyard that was more of a marsh--a total mosquito pit. We had Mike and his crew fix it. They had it finished on short notice during a busy time, and it looks fantastic.

Excellent. Mike quickly responded to my request for a quote and spent an hour evaluating the site for slope and size. He provided several suggestions for how best to complete the work and options to stay within our budget. Mike and his team explained how the installation would be completed and answered my many questions along the way via email. The work was completed in 2 weeks (delays due to rain) and it is absolutely beautiful. The circle kit he added made all the difference. After installation, Mike came to complete a final walk-through and explained how best to care for the patio (eg, sealant). His team was professional, courteous, efficient, and the work was completed exactly as quoted with no surprises. I could not be happier with the result and would highly recommend Artworks.

We had previously used Mike Curtis, owner of Art Works, for installation of a new patio with pavers . We were so impressed with his workmanship and attention to detail that we decided to hire him for our landscaping project. We were impressed once again. His attention to detail and creativity helped transform our back yard. His men also worked tirelessly and were very courteous throughout both projects. I would not hesitate to use Artworks in the future.

I had a great experience with this company. The owner, Mike Curtis, arrived promptly for an estimate months ago and he was very knowledgeable and courteous. When he arrived to begin the patio removal he discovered that the cement patio thad needed to be removed was 12" thick and not the typical 4". Although removal would take additional time and add to his labor cost he did not attempt to renegotiate the estimate. He and is crew worked diligently to remove the slab for the next 2 1/2 days without complaint. The next phase of the project involved excavating the site further and choosing pavers. He brought us to the supply house where we examined all materials as he patiently provided details about each of the products. Mike and his crew were extremely polite and hard working and very meticulous involving the installation process. They were always willing to answer questions and discuss options. I had to convince them to take breaks. The patio is amazing and I am so impressed with Artworks that intend to use Mike and his crew in a few week to landscape my entire backyard. I highly recommend this company.
