The receptionist was very friendly during my call. She was able to identify an open appointment time for the same day. The technician arrived in the middle of the two hour appointment window. He examined the problem, identified the right tool and solved the issue within 10 mins. Given the ease of the solution and the short amount of time required, it would have been nice to have a lower charge. However the amount quoted is in line with their standard service call rate.

Great. I have used Sparrow and Sons for years. They are the only plumber I ever call.

Came the same day due to this emergency; have also used in the past for less urgent jobs. Very nice and competent plumbers, nice to be able to rely on this family business

One fixture needed a new switch. The other was diagnosed as a power supply problem that included digging up a wire. We stopped the repair at that since I could do the digging and replacement.

Another plumber several months ago spent a;long time trying to figure out why the why the hot water faucet handle fell off. then he said the faucet had been installed incorrectly and he would have to reinstall it . Sparrow & Sons identified the simple problem and took care of all 3 faucets (6 handles0 in 10 minutes and only charged me for the service call. also showed me how to do it so he could save me a service call next time. LOVE them!!!!!!

Sparrow was excellent. They came to check out a pressure problem, and found there was no problem. They came when they said they were going to come, they did what they said they were going to do, and they clearly did not rip me off.

It is not clear what will happen re the problem of getting hot water immediately to upper levels of house (in the winter it can take 5 minutes with multiple faucets open before getting hot water), but at least they are thinking about what can be done given the fact that 2 water heaters are apparently hooked up together. The cost of placing a sink in the mudroom was reasonable; unfortunately at this point it may be difficult to find a small enough one to fit the area. None of these issues reflects on the plumbers.

The workers arrived within the 2 hour window. They got right to work and replaced the old toilet. They cleaned their work area moderately well. They were polite and respectful throughout. I have worked with other plumbers who are less expensive, however I always return to Sparrow's because they are dependable and do high quality work.

This was not a simple plumbing job. He evaluated the shower faucets and provided complete set of options and recommendations. The plumber was easy to work with and was frank about problems and costs..

Went well, did a nice job. Just was a bit expensive for replacing a silly rubber gasket.

removed the underpinning of the commode seating to the floor/plumbing (done not according to code) and replaced it will code compliant parts and seated the commode with stable supports. I has been a year since the work and everything is working as it should. No problems.

Everything was done promptly, efficiently, and with good cheer. The counter top around the sink broke during installation, so Sparrow had to reschedule the sink hookup and that was done as quickly as possible. We were without a sink for a long while, but I don't blame Sparrow for that; they rescheduled the sink hookup in short order.

Showed up 1.5 hours late. Spent 15 minutes on site to confirm source of leak. Used my ladder and his light. I called their office as the tech was leaving and they advise the charge would be 50 dollars because the tech was late. Then they billed us 95 dollars and claimed the tech did work that he never performed. Call them several times to dispute the bill and remind them of the circumstances but they would not correct the bill.

Initially they showed up on the wrong day to do the work. I had to tell them I was traveling on business so could not let them into the house and I had requested another dated. I requested they set the heat at the same level it was currently set. They did not. It is much lower. As I have two water heaters for this house, they changed the setting on the old one to the lower temperature also. Then they told me I would have had to have signed a form to get them to do that. They did not tell me that when I made the verbal request. Another plumber came in and set the water temperature higher for me.

Wow, we heard good things about Sparrow, but they exceeded our expectations. We called late last night (around 10pm) and got a very courteous receptionist who took down our information. At 8am this morning, we got a call back with a quote. Within a couple hours, someone was here to survey the scene. And a couple hours after that, they were back with the water heater to begin installation. It only took about two hours, and I barely knew they were here. Everyone we met seemed professional and like they knew what they were doing. They weren't able to get our old water heater out of the tiny crawl space, but they definitely tried their hardest! As for quality of the product, I can't accurately assess. Our old tank was over 30 years old before biting the dust (which I know is somewhat rare). The one they installed today is an electric 50 gal Rheem with a .91 EF (we were hoping for something closer to .93) and only has a six year warranty. That seems pretty standard across all brands, but also rather chintzy. We were quoted a fair $1100. I haven't received the bill yet, so I can't confirm the final cost or that the billing process is a smooth one. But seeing how efficient and professional everything else was today, I'm hopeful it won't be an issue. Thanks, Sparrow!

I wasn't at home, but I had called him and asked him to come when he did some work for my next door neighbor. He fixed the broken pipe and installed a new outdoor faucet, but did not think to reconnect the hoses that were right there. I have not been billed, but my neighbor has and I believe she received my bill as well, although there was nothing to indicate that that was so. In the past, I have called and received no call back. Also, last year there was a huge mistake on the bill, which I am happy to say they promptly corrected. What I am concerned about is their organizational ability with regard to customer service.

Although two technicians arrived for this job, only one was physically able to do the heavy duty work. Unfortunately, he also was not feeling well but proceeded with the installation. The area where the HWH was installed was left with puddles of silt and rusty water (on a brand new moisture barrier in my crawl space) and other debris. I contacted Sparrow afterwards and they did send someone to the house to attempt to clean the now-dried puddle areas. I had heard that Sparrow has an excellent reputation for quality work and attention to detail, such as leaving the home in a clean state after completion, but I must say that I was disappointed with the way in which this job was executed.

Dennis was good at communicating from start to finish. He arrived early. His inspection was thorough and clear.

They were good. My overall experience was good. They did a good job. We have a townhouse in Capital Hill that we rent out and we use them to go up there when there's a plumbing problem. As far as I know they left everything fine and the tenants don't complain.

They're very good. They did great.
