Description of Work: Rice Glass installed a new shower enclosure partial frameless and it is very sturdy and good quality product. Initial person came and took the measurements and provided estimate, then scheduled installation went smooth. I have called them up again for different work to repair shower leak, the did good job.

Description of Work: They promised a screen door by the end of the week. I went there, and it had not even been started. They apologized, but I had to wait nearly another week before it was done. That said, they did another excellent job.

Description of Work: Fabricated and replaced glass in two windows and an entrance doorway that had seal failures. This long term supplier was very fast responding to my online inquiry, sales rep was knowledgable, quote was fair, installation crew were exceptional in their professionalism and expert work, and solved an unexpected dimension problem in the field. One item for improvement would be for sales rep to acknowledge receipt of my order by email. I almost went to another firm absent word from him on scheduling and confirming the order

Description of Work: We had Rice's install the large glass enclosure around our bathtub and shower. Jeff came out promptly for a free estimate and measured the area. He used tape on our tile, so as not to put marks on it, which we appreciated. He sent the estimate via email. We received 3 estimates, and Rice's was the best -- they were also the best rated and most well-known company. Perfect! | |When I called with some questions, Jeff answered them all patiently and even sent along some extra information when I didn't understand something. The actual ordering process was a breeze. | |When the glass arrived, Brad called promptly to set up an appointment for installation. The team arrived at the designated time. The guys were friendly and they got right to work. | |The quality of the product and the work is just great, exactly what we were looking for. Our entire interaction with Rice's has been pleasant - from the estimate, to the scheduling, to the actual work, and even to the billing. We will recommend them to anyone, and we'll use them again if we have future glass needs.

Description of Work: They installed a semi-frameless shower enclosure. Dealing with Rice's is like stepping back in time. Overall, that is a good thing. I had old-fashioned interactions with almost everyone I dealt with--very friendly, and nice finished product. What I didn't appreciate was how long everything took (scheduling for measurement and then installation)--I had to initiate phone calls to them on more than one occasion to make sure the process continued to move along. But overall, it was a positive experience.

Description of Work: We had Rice's Glass reinstall a glass custom built windowpane in our dining area. Rice's Glass had installed approximately 20 new panes in the home 9 months ago when we inspected the home and found many of the window seals to be broken. One of these new panes got a crack in it, not due to their installation, but probably due to screwing a handle too tightly into the glass pane.

+ -1 moreAfter a rock cracked my windshield I called Rice's. They were able to give me a same day appt. To have it replaced. However, I forgot to call my insurance company, so they waited while I did so at their store. They spoke with the claims person and faxed them the info. Then I went away for 2 1/2 hours and came back to find a brand new windshield (which was even upgraded to a tinted top portion). I only had to pay my deductible, and I was ready to go.

+ -1 moreThey were prompt in coming out to measure the space, but then informed us that they do installation, but would not be able to reframe the area to take a new window. We hired a carpenter separately, who framed the area. Rice's came out an installed the window, but then the carpenter had to come back and finish the molding and outdoor framing.
Description of Work: Had a new vinyl window installed in a brick house, replacing an old wood-frame window.
