This company is much more thorough with their checks/procedures than prior companies we have used in the past. Highly recommend! Alberto was the tech & he is excellent--explained things, showed us things, called before he arrived as we had requested and was even early. Was thorough and efficient with his time.

I can't say enough good things about Boer Brothers. I talked to several companies about my failing air conditioner. Cody, the Boer Brothers rep, felt like the most honest, informed, and helpful rep by far. He didn't try to sell me a furnace I didn't need. He helped me choose the best unit for our situation. He pointed out some improvements he wanted to make (new boxes where the ducts come together, new attic filter system). He worked with me very patiently on some scheduling challenges I had to navigate. He was terrific. And the installation team was great. They were skilled and courteous. They solved a few little problems discovered along the way. They were prompt. Cody had said great things about the company's installation teams, and I wasn't surprised to see what solid work they did. It was an A+ experience, and I'll recommend Boer Brothers to anyone who asks.

I had a series of cascading issues with an 8 yr. old heat pump installed by a company no longer in business and diagnosed incorrectly by 2 other companies. Eric, the technician, persisted, and persisted, as replaced defrost control boards stopped working - talked to service reps at Lennox, other Boer tecnicians, and even a dealer for another brand! I so appreciated the collaborative effort which seems to be a hallmark of Boer Bros. The problem was finally addressed and it's so clear to me that my heat pump is functioning at a much higher capacity than it has for the last year. I'm very grateful for the professionalism and the kindness of the technicians and the office staff. I'd go nowhere else!

We got bids from several HVAC companies and did a lot of research as our two units were 15 years old and needed to be replaced. Boer brothers bid was the most affordable and that's because they were not trying to "oversell" us on efficiency or filtering systems. There work crew did a fantastic job. They were meticulous and efficient. The whole change out took 2 days and they worked hard. You could tell by the little things that they are concerned about quality (electrical outlets labelled neatly, gaslines painted, ducting redone and retaped/glued neatly, etc). They had to take out some of the trim to fit the old units out through the attic stairwell and they fixed and repainted the trim neatly. Overall it was a great experience and we highly recommend them and their team. I will definitely use them for future HVAC work.

We had three bids on this job which ultimately went to Boer Bros. Cody came out to our house in September and answered all our questions thoroughly. He also answered follow up questions over the phone and via email in a prompt manner. We had a new 3.5 ton Trane heat pump, air handler and digital Trane thermostat. installed over the course of two days. The first crew to arrive took out the old oil furnace and air handler from under the house and prepared the site for a new air handler and heat strips in place of the old oil furnace. They hauled off the old furnace and heat pump. The next wave of workers brought the new air handler and Trane heat pump and installed them. Next came the electricians who ran a new power line from the circuit breaker box under the house to the air handler. The next day the final HVAC inspector came by to test the whole system. I was impressed by how well coordinated the whole process was and how everyone worked together in succession to make the installation process fast and efficient. Their cleanup after the job was very good. The were also good to take off boots before entering the house or wear booties. Boer Bros. also coordinated a $200 rebate from Duke Energy which arrived about a month after the installation. This was for the energy efficient Trane heat pump. We've had the new heat pump and air handler for a month now and are very pleased with the heat they produce (in cold weather) and the increased efficiency of the Trane heat pump. It doesn't cycle on and off nearly as much as the old Amana heat pump we took out. I will definitely use Boer Bros. for HVAC inspections and maintenance in the years to come.

It was a hot NC summer and our AC unit decided to take a vacation during a heat wave. We could not cool the upstairs beyond 83 degrees and knew we needed to replace a ~20 year old AC unit. They arrived on time and were on sight for the entire day of the install. The overall install went well, even when presented with challenges when installing the unit. The crew was very careful to properly install parts on the unit for horizontal operation before bringing the unit inside, as well as fitting the unit into a very tight space in the attic. During the install the crew was thorough and fixed two things we didn't notice. First they found and fixed a kink in the copper refrigerant line and removed it and second they repaired the water drainage for the new HVAC unit so that it could drain properly.

They're good. They saved us a ton of money because the patch stuff together.

Our air conditioner went at a house we rent out. It was most likely an evaporator coil leak, and given the age the system, we decided to replace the entire system. They were very prompt in helping decide what unit would work, giving an estimate and coming out to do the work. Great communication, friendly and very reasonably priced. We're going to use them for all our HVAC needs.

They're very good. They came very fast. We needed them because the system had quit on us. They came really fast. They fixed it. They were very competent. The price was very reasonable. I had to call them to schedule a preventive maintenance of our air conditioner and I'm going to do that probably sometime next week.

My air conditioner received routine maintenance. The person working on the air conditioner was thorough and also offered to change my air filters. I was very satisfied with the service.

This company has superior customer service! Cory is a gem. He was prompt coming to the house to give me a price quote. He spent over an hour examining my duct work to determine the feasibility of the project at no cost to me. He also came to the house the day of the job to ensure the technicians knew exactly what to do. The technicians were very respectful and took great care with my house to ensure my hardwood floors wouldn't get scratched. They did a wonderful job cleaning the site when they were done. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone and plan on using them again.

I waited until spring to write a review because I wanted to see how I liked my new heat pump. I love it! It's already saved me over $1000 in propane costs over my former propane furnace, and the electric bills are almost the same as last year, which means that $1000 plus is actual savings The installation was magnificent! I sleep during days. They arrived right on time, and did not wake me up once. Worked quietly and efficiently, installing the heat pump in a very small space, piece by piece. They cleaned up so well, no one would have known they had ever been here. An immaculate job. The installation crew was the kind of people one feels completely comfortable having in one's home--very important these days. The heat pump has worked perfectly all winter. BTW, the price listed is after the Angie's List $250 discount. I highly recommend Boer Bros for any job they advertize.

Specifically though, I wanted express my appreciation for their customer service. I had some billing questions from a previous service call and Michelle was very patient and helpful in resolving my concerns, so thank you!!

Arrived on time and was very committed to finding the problem and repairing it- we had a short someplace in the electrical wiring of the heat sysytem

It went excellent. I highly recommend Boer Brothers. They are very competent and I have total confidence in their work. They fixed problems caused by another service provider. They had come out on a service call a month or so earlier when I called about my drainage problem and humidity. Comfort Engineers had installed the system but the drainage was not working properly and they had overridden the safety device. This caused me great concern. So I called Boer Brothers. The service technician told me that the drainage did not meet inspection criteria and told me to call the Orange Co. Inspector's office. They said I had to do this in order to get Comfort Engineers to comply. I had called Comfort Engineers earlier and they refused to fix the problem and would not work on my system. I called the Orange County Inspector's office and they advised me to call the NC Board of Examiners and make a complaint in order to force Comfort Engineers to fix their problem. So I made a complaint with the NC Board of Examiners and they notified Comfort Engineers. Comfort Engineers then agreed to pay Boer Brothers to fix the problem. Boer Brothers came out promptly and fixed the drainage problem and provided photos to prove the problem was fixed. The problem is now safely resolved. I am very grateful to Boer Brothers for fixing the problems of drainage. I thank them greatly and am happy for their work and professionalism.

We were totally pleased with our repair experience. The company that originally installed the mini-split system for our bonus room is no longer in business, so we called Boer Brothers based on reviews here at Angie's List. They were able to send out a technician, Eric, the next day. He was knowledgeable about our type of system (not the most common), and was quickly able to diagnose the problem. He even researched with the manufacturer - while on VACATION - to confirm the part required and that it would be covered under warranty (which we did not expect). When the part arrived, he came back out to install it with no trip charge. Our system is once again working and Eric did the extra effort that saved us almost $400!

Problem is, it was a no go. Never got a call or response action.
