Description of Work: They cleaned gutters and cleared roof of debris: $135.00. I also had some gutter protection issues. They offered a rugged black aluminum grid with a fine mesh to keep debris out of the gutter. For $189.00, I had them install 41 linear feet with this material. I had them do about half my gutter system, since the other half contained a plastic grid still in decent condition. So far, it has performed well. The cleaning was quoted in advance over the phone and they kept to their estimate. I was happy with their work and I had them back in the fall to clear the tops of the gutters again. Like many of you, my house is built into the side of a mountain. The front of my house from the gutters down is about two stories. I was particularly happy to have someone else do this job at a reasonable price. Make sure the young men use their harnesses when working over high areas.

+ -1 moreI found this company through Angie's List and they had no problem giving me the advertised discount. They arrived early and went straight to work. The job took about an hour. The crew was knowledgeable and seemed very thorough. They also gave me a verbal quote for gutter guards (which I asked for) and followed up with a written quote. I will definately use them again. I have scheduled for them to give me a call next Fall.

+ 0 moreThis was a great group to work with. They were courteous, clean, and efficient. They showed up when they said they would be there and finished on time. I couldn't have asked more of a crew. Worth noting is there ability to take any major credit card. They're invoices and receipts are professional and easy to understand. It's the little things like this that make this group stand above the rest.
Description of Work: The Higher Ground crew came in and removed all the old guttering, drip edge, and downspouts and replaced with new. More importantly they replaced 3 inch guttering with big 6 inch guttering, they also replaced small downspouts with a larger size more appropriate with my home's size (approximately 2100 sq. ft.).

+ -1 moreEveryone from this company that I spoke with was very nice and personable. They were able to come out the day after I called and do the work right then. Two men worked for about 2.5 hours. They made sure I was pleased with the work before leaving.
Description of Work: Pressure washed the front of our house that does not get sun and mildews badly. It is a 3-story house counting the basement, so they had to climb pretty high!

+ -1 moreThey did the gutter repair very efficiently. They gave us a huge estimate, huge in the manner that it was multi-detailed but it was very well done. They weren't the cheapest, but they actually got the work done. We got other estimates where the people wouldn't show up to get the work done so cheap doesn't matter. Their quality of work was perfect. Their responsiveness was really great. We will be using them again.
Description of Work: Higher Ground Rainwater Systems repaired a gutter for us this summer. They also gave us estimates for a set of complex needs that we have. We have a metal roof so we had to get snow breakers, gutters, and also a rain capturing system.

When we ran out of the gutterstuff material, they put their own 'gutter guard' material in the places we needed it at no additional charge (about 10' worth). Overall, the Higher Ground crew did a fine job and we would hire them again. We did have them give us a quote on a rainbarrel system but decided to do it ourselves although their quote was very competitive ($150 per barrel installed).
Description of Work: We had Higher Ground come to our home to install a gutter system we had purchased online (www.gutterstuff.com). The crew cleaned our gutters first and then installed the material into our gutters.

I spoke to someone at the company and they came out to my house, measured the gutters, looked at the problem I was having with some washout, and gave me suggestions on what they could do to help. They quickly sent me an estimate which I agreed to pay, and within a week the work was done. Very professional.

+ -1 moreThey were supposed to come out to give me an estimate for guttering, but they didn't show up at the appointment time, and didn't call either. I received an email almost 3 hours later saying that the rain had kept them from showing up on time, and that they wanted to reschedule. I emailed them back and said that I had gone with someone else (someone who showed up 2 hours after they were supposed to), and they emailed me back again asking what they could do to improve their customer service! Since they weren't considerate enough to call before the appointment time to reschedule, and had me waiting around for nothing, I decided not to use them, and explained that to them.
Description of Work: I wanted to get an estimate for extreme water runoff over my existing gutters.

+ 0 moreThey do good work. However, they did not show up when we expected them and we had to call them to see when they would show up. Their initial assessments were problematic and had to be adjusted. They did eventually provide a good solution, but that required a few changes. I would use them again, but they are not without concerns.
Description of Work: Higher Ground did a fix of our gutter, but, unfortunately, the fix entailed a large, round conduit that interfered with our neighbor's property. We finally came to an agreement to fix the situation, but, unfortunately, Higher Ground ordered the wrong material twice. They finally did a good job, but it took a few iterations. I think they are good, but it took a while for them to fix the situation. Their final solution was quite good, but their interim solutions were substandard. Nonetheless, they did give us credit for their substandard solutions. Despite all of the difficulties we experienced, I would use them again.
