We were extremely satisfied with their work.

After reviewing Angie's List for contractor options, I called Higher Ground. I had some fascia boards and gutter I wanted replaced and I wanted gutter guards installed around the entire home. Because of weather it took a week to get an appointment. The crew called before arriving, were curteous and professional, and did an outstanding job. I would definitely recommend them and intend to call them again soon to use their window cleaning service.

Overall they were good in services.

I had to work so I made sure someone would be at the house to pay the crew. NO show, NO call and NO message. From the recent postings, seems that on the 16th they did good, 17th problems were beginning and on my scheduled day, the 18th, everything fell through! Not professional at all to not call if you cannot make it. Other peoples time has a value too!

First, they did not show up for the scheduled job, despite the fact that they gave me a phone call reminder and an email reminder. They left a message on my answering machine that said they were running behind and needed to reschedule for the next week. I understand that sometimes jobs take longer than expected and disrupts the schedule, but I organized my day around being home for this job and it was inconvenient to have them not show up. A call later from one of the supervisors helped to abate this annoyance and he was very apologetic, saying that they were supposed to call me earlier to reschedule. When they got here, I informed the crew of 2 young men that we had plumbers working outside and to be careful not to blow debris on them. They made a crack about "plumbers are used to getting dirty" but then proceeded to blow debris on the plumbers, leading the plumbers to yell at them. Again, its understandable that blowing debris is going to be messy, but some courtesy and warning would be in order. I am likely to try another service in the future due to the lack of professionalism.

The manager gave me a estimate and they did great work. They finished before the scheduled time.

I looked at several gutter installers. Highr grounds prices we much better. They arrived whaen they said they would and completed in a day. My gutters look great. They even modified the way some of my down spouts were installed to make the water run offf better of the make them look betteer on the house.

The amount spent reflects the fact that we have so many windows, doors with windows, and transom windows, and the majority of them are quite large. We had not washed them since we moved into the house in 2006, and all I can say is, despite the cost, we'd do it more often now! What a *difference* it made. Incredible! The two young men who did the work were both courteous and conscientious--and they cleaned everything beautifully--no streaks and no leftover smudges. Much of their work was done while standing on very tall ladders, and despite that, they did a perfect job. They were well organized, too, starting at the top and working their way down. It took them all morning long, from 8:00 AM to noon. The only exception to their perfection was that they forgot to replace a lower-level window screen, and I didn't notice it myself until a couple of days after they had left. They may have simply lost track after having finished 30+ windows, doors, and transoms already! Believe me, it's a small thing and easy to forgive because the job they did was simply superb. The company was excellent when it came to returning my calls and their friendly professionalism was much appreciated. They also accommodated my request that they come as early as possible that day. Although I still haven't put that wayward screen back (I'm not sure how to do it), if I were to call and ask, I have no doubt that they'd send someone over right away to do it. I should make that call . . .

Scott responded quickly to my VM that I left & gave me a minimum charge estimate of $195 for gutter & installation less than 30 feet. They came the following week as they said they would to check what size & color I would need to match the rest of the guttering for my home. Jim called to confirm my need & the gutter & downspout were installed the same day he came. The price charged was for a larger size gutter & downspout than the average, & for an almond color, not the usual white color, for approximately 20 feet gutter & downspout w/elbows. I was pleased w/their promptness & the professional looking outcome of their work. The old gutter, downspout, & other attachments were removed, & it was as if nothing had ever hapended, but I now had a brand new gutter that matched the rest of the house!

Higher Ground is a fabulous company to work with! They have been cleaning our gutters since the first year they were in business. This is the first time I have used their Window Cleaning services but it definitely will not be the last! They showed up on time, after contacting me in advance to let me know when they would be arriving and went right to work as soon as they got inside. They took the time to point out to me a couple of issues with the windows that were created by the painters we had used. Because there were so many windows, I really thought they would have to come back the next day to finish the outside of the windows but they were able to finish everything in one day! My windows sparkle and I am so happy with the job they did. If you ever have need of any service that Higher Ground performs, I HIGHLY recommend them!! You won't be disappointed!!

I use them semi-regularly and plan to use them again. I'm happy with their work.

I sent an email Sunday evening. They came the next day, called and told us what they found and what it would cost to fix it. We approved it and they took care of it that day. We were very pleased with them and would highly recommend them.

Two representatives arrived at scheduled time, started working immediatelly, and finished within a couple of hours. The were courteous and professional. Windows and screens look great.

I checked Angie's list for companies in the Asheville area that do gutter screening installation and contacted the 2 with the highest ratings. Higher Ground gave me a quote over the phone, and their quote matched what they charged (including an Angie's List discount). They were able to get the job done within a week.

Great work! Our roof is very steep. The two young men were very careful with their ladders to make sure they didn't harm our shingles or gutters. They arrived on time and worked quickly but thoroughly. We'll have them back next year!

They’ve done very well overall! They’ve been thorough, organized, and provide additional services whenever needed. We’ve used them for a number of years and they’ve always done a very good job. We’re very happy with them.

They also send out emails with appointment times that are scheduled, and if there are problems, you just call them or send them an email. I’d recommend them highly!

The experience was fine overall. The only thing that I don’t like about them is that they have a habit of giving a low average-house estimate that is significantly lower than what the job ended up costing. However, they’re competent in what they do.

We have an active leaking roof. We called HG on Tuesday and they said they could send someone on Friday. We asked if they would be able to repair it on Friday and they said yes. We did not call another company because we had used HG before and were satisfied. They were supposed to arrive Friday morning. They were a no show and no call and did not return the 3 phone calls we made to see if they were coming. I had read that they might have been purchased by someone else. Its clearly not the same company it used to be and i will not be calling them in the future!!!

A thorough and professional job on a house with challenging heights and slopes

They came out and reviewed my situation and gave an estimate for three tasks to be performed. I opted for only one, the solid drain from the downspout to discharge water away from the house. After providing us a written estimate, we were able to call their office and schedule the work according to our schedule. They technician arrived on time and reviewed the work to be done. He completed the job in short order and submitted his bill, which was in line with the estimate.

.We have been using this vendor for 3 years and their service is very satisfactory. They remove leaves and twigs and make certain that the water is running freeely down the leaders. they made an appointment and showed up on the day and time promissed and did the job effectively and efficiently and cleaned up the debris. My home is a bit tough as the roof has a steep pitch and is 3 stories high. The fee was reasonable under these circumstances.
