Higher Ground Rainwater Systems

It was great. Sorry I did not have it done sooner. He - Joel did more than wash windows inside and out, he worked very hard to scrape paint off windows. Previous window washers did not do this. This was not just someone outside using a hose. He climbed a ladder and washed each window with the care I used when I did it myself 40 years ago. I can not recommend Higher Ground highly enough. And he was super quiet.

They were pretty quick to respond to my query. The workers were very thorough, cooperative, knowledgeable about the service they were providing. They were respectful of my property and very reasonable in price. I signed up for their twice a year service contract!

Higher Ground did an excellent job cleaning out my gutters. This is the second time using their service and will definitely call them again.

The quality of the service was excellent. The two gentlemen who did the work were very diligent and very professional. The only reason I gave them a "B" on Punctuality is because I was told they would be here first thing in the morning and in fact they had another job on their schedule before mine. But, they were very apologetic and the owner also called me the next day to apologize. I would use them again.

They did a great job . . . . no more clogged gutters. I'll call them again.

These two guys were GREAT! My windows are so clean, they literally sparkle. They're so clean that you could do a window commercial at my house. Only one thing that could use improvement . . . . cleaning/wiping the window sills should be included as part of the window cleaning task. Other than that, I plan to use the service again and again and again . . . . . I don't plan on ever washing windows again!

They were fabulous. I liked it all, the guys were friendly, they gave me an estimate, they came back and did the work. It was exactly what they said it would be and it solved my problem. I couldn't be happier.

First they sent a crew out to look at the house and wash it. The guy doing the work (not the owner) first called for directions and then called to say it was larger than the ad allowed and it would probably be several hundred dollars more than we had paid for the Big Deal. I expressed that the deal could be viewed as misleading because of the wording of the ad. It stated 2000 square feet but they meant 2000 square feet of area and not a 2000 sf house. How many people can say " My house is x tall by x high and x long times the number of sides and come up with an understanding of what the true price would be?" Anyway, the worker agreed to call the owner and discuss this with him. the worker called back and said they would do it for $75 more but that they were losing money (not my fault). He called later and said they were done. I called our tenants later that day and asked how the house looked and said it had not been done. I called and contacted the owner, and to make the story short, they had washed the wrong house. Okay, let's make this quick: They came back and washed our house. The tenants called and said they had only done three sides and that they had left the water hose out and running. I went out and verified the wash job. I called the owner. He made them go out and finish it but asked for more money just to cover his cost. I said yes just to get it done. We agreed to meet and look at it together while the crew was finishing up. Met the crew just before he got there. The main guy said they didn't wash the porch because that wasn't included. In my discussion with the owner he said they would specifically do that. He and I looked at the house and the crew had not washed the porch and the corners were still dirty. He said he specifically told them to do it and they didn't. He agreed the whole ordeal was a big fiasco and said they would wipe down the porch and corners and not charge me the extra he originally asked for if they didn't have to drag out the equipment again so I said yes. In all, the owner was a good guy with a poor crew. He was very professional but the crew member was not and ultimately you are responsible for your workers. He was very apologetic and sincere but the experience was painful, took over three weeks to complete and I would definitely not use them again. I did suggest he restructure his ad and look at the crew member who did not follow his instructions and he agreed.

It was very good and excellent, they're nice guys and very professional. For the price, it was worth it to me. They were here on time and I have no complaints.

Great work, would hire again!

Screens were not left real clean and aome inside window sills were left littered with dust and dirt. We were surprised that the cost was about 10 times the come on price. We will not likely seek their services for pressure washing our house.

They were nice. They did the job. I paid them extra to do extra work. Their pricing was not very expensive. The quality of their work was good.

They did come out and did the job. It was extremely unsatisfactory to us. My wife and I could have done a better job. The first time that they came out, the equipment they had wouldn't work right. They came about 3 weeks later with some supposedly new equipment and they started doing the job. I wanted to ask them to leave but I figured we're stuck with that and we'll go ahead and stick it through. There were some spots that were clean and some spots that showed mildew and mold. As far as I got, I think it was overcharge, they didn't give us as much as we paid them for. It was just one of those bad experiences. But they were okay, they were pleasant. They did try to sell me more than what I was asking for. I didn't appreciate that. They were late when they came.

I complained to the owner about the kid who put up the ladder. I told him to put the ladder on FLAT ground or he could fall. It is not my job to tell an employee what he can or cannot do. I do not want anyone to get hurt and do not want to be sued in the process!

went well, he's a bit hard to get hold off via email or cell, but he does do wonderful work and is very friendly! We're signing up for yearly service with them and are considering speaking to them about rain water systems as well.

They were an accommodating and very professional crew. They used a high quality PVC drain pipe to resolve water accumulation due to downspout drainage during heavy rains. They took care to remove turf and than reapply it after burying the pipe. They also re-graveled part of my crawl space. I took a point off responsiveness only because there was some delay in getting pictures of the work they promised to send since I had to leave before they completed the job. I all other ways, they were great and had fair pricing.

They were prompt, courteous and efficient

Communication overall was good. The only issue I had was they took down all the gutters/drain pipes and didn't replace until the following week. During that week it poured, flooding the grounds around the house and resulting in exposing a pipe they had installed underground in the back. It was explained that they couldn't install any of the gutters/drains until the wood was done. They were higher priced than others I checked but again - I called and they got back to me asap which is important.

They arrived on time, had two very good people working, and finished in good time with absolutely no problems

Initially did not do a higher part of the siding but once I complained they came back in a few days with higher ladder and completed the job. I was initally dissappointed that they were going to leaving without totally completing the job because they did not bring a tall enough ladder.

I looked on Angies list and decided on getting estimates from Drain Right and Higer Ground gutter companies to replace all the gutters on my house.. Drain Right has scheduled a visit to provide an estimate. Higher Ground wants me to pay for an estimate. I live about 20 miles north of Northgate Mall . So apparently Higher Ground has so much business (or lose estimates for too many jobs to other contractors) they can't be bothered to provide an estimate without charging for it. Without any point of reference other than Angie's list why would anyone pay for an estimate. I hope this companie's actual work is better that their professionalism dealing with customers.

The house had water running over gutters in two places and some mold on basement wall due to outside water coming in. I requested their assessment of the problem and their proposed solution to problem. They said the problem was too small gutters and proposed new and larger gutters for $1250. They said they would send an electronic copy of the estimate and someone from the office would call. I never received their electronic estimate or the phone call. (However a month later I did receive an email from them asking if I ever received the electronic estimate.) In the end, the problem was fixed with $375 worth of work from another contractor.

We have been very satisfied with them. I have not had any problems whatsoever. The system is more expensive that other, but I could get this product to match the color of my roof which was a big plus. They have really held up through the weather and I have been really impressed with them.

Provider did an excellent job of cleaning house windows. The only negative was that I had to reschedule 3 times because they had so many other jobs to do. the work went very fast and was very professional once they started. I would use them again.
